What's a boy to do if he has the special ability to speak to the dead and his town becomes infested by zombies? According to the new teaser trailer for "ParaNorman," the answer is to apparently take it with a grain of salt.

The upcoming 3D stop-motion animated film, due out in August, comes from "Coraline" director Chris Butler and "The Tale of Despereaux" helmer Seth Fell. "ParaNorman" definitely aligns itself thematically with "Coraline," especially with Donovan's "Season of the Witch" being played in the background of the trailer. The teaser focuses more on the creepy, impressive stop-motion animation in the movie than on any sort of plot line, but it is better-served by that. The next trailer released can spend its time showing off "ParaNorman's" impressive voice cast.

Chris TuckerIt's been awhile since we've seen Chris Tucker on the big screen, but it seems all that will soon change, as Tucker is reportedly close to joining David O. Russell's "The Silver Linings Playbook" and "Neighborhood Watch" for Fox Searchlight.

"Playbook" is based on the novel by Michael Quick and according to Variety, Tucker would be joining previously announced stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro.

In the film, Cooper is a high school teacher who's institutionalized for depression and then released into the care of his mother. Tucker will reportedly play Cooper's quirky mental institute-dwelling friend who escapes every now and again to visit his buddy on the outside.

For "Neighborhood Watch," Tucker is in talks to star alongside Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill in the Akiva Schaffer-directed comedy that follows a group of neighbors who use their neighborhood watch as a front for them to escape their families, until they discover a plot to destroy the world. Hopefully Schaffer's second directorial effort will fair better than his first, "Hot Rod."

Hugh JackmanDirector Shawn Levy wants to take a "Fantastic Voyage" with Hugh Jackman. Really, who doesn't?

Deadline reports that the director wants the actor to star in his James Cameron-produced 3D update of the 1966 sci-fi flick about a rescue mission into the body. Still, the modern take on "Fantastic Voyage," which Deadline says has become a "dramatic love story," doesn't have a green light yet. But if the film does get the go-ahead it would certainly give the star something to do while the kinks for "The Wolverine" get worked out.

Check out the rest of today's biggest casting news in Hollywood, including Rachel Weisz possibly bewitching "Oz: The Great and Powerful" and a set of "Bones" stars headed to the big screen.

Black SwanIt was appropriate that for the last Twitter-Wood update of 2010, the feed included plenty of examples of what made the year great. "Black Swan" reactions continued to appear, while Michael Ian Black and Brody Stevens wished horrible fates upon people for the new year and Seth MacFarlane proposed a New Year's resolution for anyone who hasn't picked one yet.

Ice-T sounded off with his feelings about the police, as he apparently got pulled over this week. His rant, as well as Jeremy Piven's fear of saunas and Anna Kendrick's love for the show "Misfits" can be found down below.

Kevin SmithTwitter-Wood experienced a small Christmas miracle today as an outpouring of photography and song revealed that a double rainbow can still grab more attention than Lindsay Lohan in our feed. There were enough posts to fill a special-edition TW coffee-table book with images from those who saw it... and laments from those were out of town and missed it. But even that book wouldn't be able to capture "Twilight" actor Justin Chon's musical celebration of this natural spectacle.

Other highlights of the last 24 hours included Steve Martin's continuing jury duty adventure, as well as Kevin Smith's triumphant declaration that he's finished his sound mix for "Red State." You'll find those retweets and Christmas-related shock from Anna Kendrick after the jump.

Elizabeth EdwardsBetween Elizabeth Edwards' death and the anniversary of John Lennon's passing this week, the Twitter-Wood feed has been filled with condolences and memorial posts. Simon Pegg noted Lennon's legacy today, while Michael Moore, Alyssa Milano and Paris Hilton all shared their thoughts on Edwards' life.

Elsewhere, Eli Roth finally made it around to seeing the "Simpsons" "Inglourious Basterds" parody he was itching to find earlier this week, while Jeremy Piven hung out with some people in crazy masks. It's all documented along with Damon Lindelof's reaction to "Tron: Legacy."

Anna Kendrick has played Bella Swan's bestie in the "Twilight" movies and George Clooney's high-strung co-worker and traveling companion in "Up in the Air." But as far as we know, she's never shot blue lasers out of her palm to collect the souls of various wicked dudes around L.A. That's exactly what she does in the "Supervideo" below, which features the LCD Soundsystem song "Pow Pow" and is directed by "Street Kings" helmer David Ayer. We don't know exactly why she's doing this, but it sure is fun to watch.

What do you think of the Anna Kendrick "Supervideo"? Tell us in the comments!

Ice-T almost lost his iPad in New York today, and Twitter-Wood held its breath for a bit until he announced that one of his "SVU" pals managed to find it unharmed. Ice is calling it a "miracle," and I'm sure lots of iPad owners out there can empathize.

"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" is by far one of most trend-friendly subjects on the Internet right now. Anna Kendrick wants you to see her movie, Duncan Jones called Edgar Wright his geek, and Eli Roth threw his total support behind the film.
