David Slade's still in the thick of "Eclipse" filming, and in his most recent tweetage from the set, it sounds like there's some violence in the mountains getting underway with some celebration on the side. A few of his cast members still seem to have Rome on their minds, which is understandable given the "New Moon" footage premiering there.
In completely non-"Twilight"-related posting, Ashton Kutcher's been hanging out with Barbra Streisand and Jeremy Piven headed out to an event being held by Matt Damon in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Ice-T's been shooting up the post-apocalyptic world of "Borderlands." To find out what he thoughts of it, as well as what Amanda Bynes thinks of marriage and what Arnold Schwarzenegger's been up to with a bunch of boy scouts, click onward to the Twitter-Wood report for October 22, 2009. Simon Pegg happily tweeted about the publicity he hopes to see "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" get in the U.S. now that an on-set burglary has resulted in a trial. If his co-star Megan Fox wasn't enough to get the film some attention, he predicts that his testimony will be.
One film that's been getting loads of Twitter attention this week has been "Zombieland," which everyone seems to have been invited to see. Shannon Elizabeth can be counted among those invitees and gets today's Twitter Pic of Day vote with the cutest zombie kiss you'll see this week. Check it out below along with Rumer Willis' backstage shot of a Govt. Mule concert, what Taylor Lautner has in common with a roller coaster and what Richard Kelly wants to see in Diablo Cody's "Sweet Valley High" movie. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for September 24, 2009. Read more...

Editor's note: There were apparently some technical difficulties last night, as Twitter-Wood never ran. So in lieu of today's Daily TwitPic, here's a special morning edition of Twitter-Wood for 9/14/09.
The VMA's trended nearly as well in the Twitter-Wood feed last night as they did on Twitter, and if you've had any internet access over the last 24 hours you probably know that a lot of that was provoked by Kanye West's unexpected interruption during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech. Elizabeth Banks, Kat Dennings, John Stamos and others contributed to the online conversation that followed, expressing their thoughts on his interjection.
Football was pretty popular last night as well, and if you didn't know that Ashton Kutcher was a Bears fan, you do now, thanks to Demi Moore's photo tweet of her defeated fan-husband after the Green Bay Packers stuck it to Chicago in the fourth quarter. Check out all of those posts, as well as Edgar Wright's suggestion to Jason Reitman, Sasha Grey in a Wonder Woman costume and much more. It's in the Twitter-Wood report for September 14, 2009. "Men Who Stare at Goats," the new George Clooney and Ewan McGregor film about psychic soldiers, kicked off a flurry of commentary on Twitter this week, and at least one producer out there loves Jeff Bridges' role.
There's been a lot of real-life drama sweeping through the Twitter-Wood feed as well this week, including Ted Kennedy's death and memorial service and the wildfires in Los Angeles that have forced thousands of residents out of their upscale L.A. neighborhoods. Shannon Elizabeth caught a shot of the fires from her living room window, which you can find below. It's all there along with Miley Cyrus and a factoid you likely never knew about Clive Barker in the Twitter-Wood report for August 28, 2009. Read more...
Could observations about the relationship between Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore reveal your key financial prosperity? Well, at least one CNBC analyst thinks they might, and the happy couple was amused enough to tweet their reactions today in the Twitter-Wood feed.
The feed experienced an image-heavy weekend of tweets -- enough that selecting a Twitter Pic of the Day was not a cut-and-dry decision this afternoon. In the end, I chose a shot that country music fans will appreciate and everyone else in the free world will at least experience bewilderment at. It's a candid photo from Vegas that Penn Jillette recently caught with singer David Allan Coe. Its creepy second-placing challenger was a piece of fan art someone put together for Rose McGowan. In the old days fans depended on pencils and crayons; now, they have 3-D rendering software. Feast your eyes below, because it's all in the Twitter-Wood report for August 24, 2009. Read more...
Brett Favre may have had problems sticking to a decision about his retirement over the last couple of years, but the talking heads of the Twitter-Wood feed let their opinions be known loud and clear today. In an abbreviated rundown, I've included input from Seth Meyers, Rainn Wilson and Ashton Kutcher, among others. Whatever your take, hopefully we can all agree that he was great with Cameron Diaz in "There's Something About Mary."
The second Brett in the report today, Ratner, wished his favorite director, Roman Polanski a happy birthday. Click on down to read what he had to say alongside a post-"Inglourious Basterds" suggestion for the Weinsteins, Tom Felton's return to the gym, and Ice-T's photo op with Tracy Morgan. Don't worry. Ashton Kutcher appears to be safely on the ground and tweeting following an engine emergency in his plane. Thanks to the wonders of the Twitter-Wood feed, his well being has been verified. Today's report actually contains several notes of danger, with the "Spread" star showing up first. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler suffered injuries after a fall from stage during a concert in South Dakota. I don't have a Twitter account on file for Tyler, but writer Brian Lynch was on hand to tweet.
Significantly less dangerous was director James Gunn's birthday this week, which earned Twitter Pic of the Day honors. The "Slither" director apparently celebrated with some sushi and Lex Luthor himself, Michael Rosenbaum. You can scope out a link to that shot, as well as swearing advice and "Twilight" hopes from Peter Facinelli below. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for August 6, 2009. Read more...
The Twitter-Wood feed was heavy on media today. I've got some links below to pics from "Eclipse" director David Slade and actor Peter Facinelli, as well as a video clip from director Lloyd Kaufman of his Comic-Con roast where Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee said a few words.
Slade was one of several directors posting updates about current projects over the last 24 hours. Lee Unkrich of "Toy Story 3" tweeted in with some voice acting news and Jon Favreau was riding his keyboard to express how much he enjoys the editing room. Click on down to find all of them, as well as Ashton Kutcher's defense of recently released, re-admitted NFL star Michael Vick. It's in the Twitter-Wood feed for July 28, 2009. Read more...
The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled 5-0 today that Al Franken won last year's Senate election, and it didn't take long for responses to start popping up in the Twitter-Wood feed, including reactions from Larry King and Graham Linehan. Magician and quick-witted thinker Penn Jillette also brought politics into his tweets, pointing out the relevance of his film "The Aristocrats" in a recent Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision.
The conversations weren't all political though. Rose McGowan showed off a shot a of the new dog she adopted and Demi Moore posted her own puppy shot of Ashton Kutcher rolling around on the set of his new movie "Five Killers." Meanwhile, "Twilight" actor Peter Facinelli was just innocently trying on a bikini and Russell Brand kept to what he does best, lacing an apology to his neglected Twitter followers with dog-and-leg-humping imagery. You'll find all of this and more below in the Twitter-Wood report for June 30, 2009. Read more...

Dive in, because I've got behind-the-scenes commentary from Jon Favreau, Ashton Kutcher, and Jeremy Piven in today's handpicked crop of Twitter-Wood tweets. Favreau offers some praise up for Mickey Rourke's work thus far in "Iron Man 2," and Kutcher shares his thoughts on the foreign dubbing process for his new film "Spread," while Piven points out the common links between his new movie "The Goods" and this summer's box office success story "The Hangover."
I also rounded up a few thoughts from film folks about yet another entertainment industry death, comedian and impersonator, Fred Travelena, as well as Bernard Madoff's sentencing today, and Denzel Washington's latest post about Michael Jackson. You find all of these, a picture taken by "Buffy" actress Amber Benson at one of my local Chicago comic book shops, and much more in the Twitter-Wood update for June 29, 2009, after the click.
