I hate "TRON: Legacy." Not the movie itself, mind you-- it looks freaking AWESOME. No, I hate the amount of time left between now and the long-awaited Disney sequel's December 17 release. Anticipation has been running high ever since the very first announcement. But it jacked up to unmanageable levels in late-July, when the San Diego Comic-Con trailer dished out a massive helping of kickass.
At least there's been a steady flow of promo material since then. Stills. Posters. An iDevice app. Samplings of the Daft Punk soundtrack. Toys upon toys revealed. Tons of stuff. Now there's a new poster. Revealing a new character no less! A Hungarian poster surfaced on Kinopoisk.ru (via /Film) featuring Beau Garrett's character Jem, one of the movie's four Sirens-- characters charged with overseeing the Grid Game armory. One of the most buzzed about movies at this year's Comic-Con was Joseph Kosinski's "Tron 2.0” (then titled "Tr2n"), Disney's sequel to their 1982 technology classic. It's hard to believe that a sequel to a twenty-six year old movie could create such a frenzy -- but hey, I was there, and the footage was pretty darn cool.
