Bill Hader-- Take this as a rumor I guess. Even though it really isn't. In an interview, "Saturday Night Live" castie Bill Hader revealed that he's read the script for the upcoming "MacGruber" movie. The verdict? It's a "hard-R" rating sort of affair. Sweet. (Vulture)

-- The lineup for the 2009 edition of the New York Film Festival has been revealed. Highlights include Pedro Almodovar's "Broken Embrace," Sundance winner "Precious" from director Lee Daniels, Michael Haneke's Cannes Palme d'Or winner "The White Ribbon" and Lars Von Trier's controversial art-horror flick "Antichrist." Seth RogenA new movie from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is always something to be excited about -- but if they recruit every pants-wettingly funny actor in existence to join them, then it may just be akin to a religious experience. We'll find out soon, because Variety reports that Seth Rogen, Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Jane Lynch have joined the cast of "Paul."

'Spider-Man: The Short Halloween'FROM SPLASH PAGE: Back in February, we brought you the news of an upcoming collaboration between Marvel Comics and "Saturday Night Live" regulars Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, titled "Spider-Man: The Short Halloween." The single-issue story promised to take a tongue-in-cheek look at the misadventures of a costumed party-goer mistaken for the real wallcrawler and kidnapped by Spider-Man's foes.

Along with an original story by the comics-savvy "SNL" duo, "The Short Halloween" features art by Kevin Maguire -- the man who helped put the "funny" back in funnybooks during the late '80s alongside another comedic duo, "Justice League" writers Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis.
