Angelina Jolie is about to go back to some ass-kicking Lara Croft-like ways. But it's not in a sequel to her video game-based franchise. It's for her next flick currently shooting in Prague, "Wanted." On a break from the shoot to promote her new drama, "A Mighty Heart," Jolie set up the premise for the action film due next year.

"I am an assassin. I guess the idea behind the fraternity is if you knew, if you knew this guy was going to be Hitler, do you take him out today? Or do you wait? So it's assassinating those who would later become the mass murderers of the world or the people."

James McAvoy ("The Last King of Scotland") stars in the film as Wesley Gibson, a young man who discovers his father was an assassin. Jolie says "It's very much his story. I'm kind of his teacher." "Wanted" is the first English language film from acclaimed Russian director Timur Bekmambetov. His visually arresting films, "Night Watch" and "Day Watch," have fans wondering what he's got in store with his latest. Jolie gushes, "He is so cool. He used CG and all of that in a really original way. So it's really exciting." Read More...

Angelina Jolie may be on the verge of taking a year off from film, but before that happens she is positively giddy about one more upcoming role, calling her next shoot "an amazing chance to work with an amazing man, a hero of mine."

"I'm looking forward to a film I get to do with Clint Eastwood. It's so cool. And it's a great script," the Oscar winner told MTV News on the eve of the release of her latest drama, "A Mighty Heart."

The film she's referring to is the forthcoming "The Changeling", a drama she describes as "a real story of a child who was kidnapped in 1928...and [the] cover-up by the LAPD." Earlier this year Variety reported that Jolie would play "a woman whose son is abducted but retrieved; she suspects, however, that the returned child is not her kid." Read More...

It's not exactly the most upbeat source material, but Angelina Jolie has made the tragic true-life tale of murdered "Wall Street Journal" reporter Daniel Pearl an intensely personal project. Jolie plays the role of Pearl's wife, a woman whose life is shattered as her husband is kidnapped -- and eventually beheaded -- by Islamic militants in Pakistan. The question of whether the emotions-heavy film will resonate with movie audiences will be answered come September 14; for now check out the film's trailer below.
