Tonight, President Barack Obama will deliver a highly anticipated address on the matter of national health care reform. The speech, undoubtedly one of the most important of Obama's career, has been described by insiders as a "game-changer" regarding his position on health care. Still, while Obama is an indisputably gifted orator and his speech tonight is of paramount importance to the people of America, can he measure up to some other famous Presidential addresses -- particularly on the subjects of alien invasions and imminent, Gary Oldman-led terrorist attacks?

If these five fictional Presidential speeches are any indicator, President Obama has his work cut out for him when speaking to the nation tonight. Read more...

Look out Will Smith, you have some friendly competition in the race to play our first African-American president. When we caught up with Denzel Washington at Comic-Con for his new movie "Book of Eli," we couldn't help but ask him about rumors that he might play Barack Obama.

Watch him address that in the video below, and then be sure to check out the rest of our Comic-Con video interviews with Anna Faris, James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez, Andy Samberg and more.

During last night's primetime press conference, President Barack Obama elevated his "hip" factor even further by dropping a somewhat indirect reference to "The Matrix" into his defense of health care reform. Here's the quote: "If there's a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that's going to make you well?"

Of course, any "Matrix" fan will tell you that the blue pill is the wrong choice. That one is Neo's (Keanu Reeves) out, his last chance to remain blissfully ignorant of real-world realities. The red pill makes his "blinders come off," teaching him the truth of what the world has become. Is the President trying to tell us that we should chillax in our blissful ignorance? Or am I just picking nits? Check out the video below and decide for yourself; the reference comes in at around 2:22.

It's all "Twilight" at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards (airing live at 6:30 p.m. ET), and that even extends to the red carpet. In the video below, "Twilight" stars Mike Welsh and Christian Serratos compare Robert Pattinson to...Barack Obama? Yup. Find out what they say in the video below, and stay tuned for much more from the red carpet.

In the world of international politics, ceremonial gifts representing the various nations are often the drug of choice for visiting dignitaries. From ornamental swords to antique furniture, a US president can rake in dozens of items over the course of their administration.

Britisn Prime Minister Gordon Brown's trip to America this week was no different, and he brought along some goodies. Specifically, Brown presented the Prez with a pen holder constructed from wood used in the Victorian era anti-slave ship HMS Gannet. But that wasn't all: according to the Daily Mail, Obama also received the ship's certificate, a first edition biography of Winston Churchill and an assortment of high-value toys for his children.

So what did Gordon get in return? For his sake, we hope he really, really enjoyed "Star Wars." That's because Obama gave his English counterpart a basket containing 25 American films, ranging from "E.T." to "Some Like It Hot." It's worth noting that American DVDs (known as Region 1) won't play on British DVD players (known as Region 2), so we hope they brought along the PAL versions. For a full list of films now in possession by the Gordon household, head after the jump. Read more...

It's been a much talked-about subject: with Will Smith's interest in potentially playing our new president Barack Obama, could that lead to something real? If that happened, director Spike Lee seems like someone who'd be interested in telling Obama's rags-to-riches story.

Not so fast. Lee tells MTV News that he has no interest in an Obama biopic. "Everybody and their mama is doing a documentary on Obama," he said during an interview for his new Sundance film "The Passing Strange." Watch his comments firsthand in the video below, and then click here to read more about it.

The wave of emotion that emanated today from Washington D.C. even reached Park City, Utah. Yes, even with movies to sell all the actors and filmmakers MTV News spoke to today had one thing on the brain: President Obama. Well, actually Chris Rock was thinking more about former President George W. Bush. "George Bush is NOT president," he grinned and repeated and grinned again. A small part of that smile might also be attributed to his new documentary, "Good Hair" that just debuted here to positive attention.

Even if poor Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson were sick as dogs during my weekend chat with them they still were awfully entertaining. We'll be unveiling our full interview in a matter of days but we've got a choice few moments to share with you right now. First of all if you're wondering if Scarlett's got another album up her sleeve, check out this story and you'll see she's in the music business for the long haul.

And then there's Scarlett's relationship with Barack Obama. Remember their supposed email relationship that emerged over the summer? Well, it sounds like Scarlett's not going to be emailing the President-elect anytime soon. "I'm banned from using my email now. The media won't allow that," she said. Watch the rest below.

Barack ObamaPresident-Elect Barack Obama truly has a full plate. Revitilize a sinking economy. Energize a nation. Rehabilitate America's fragile standing in the world. Oh, and get through four "Twilight" books with his youngest daughter.

Yes, according to the latest issue of US Weekly, Stephenie Meyer has a couple fans who will be moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in a couple months. The magazine reports that the President-Elect and his ten-year-old daughter Malia often bond over addictive book series, "They read all the Harry Potter books together and have moved on to the Twilight series."

What does this mean? A Presidential screening of "Twilight" at the White House? Robert Pattinson for Secretary of Dreamy Eyes? Anything is possible. Are you surprised that "Twilight"-mania has gone all the way to the Oval Office?

When we caught up with mega-star Will Smith earlier this summer, the actor voiced his enthusiasm for playing Barack Obama in a big-screen biopic of the then-presidential candidate. "America loves ears, you know?" he joked with us, tugging on his familiar lengthy lobes.

All well and good since Obama himself told MTV that Smith was his first choice as an actor to bring his impressive story to the big-screen. So that begs the question, now that Obama's presidential quest was a successful one, how long until Hollywood comes knocking on Smith's door?
