The MTV Movie Brawl 2012 is officially on! After the initial play-in and wild card rounds, 16 films have been selected to compete in a series of head-to-head single elimination matches in our March Madness-style bracket. In the end, only one of these flicks can be crowned the can't-miss movie of the year, and the choice is entirely up to YOU. Which movie will win the brawl for it all? Vote at MTV Movies Blog and make your choice known!

We never said we were going to make this easy on you, did we?

The Wild Card round of the MTV Movie Brawl 2012 allowed five new competitors into this competition, and ultimately, four did well enough to make it into our 16-film bracket. Two of those movies featured one of Hollywood's hottest actors, but now, one of them has to be eliminated… and the very, very difficult decision is currently in your hands.

It's Robert Pattinson versus Robert Pattinson in our second match of the MTV Movie Brawl 2012, presenting a seemingly impossible choice for RPattz lovers. How do you decide between one movie over the other? It comes down to which of the two projects piques your interest more: "Cosmopolis," the surrealist thriller from visionary auteur David Cronenberg, or "Bel Ami," the adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's novel that sees Rob locking lips with Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas. It's a difficult decision, one we certainly don't envy. All the same, we're more than a bit curious to see the outcome…

"Bel Ami" is a popular upcoming release in the "Twilight" fan community, largely because it features intimate scenes between stars Uma Thurman and Robert Pattinson. The story follows Pattinson's Georges Duroy as he ascends the society ladder in France, using his sex appeal to get him there.

We already know there are some downright dirty scenes, but MTV's Josh Horowitz asked Pattinson at the weekend junket for "Eclipse" exactly what the score is: who gets more bare skin screen time, Uma or Robert?

In "Bel Ami," an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's 1885 novel, "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson plays Georges Duroy, the ruthless main character who schemes his way to a position of power by manipulating high society women in France. As the newly released pic below illustrates, Uma Thurman is one of those consorts. Click the image to check out the other pic, which features Pattinson looking very serious.

FROM MTV.COM: While the steamy sex scenes in "Remember Me" (March 12) might seem like a big shock to Robert Pattinson fans used to the chaste kisses seen in the "Twilight Saga," the 23-year-old Brit said that they are nothing compared to the sex scenes he filmed for the drama "Bel Ami," due out in 2011.

"There's a lot of sex in ['Bel Ami']," Pattinson warned.

Some of the previous rumors surrounding the film's sex scenes are dubious, but recent reports that say Pattinson will be filming an orgy sequence for the movie all tie back to the fact that there is going to be a lot of explicit sex in "Bel Ami."

FROM MTV.COM: As soon as Robert Pattinson loses one high-profile leading lady, he gains another one for his upcoming film "Bel Ami." Of course, Nicole Kidman was never officially booked for the movie — an offer went out, but a deal was never solidified — but now everyone's favorite "Twilight" vampire is set to star opposite Uma Thurman in the picture, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Bel Ami" is an adaptation of 19th-century French writer Guy de Maupassant's short story of the same name. The plot follows Georges Duroy (Pattinson), a Parisian journalist and notorious ladies' man who overcomes a poverty-stricken childhood to become one of the city's foremost movers and shakers. Thurman is set to play the wife of Duroy's friend who eventually marries him after assisting in his personal and professional rise in French society.

Earlier this week, MTV's Jocelyn Vena challenged members of Team RPattz to choose a co-star for "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson's upcoming role in "Remember Me," which he's currently promoting out at Cannes. Well the results are now in. The verdict? You love yourselves almost as much as you love Emma Watson. Ya Pattinson-loving narcissists.

"Harry Potter" star Watson took the lion's share of the votes, with 41% favoring her. Trailing behind was the "joke vote" category -- I think I should be cast! -- which earned 30% of your clicks. The numbers take a sharp dip after that: Camilla Belle with 16% followed by Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox, with 7% and 5%, respectively. Read more...
