Neil Patrick Harris saw his career take a Tarantino-esque turn after a co-starring role in "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle." The boy who was Doogie Howser had suddenly become a man, and a really freaking crazy man at that. The newfound fame is likely what led to his starring role on the hit TV series "How I Met Your Mother." By the time the "Harold & Kumar" sequel came up, there wasn't really a question about seeing Harris return; he is integral to the series now.
