-- It's been awhile, but I'm back with a look at what's going on Around the Blogosphere. First up for today is something from my good pal Jordan Hoffman at UGO. Hoffman has seen "2012" and he's not able to say much about it, but he did step up to confirm one fact: Woody Harrelson's character does indeed speak the words "Download my blog" during the movie. The thought over at UGO is that this should be the next great meme, something to replace the still-reigning "Chaos reigns" from director Lars Von Trier's genital-mutilating art-horror flick "Antichrist." -- Next up I have the greatest photo gallery of all time to share with you. It is called "Stormtroopers 365." It is (or will be, when it's done) 365 images of Imperial Stormtroopers and other "Star Wars" figures arranged in a variety of hilarious situations. "The Tourist" has had quite a ride these past few months. Further back than that even. First it was a possible "Valkyrie" follow-up for Tom Cruise. Then Charlize Theron started negotiating to star alongside Cruise. Following a year of silence on the project, the news broke last month that Angelina Jolie was now in talks to replace Theron. And somewhere in there, "Terminator Salvation" star Sam Worthington stepped in to replace Cruise.

That's not even mentioning the director changes. Bharat Nalluri was originally set to direct, way back when Cruise was still on the project. He fell off somewhere in the past year, and "The Lives of Others" director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck only recently stepped in to possibly replace him. It turns out that that's not happening either. Now it seems that "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" director Alfonso Cuaron may be moving in to helm, and that he'll be joined by Johnny Depp, who will step into the role once occupied by Cruise, then Worthington. Angelina Jolie is at her best when she's acting like a badass. And in this new trailer for "Salt," directed by "Patriot Games" helmer Phillip Noyce, you definitely get to see her acting like a badass. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who goes on the run after a captured Russian operative implicates her as a sleeper spy in a plot to kill the U.S. president. And then she dyes her hair jet black. It's hot. Watch the trailer.

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: So apparently "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart doesn't want to be like a certain Oscar-winning UN ambassador who has given birth to Brad Pitt's children. "I don't want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie," KStew told the British magazine Fabulous.

If you ask me, Angelina has a pretty darn impressive personal and professional resume — one nearly any human being on earth would kill to possess — but, hey, who am I to question Kristen's dreams and nightmares? I've admired her gritty acting talents since 2002's "Panic Room," and with "New Moon" coming up in a matter of weeks, her career is only on the rise. But if she doesn't want to model her career after Angie, who should she aspire to be? And, almost as important, whose Hollywood fate should she do everything she can to avoid?

It's been almost a week since Ridley Scott was in the trades. Did you miss seeing his name attached to another potential directorial gig? Well, this latest Scott news doesn't concern a new project. He has long talked about doing a movie about the Gucci family, which would presumably climax with the murder of former fashion mogul Maurizio Gucci, who was gunned down in 1995 by a hitman hired by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani. Now, according to Variety, Angelina Jolie has been offered the part of Reggiani.

Despite having more anticipated projects, like the "Alien" prequel (which we'd love to see Jolie star in), and more marketable ideas, like the "Monopoly" board game adaptation, on his plate, Scott is still actively developing "Gucci." The film is reportedly a priority for Fox 2000, which is in the process of hiring someone to rewrite the script. The story will span three decades, focusing not just on Maurizio Gucci's death but on his family's fashion empire in general. Read more...

Last week it was revealed that Angelina Jolie is well on her way to making "The Tourist" her next starring project. Today one more maybe has been revealed: "The Lives of Others" writer/director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. With key stars aligning around the movie, a 2011 release is looking likely.

Jolie's participation in "The Tourist" hinges on finding the right person to direct, Variety reports. Donnersmarck apparently fits the criteria, so expect the dominoes to fall if/when the director's participation is confirmed. Presuming everything works out, "Tourist" will be his first effort since his Oscar-winning work on "The Lives of Others" (2006). Read more...

A year ago, it seemed a remake of Jerome Salle's French thriller "Anthony Zimmer" was all set to begin filming in early 2009 with Tom Cruise and Charlize Theron starring and Bharat Nalluri ("The Crow: Salvation") directing. All of those players have now passed their respective hats though. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Theron is out and will potentially be replaced by Angelina Jolie.

The English-language redo, which is titled "The Tourist," had already seen Cruise replaced with "Terminator Salvation" actor Sam Worthington. Reportedly Nalluri is also off the film and producers seek a filmmaker who will work well with Jolie. Interestingly enough, the female half of Brangelina just finished shooting the action/thriller "Salt," for which she had replaced Cruise in the gender-switched lead role. Read more...

All of us here at MTV are excited for Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel. The director hasn't had anything to do with the series since the 1979 original, which is a bonafide classic. To honor Scott and his lasting contribution to badass women in film, we've paired up the lovely duo of MTV contributor Jenni Miller and Photoshop ninja/digital producer Sohyung Kang to produce a magical list of five leading ladies who could rock Ripley.

Although there aren't any hard and fast deets out there concerning Ridley Scott's prequel to "Alien," I've got my fingers crossed for a female badass to rival Sigourney Weaver's iconic Ripley. Since Weaver has stated publicly she doesn't think Ripley could be part of an "Alien" prequel, I have a few suggestions as to who could fulfill the role of cinema's favorite alien-killing, kitty-saving, space-feminist. The movies team working on location at San Diego Comic-Con this year did a kickass job. They flat-out crushed it. In addition to all of the coverage we've been rolling out since last Wednesday, there are literally boxes of tape just waiting to be digitized and served direct to your waiting eyeballs.

Since the onslaught has really only just begun (seriously, you have no idea), I figure now might be a good time to remind you of a few delectable video nuggets that you may have missed. I hadn't even seen some of these until yesterday. SDCC is a big show and the amount of coverage we have from it is almost overwhelming. So peep these vids before the next giant load rolls through. In town for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," Danny Devito dropped by the MTV studio and unsurprisingly was one of our funniest guests. Someone the conversation turned to nudity with Danny describing an upcoming episode where he bares all. "People want to see my naked body," the actor says, noting that he'd love to share the experience with a certain Angelina Jolie.
