Ashton KutcherWhen it comes to the biggest casting news of the day, don't look towards the big screen; it's the small one in your living room that holds today's hugest surprise.

Justin Bieber's already told you to never say never, and he's living up to that motto by following his massively successful documentary with his first scripted big-screen role — opposite Ashton Kutcher, no less!

The Los Angeles Times reports that Bieber and Kutcher are joining forces for "What Would Kenny Do?," a buddy movie that focuses on a teenager (Bieber) who is helped through the ordeals of high school living by a 30-something hologram (Kutcher) claiming to be the adult version of himself. If that doesn't sound like a winning combination to you, we're clearly not on the same page.

In fact, we're so into the idea of Bieber and Kutcher's looming team-up that we couldn't help ourselves from thinking about some other classic buddy movies they would reinvent with stunning success. Sharing steamy big-screen sex scenes with "That '70s Show" alums is starting to become a bit of a trend for Natalie Portman.

Portman kicked things off this December with a very well publicized scene in "Black Swan," in which she and "That '70s Show" starlet Mila Kunis engage in a little girl-on-girl lovin'. Now, thanks to the red-band trailer for the raunchy rom-com "No Strings Attached" (not to be confused with Kunis and Justin Timberlake's "Friends With Benefits"), movie fans can drink in various shots of Portman and erstwhile "'70s" star Ashton Kutcher in the throes of semi-nude coital ecstasy. As an extra-special treat for the ladies, the trailer closes with a close-up of Kutcher's bare buttocks.

The "That '70s Show" connection aside, however, "Black Swan" and "No Strings Attached" couldn't be more different (please contain your shock). Read More...

Sarah Jessica Parker and Zac EfronThe end of the year is approaching, and all the Hollywood rom-com heavyweights are slowly making their way towards "New Year's Eve." Today's newest official cast member is Sarah Jessica Parker, who will round out at least one of the story lines for another previously attached actress. The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop that SJP will be playing the mother of Abigail Breslin, who relies too much on her daughter for company. There goes anyone's lingering hopes of "Sex and the City 3." Good-bye, Carrie Bradshaw!

Two other actors are circling the project with interest. Halle Berry is looking to come on board as a caterer who runs into a former flame. Meanwhile, Zac Efron is interested in playing a bike messenger who crosses paths with Michelle Pfeiffer's character, a frustrated secretary who decides to work on her unfulfilled New Year's resolutions from the previous year. Apparently Efron's character will help her cross some of those puppies off. Read More...

Jessica BielIt looks like Ashton Kutcher isn't the only Valentine's Day sucker who also loves to ring in the New Year. The Hollywood Reporter has the word that Jessica Biel is also going to be returning for the "Valentine's Day" follow-up, "New Year's Eve."

As with Kutcher, it's unclear whether Biel is going to reprising her character from the previous film. In "New Year's Eve," she's playing a married pregnant woman who is trying to be the first to give birth on New Year's Day in order to win a cash prize from the hospital. This doesn't seem to gibe with her career woman in "Valentine's Day" -- but who knows, maybe she did marry Jamie Fox's character and get pregnant during the 10-month break. If so, they sure moved quickly. Read More...

Ashton KutcherIt's not every day audiences get to see Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Hilary Swank acting opposite Ashton Kutcher, Abigail Breslin and Lea Michele. But that's exactly what's likely to happen in "New Year's Eve." Gary Marshall's thematic follow-up to this year's "Valentine's Day" has plans to blow the previous film's ridiculous number of stars out of the water, and is already well on its way to doing so.

Breslin and Michele have already been announced, but today The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that De Niro, Pfeiffer, Swank and Kutcher are in negotiations for roles as well. And you can toss Hector Elizondo into the mix, too, because Marshall previously told MTV that the "Pretty Woman" actor "has to be in all my movies." Read More...

The red-band trailer for the new Justin Timberlake-Mila Kunis romantic comedy "Friends With Benefits" requires no introduction -- the title basically explains the premise -- but we're going to provide one anyway, just for yuks. JT and Mila play two pals who realize that they're completely wrong for each other romantically (which, in movie terms, means that they're completely right for each other), but they still want to make the beast with two backs together. And so they agree to become -- you guessed it -- friends with benefits.

Of course, they soon discover that there's no such thing as "no strings attached"... which reminds us of this Natalie Portman-Ashton Kutcher rom-com that recently got a trailer and is also about best pals who decide they can do the nasty while keeping things platonic... but soon discover they may have been mistaken. So what was that flick called again? Oh yeah, "No Strings Attached."

Anywho, the trailer for "Friends With Benefits" sells itself: It's basically two-and-a-half minutes of Timberlake singing that Semisonic song "Closing Time" and having sex with Kunis, usually both at the same time and often while the two of them are naked. Read More...

No matter how much you dig Zach Galifianakis, you really can't appreciate his brand of humor without having seen at least one episode of "Between Two Ferns." In the latest "Ferns" episode, Bruce Willis gets cozy between the plants to promote "Red" (in theaters Friday), and is only slightly less awkward than previous guest Sean Penn.

There's a lot of Galifianakis talking in this one, and his deadpanned questions are probably the funniest he's had in any of Funny or Die web series. The best zinger? After asking Willis how many children he has ("three"), Galifianakis asks, "Which is your favorite? Ashton?" Read More...
