While Ricky Gervais is busy working on his routine for hosting the Golden Globes, the folks orchestrating the Academy Awards are feverishly hunting for a host of their own.

Hugh Jackman, last year's master of ceremonies, has already turned down the gig, and now it appears that the dynamic duo of Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. have declined the opportunity to host in tandem as well. The obvious questions is, what is it about the Academy Awards that's putting these prospective hosts off? Does Oscar have something in his teeth?

Maybe it's a simple matter of not asking the right people, since Hollywood has no shortage of talented professionals that could do the award ceremony justice. If I were in charge of selecting a host, here are some of the folks that I'd consider. Read more...

I know the headline doesn't make a ton of sense, but gimme a break. It's punny. Like the Focker family name. Mission accomplished.

We've served up quite a bit of "Little Fockers" coverage so far. All the way back to the earliest rumblings that "The State" veteran David Wain might direct. Those plans ended up changing, with Paul Weitz (brother of "New Moon" director Chris Weitz) now at the helm. Laura Dern and Jessica Alba have also both since joined the cast.

"Little Fockers" is happening though, and the shoot is underway now. Not only does this mean that the movie is on track for its previously announced June 30, 2010 release date, it also means we can look forward to many more set pics. You'll find the first of them below the jump, in which stars Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro laugh at whatever shenanigans are unfolding in the scene being shot. Check it out after the jump. In the beginning, there was "Meet the Parents." Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro clashed comedic wits on the big screen, and it was good. In the second installment, "Meet the Fockers," the Stiller/De Niro powerhouse shared their screen time with the elder Fockers, the parents of Stiller's character Gaylord, played by Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. Gaylord's met his in-laws and introduced said in-laws to the elder Fockers. What does that leave?

"Little Fockers"!! We've known for awhile that the Focker-spawn will be the next members of Stiller's growing fictional family to hit the big screen. Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant" director Paul Weitz will helm it and the key cast members will return. But the latest news? Jessica Alba. Read more...

Paul WeitzA few days ago, Universal Pictures announced a release date of July 30, 2010 for “Little Fockers,” the third movie in the Ben Stiller-Robert De Niro “Meet the Parents” comedy soon-to-be-trilogy. The only problem is, somebody forgot to tell the director.

“Oh really?” Paul Weitz marveled when we interviewed him after that news swept across the web. “I don’t know anything about that.”

All the “About a Boy” filmmaker knows is that he’s currently hard at work finishing “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” for its October 23rd release. He’s set to begin filming the Ben Stiller flick “in a couple months or something." But the announced July 2010 release? Read more...

Bruno and friendsBrüno attracts attention wherever he goes. Fan love him, rubes love to hate him and celebrities flock to his charismatic presence. How many people out there can claim to have scored photo time with Dirty Harry, Derek Zoolander and the man who gave us "The 40 Year Old Virgin." And maybe it's just me, but I'd definitely be a little afraid to have the wife of a man who carries around a .357 Magnum clawing her way up my back.

I suppose that's all just another day in the fast-paced life of your typical gay Austrian fashion reporter. Proceed past the jump to see the ridiculous in all of its stunning glory. Read more...

In this exclusive clip from "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," Jedediah Smith (Owen Wilson) lays out his plan for rescuing security guard Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) to a clueless Octavius (Stephen Coogan). Will they succeed? My guess is yes. Though things will almost certainly not go according to plan. If only the Jonas Brothers' cameo in the film could help them...

Ben Stiller and Owen WilsonBen Stiller fans have been waiting on a follow-up to his cult classic film "Zoolander" since its release in 2001 -- but other than a few joking comments from screenwriter John Hamburg, we haven't heard much on that front to get us hopeful. Still, as Zoolander himself proclaimed, "You gotta tame the beast before you let it out of its cage." Now, it's looking like that tiger's getting ready to pounce.

"I'd love to do 'Zoolander 2,'" the actor proclaimed in an interview with Screen Rush. "We've actually worked on a script over the years and hopefully it'll happen. It's just a matter of ... getting it all together and finding the right story, but it would really be fun to do that again." Read more...

Hank Azaria, Ben Stiller and Amy Adams at the 'Night at the Museum' sequel premiereFROM MTV.COM: The nation's capital may have the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court, but yesterday the hottest ticket in town was the world premiere of "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian."

Held at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the red carpet was star-studded, with a guest list that included Ben Stiller, Amy Adams, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais, Hank Azaria and more.

A follow-up to 2006's wildly successful "Night at the Museum," "Battle of the Smithsonian" finds Ben Stiller's character — now a successful business owner — racing to the Washington landmark to assist his magical friends, who are locked in storage in the museum's vast underground vault at the mercy of an ancient Egyptian tyrant played by Azaria.

Ben StillerBen Stiller may be fathering little Fockers, and planning more nights at the museum, but he's also planning to spend just as much time behind the camera. According to Variety, Stiller is set to put his his directorial duties to use on a new comedy called "Help Me Spread Goodness."

"Goodness" is all about a Chicago banking man who falls for a Nigerian Internet scam. While the film will take a humorous angle, it won't be as silly as Tracy Morgan's scam story. Read more...

'Little FockersHere at MTV Movies, we’ve been following the status of Ben Stiller’s upcoming "Little Fockers” pretty closely. Maybe we just have an adolescent obsession with curse word puns. Perhaps we need to get out more. Or possibly the prospect of a third entry in the “Meet the Parents” franchise is simply the sort of news that gives us hope in a cinematic world teeming with derivative, insulting, laugh-free “comedies."

In any event, let’s make sure you're up-to-speed. In February, we heard that “Little Fockers” was moving forward at Universal after two years of development, albeit without the services of original director Jay Roach. Then rumors surfaced that three new directors—David Wain (“Role Models”), Paul Weitz (“American Pie”) and Peyton Reed (The Break-Up”) —were in the running to helm the film. Wain confirmed to MTV News that he was indeed in talks with the studio. Read more...
