There was a lot to catch up on in Twitter-Wood today after my long weekend, including the 40th anniversary of Monty Python's first appearance on television, which member John Cleese and fan Edgar Wright both noted. Elsewhere, Edward Norton and Danny Masterson had good things to tweet about Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke's live solo performance, and Miley Cyrus and Ashley Tisdale joined Paris Hilton among those tweeting their Halloween costume plans for 2009.
There is loads more to check out, though, believe it or not, as James Gunn tweeted a pic of himself offering juice to a horse that may belong to Rainn Wilson and Jeremy Piven posted a behind-the-scene shot of Matt Damon from "Entourage." I can't even summarize it all today, I retweeted so many people. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter-Wood report for October 5, 2009. Read more...

Les Paul's death topped the list of trending topics on the Twitter-Wood feed today, and Penn Jillette, Neil Gaiman and Steve Agee were among those sharing their reflections on the music figure's passing. One of them was even invited to play with him at one point, but I'll let you read on to find out which of them it was.
Elsewhere, Eliza Dushku admitted to her Twitter followers that she hasn't seen "Twilight" yet and asked them if its anything worth checking out. I'm guessing she's not in the dark about it anymore. Click on down to read all of those tweets and witness Bob Saget's Twitter victory of the day, as well as my Twitter Pic of the Day featuring Dane Cook, Jeremy Piven and Kid Rock. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for August 13, 2009. Read more...

North Korea's release of American journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee today proved once again how quickly the news pipeline flows into the Twitter-Wood feed. Actors like John Cusack, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan were among the first to express their support via tweets and celebrate the pair's pardon, which followed closed-door negotiations with former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Piven's appearance on WWE RAW last night earned him Trending status on Twitter's sidebar, and he responded in kind by posting my selection for Twitter Pic of the Day (narrowly beating out Cusack). Thirdly, anyone with a soft spot for Disney tween and teen celebs will want to read the gushing exchange between Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale that took place today. It's all in the mix below in the Twitter-Wood Report for August 4, 2009. Read more...
Farrah Fawcett still has scores of fans both inside and outside of Hollywood, and stars from Emma Roberts to Paris Hilton tweeted condolences today in the Twitter-Wood feed. There were also plenty of Shaq fans busy reacting to the NBA star's trade to Cleveland today, including Jeremy Piven and Danny Masterson.
Meanwhile, an exhausted Jon Favreau proved that a full day filming "Iron Man 2" wasn't enough to dampen his sense of humor, as he tweeted a completely legit shot from the movie's set. Click onward for all of this and yet another celeb reaction to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" in the Twitter-Wood report for June, 25, 2009. Read more...

Today on Twitter, Jon Favreau and Russell Brand both dropped some notes about films that they're currently making, while Fred Durst and Larry King mentioned some movies that they've been excited about recently.
Durst isn't the only one excited about "Iron Man 2," though. Favreau showed he has a sense of humor about the tightened security surrounding his movie's production and detail leaks with a little re-tweeted -- or RT'ed, to use the Twitter vernacular -- picture humor. All that and more today in your Twitter-Wood feed for Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Read more...

I am back, and Friday must be a busy day in Hollywood, because the "Twitter-Wood" feed was tweeting off the hook this afternoon. As usual, you can learn a lot from Rainn Wilson and Wil Wheaton. Both were rattling off tales of recent escapades. But there was plenty of shop talk, too, with writer Brian Lynch offering up his thoughts on James Cameron's "Avatar" (not to be confused with M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Night Airbender").
Also, I'm tagging today's post with an advance warning of brief "Star Trek" nerdery, as Wil Wheaton's post calls out the version of Christopher Pike in the original TV series, not the new one played by Bruce Greenwood in the J.J. Abrams film. And with that, here is today's Hollywood Twitter report in the words of the actors, directors, and writers who make it all happen. Read more...
