Arnold Schwarzenegger is always going to be a movie star to me, even though the duty of governing California has kept him away from Hollywood in recent years. Here's hoping that his cameo appearance in "The Expendables" is a sign that he wants to get back to acting after he finished with politics.

He's still hooked in enough that he'll take a trip to present an award. Kirk Douglas, one of the original tough guy actors, was recently given the British Film Academy's Britannia Award, and Schwarzenegger was the one to present it to him. Douglas has been quiet in recent years, but he's also 92 years old. With classics like "Spartacus," Stanley Kubrick's "Paths of Glory" and "Gunfight at the OK Corral" under his belt, the man has earned himself a rest, the better to observe the success of his son, Michael, and to collect lifetime achievement awards, like the one seen after the jump in today's Daily TwitPic. The Twitter-Wood feed started following its first canine today, as recent hacking victim and "Eclipse" actress Jodelle Ferland tweeted a pic referencing her dog "Genevieve Ferland." According to @gena_fur's Twitter account, Genevieve recently turned five, hates nail clippers and dressed as a princess last year for Halloween.

Lack of clothing was on the minds of two other "Twilight" series actors, though, as Tinsel Korey seems to have not yet found a dress for the "New Moon" premiere, and Charlie Bewley reported on his love of not wearing anything. Remarkably, I made none of this up. Check it out, along with an award Arnold Schwarzenegger recently presented to Kirk Douglas, a scandalous "Full House" photo and the reason "Iron Man 2" will show up to theaters late if it gets delayed. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 6, 2009. Read more...

--Sylvester Stallone has opened up on the secret scene in "The Expendables" featuring himself, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and my greatest dreams come to life. According to the actor, Willis plays the man who hires Stallone and his titular team for "a death-defying mission," but there's another operative that could take on the job — none other than Stallone's longtime rival, played by Schwarzenegger. "I talked about this scene with these guys for a long time, but I never thought it would come to fruition," said Stallone. (PopWatch)

--NBC is going from "Heroes" to "Zeroes" in an all-new television project from "Crank" duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Titled "Zeroes," the one-hour NBC project will focus on a crisis situation's final hour. "We want to drop right into it and sustain the absolute most berserk state of crisis, when all of the options have been exhausted," said Taylor. (THR) Read more...

It has finally happened. The moment I've waited for ever since I was old enough to enjoy a hard-R action film — which was younger than I'd care to let my mother know, thank you very much — has finally arrived.

Sylvester Stallone. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Bruce Willis. On screen. Together.

The trio of iconic Hollywood action heroes united this weekend to film a scene together for "The Expendables," Stallone's long-awaited ensemble action epic. The writer-director-actor was able to wrangle both Willis and Schwarzenegger for smaller roles in the movie, and while we first broke word of this reunion a few months back, the actual filming has commenced — and based on the admittedly scarce details, this not-so-secret scene sounds pretty wonderful. You know how you feel when you look at one of those blogs with all of the cute and fuzzy kitten pictures? Twitter-Wood's sort of like that today with good news following Elizabeth Taylor's heart surgery, Emmy Rossum with cotton candy, Paris Hilton with a monkey, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's happy breakfast picture.

All of those pics come in addition to an announcement by Jason Reitman that "Ghostbusters" fans should not want him to direct "Ghostbusters 3," as well as an on-set shot of Rainn Wilson with the band Frightened Rabbit, who recently got a tour of the office used in "The Office." Click on down to check out those posts and more. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for October 9, 2009. Read more...

Dane Cook has a proposal today for Ellen DeGeneres' replacement on "Ellen," now that she's going to be busy judging on "American Idol." Check it out, and see what you think. Cook leads the Twitter-Wood playlist today, right ahead of "Sorority Row" star Leah Pipes and Selena Gomez, who misses Freddie Prinze Jr.'s TV show "Freddie."

Eddie Izzard, Ice-T and previously featured photo subject Steve Agee all entered the running for the Twitter Pic of the Day today -- and though only one could come out on top, I've ranked them below, eventually giving Izzard the break because, well, he's run 39 marathons now, and that's worth acknowledgement. After all, how many have you run lately? Congrats to him, and congrats to you for getting to read the Twitter-Wood report for September 10, 2009. Read more...

Arnold SchwarzeneggerI couldn't resist. In yesterday's Twitter-Wood, as he sometimes does, Warmoth picked a Twitter Pic of the Day and a worthy runner-up. In this particular case, the competition is so tight that I'm including them both as your Daily TwitPic. Because really, Shaquille O'Neal's pink speedo and California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Conan the Barbarian" sword -- which he keeps in his office -- are both worth pointing out.

My favorite part of the Shaq posting is the hashtag he uses, #watchoutphelps, a reference of course to record-breaking Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. Maybe Shaq is hoping that the bright color of his trunks will distract the champion swimmer.

Then there's Schwarzenegger's sword. First, it's a sword. That automatically makes it worthy of attention. But it's not just any sword. The Governator swung that thing around as the shirtless, near-mute tough guy star of "Conan the Barbarian," an important piece of pulp film history. Respect to the man for keeping it on display in his office. Read more...

Ted Kennedy's passing this morning certainly didn't leave the Twitter-Wood feed untouched. I made my best attempt to summarize the spectrum of reactions today some retweets from Elizabeth Banks and Kevin Nealon.

It was also a massive photo-posting day for some reason. And when it came down to choosing between Shaquille O'Neal in a Speedo and Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Conan" sword, which in now housed at his California office, the hairs of choice were not easily split. Click on down there, and you'll find both of them, along with Warwick Davis' commentary on leaving his role as Filius Flitwick to replace Verne Troyer as Griphook the Goblin in "Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows." Also, the lovely Emma Roberts talks bikinis. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for August 26, 2009. Read more...

Do you like my punny headline?

A very strange week as far as your clicks go. In an odd change from the norm, not a single one of the top three stories for the week has anything to do with vampires. In fact, "Twilight" news doesn't pop up on the list until position number five. Could my Twilighter readers be slipping?

Before we ponder that question, let's take a quick look at the week's Box Office Poll. To no one's great surprise, Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" leads the voting, with 75% of your clicks. None of the other options really inspired you, with "Post Grad" tying for the second place spot with "staying home and watching TV." Ouch. Read more...

Taken out of context, today's Daily TwitPic is one of the strangest yet. Hell, it's strange taken in context. Arnold Schwarzenegger, action hero-turned-governor of California, may be a busy man these days -- running a state'll do that to ya -- but he still finds the time between signing bills into law for signing autographs.

These are very special autographs though, and not just because it's Ahnuld's signature on a detached car sun visor. That big stack of visors will return to their homes, used state cars that will be sold at a premium for their Schwarzenegger-signed goodness. Check out this TwitVid for more details and then hit the jump for the hot autographing action. Read more...
