A few weeks ago, a story surfaced revealing a Jerry Weintraub pitch for a remake of the classic George Burns/John Denver-starring comedy "Oh, God!" Betty White was envisioned for the Burns role and Paul Rudd for the Denver part. Even if you're burnt out on this whole remake blitzkrieg that's been going on, it's an interesting thought. But has it progressed further than that? We asked Rudd recently on the set of "My Idiot Brother."

"No, no. I had heard that online," he said. "Somebody asked me that question and I said, 'What are you talking about? I've never even heard of this.' And then I got an e-mail with a link to the story." Read more...

Let me set the scene: four of the stars of "You Again" gather to do some press. Betty White, Sigourney Weaver, Odette Yustman and Kristen Bell. Things are going fine enough until Bell decides to go off on a long-winded explanation of character motivations and... snore. Her co-stars feel the same way, and they tell her so.

Let me tell you something-- you do not want to be on the receiving end of a Betty White/Sigourney Weaver tag team assault. You also do not want to disrespect Weaver, or mention "Avatar" in her presence. Thanks Funny or Die. I'll never get tired of seeing the White take people down a peg.

I've been shoring up my strength all day in preparation for writing this post. The growing Legend of Betty White has taken on a life of its own at this point. She simply can't be stopped. There's nothing wrong with it of course-- White is a national treasure, a talented performer with a knack for playing her sweet seeming naivete as uproarious comedy. But I wonder if her reborn celebrity is leading the higher powers in Hollywood to pitch her for inappropriate roles.

George Burns was hilariously funny in a very dry and straightforward way. It's a persona that played perfectly opposite John Denver in the classic comedy "Oh, God!" Now Deadline is reporting that producer Jerry Weintraub, who has reportedly been working with Warner Bros on getting a remake going for some time, has pitched the idea again with White envisioned for the lead Burns role.

My initial response to the idea was, "Oh no, the overexposure continues." After turning it over in my head for a few hours -- and accounting for the John Denver replacement that Weintraub has in mind -- I'm starting to warm up a bit. Read more...

So last night, this happened:

The MTV Movie Awards are always an exciting time, and sometimes attending celebrities simply get caught up in the heat of the moment. Sandra Bullock, accepting a Generation Award for her outstanding efforts in 2009, was confused when award presenters Bradley Cooper and Betty White ("All About Steve" and "The Proposal" co-stars, respectively) were joined by Scarlett Johansson. Long story short, they kissed. Bullock and Johansson. As you can see above. What did Betty White think? Read more...

There are a few ways to get nominated for a Best WTF Moment at the MTV Movie Awards. Jumping naked out of a car trunk is right at the top. And that brings us to Ken Jeong, who finds himself up for a Golden Popcorn for his hilarious turn in "The Hangover" (you can watch the scene in question here). But the star is up against some stiff competition, one of which is Betty White's boob-groping role in "The Proposal." And like any gracious actor, he's practiced his "loser face" just in case he finds himself on the wrong side of the winner's circle. Take a gander below.

Sitting next to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have its charms, but the best seat at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards is a couple of aisles back. So if you were the lucky person sitting between Jackie Chan (!) and Betty White (!) what conversations would you have with them? Chime in below.
