By the Lords of Kobol, today is a fine day indeed for my fellow "Battlestar Galactica" fans. The SCI FI Channel has announced an official greenlight for the long in-development "Caprica" spin-off, placing an order for 20 episodes of the anticipated prequel series.
Slated for a 2010 premiere and starring Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales ("NYPD Blue"), Paula Malcomson (Trixie on "Deadwood") and Polly Walker (Atia on "Rome"), "Caprica" is set 50 years before "Battlestar Galactica" and follows two rival families: the Graystones and the Adamas.
