MTV's After Hours has made a name for itself creating the highest quality late night entertainment around. But now, with the help of Ice T, the series could be making its big break into prime time programming.

Enter "Snowy River," which absolutely was definitely not shot on location at the Sundance Film Festival or anything like that (hint: okay maybe it was). Snowy River is a mysterious town with many terrifying murderers on the loose (you could get killed for playing peek-a-boo) and even more interesting inhabitants (just wait until you see the Inarticulate Twins). As the trailer teases, it will be a lot better than "NCIS"... we hope.

Captain JackThe tides are about to get stranger for Johnny Depp.

The Wrap reports that Depp is "close to a deal" for a fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean," surprising... well, nobody. The latest movie in the franchise, "On Stranger Tides," just passed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, and Jerry Bruckheimer is rumored to be meeting intensively with writers to polish up the screenplay.

We can hardly imagine what shenanigans Captain Jack Sparrow will get into this time, but we're sure the masterminds at Disney have something clever up their sleeves.

In the news after the jump, some major comedians check in to "Hotel Transylvania," a "Zombieland" star thinks the sequel won't ever happen and a brilliant moviemaker signs Christopher Walken on as Zeus.

Jason Sudeikis is one lucky MTV Movie Awards host because, not only is he friends with a previous Movie Awards host, he has one on hand at his other job.

When MTV News chatted with Sudeikis after the Sneak Peek Week preview of "Horrible Bosses," he talked about the advice his "Saturday Night Live" costar and former Movie Awards host Andy Samberg gave him about this weekend's big show. Here's a surprise: his advice wasn't very funny.

"It was merely, 'Have a good time,'" Sudeikis said. "When I asked him, 'Should I do it?' he said, 'Yes, you have to do it,' and I was like, 'Okay, 'but then I realized that's because he forgot all the hard work that went into it, and just remembering how fun it was after he was done with it and people probably telling him what a great job he did, which he did."

FletchIf you were a fan of Chevy Chase's 1985 comedy "Fletch," and couldn't help but have a soft spot in your heart for its 1989 sequel "Fletch Lives," then you are either going to love or hate this news.

Despite the rumor over the past decade that a "Fletch" prequel called "Fletch Won" is in the works, Deadline learned that Warner Bros. has instead acquired the rights to reboot the film and start a new franchise based on the Gregory McDonald series.

The first film follows a wisecracking investigative reporter named I. M. Fletcher who is trying to get to the bottom of a drug trade, but is distracted when a well-groomed man named Alan Stanwyk approaches him. Stanwyk tells him he has incurable cancer and offers Fletcher a lot of money to off him, not knowing he's an undercover reporter. Fletcher does some digging on Stanwyk and discovers his story is not as innocent as it seemed, and also manages to solve the drug trade mystery.

With Hollywood in reboot hysteria, "Fletch" just falls in line with "Arthur" and all the other '80s classics getting reboots. But this new version of "Fletch" won't survive without a good comedian at its helm to play the title character, so we've got some suggestions. Read More...

Adam SandlerApparently, we live in a world where Brad Pitt can play Sean Penn's father, and Adam Sandler can play Andy Samberg's. But while Pitt will play scenes opposite a younger version of Penn's character (and not Penn himself) in , Sandler and Samberg are in talks to star in a Columbia Pictures film called "I Hate You Dad" that would cast Sandler as Samberg's titular loathed papa.

Strangely, although the two are only 12 years apart, I can definitely see Sandler playing Samberg's father. Considering Samberg is Sandler for a new generation in many ways (and the two have similar comedic styles), the casting almost seems like it was fated to happen. Read More...

Johnny KnoxvilleThe stooges of our generation are shaping up to officially become "The Three Stooges."

Johnny Knoxville, Andy Samberg and Shane Jacobson are on the shortlist to play Moe, Larry and Curly respectively for the Farrelly Brothers' long-developing comedy, and honestly, the casting could not be more spot on.

Originally the "Stooges" were supposed to be played by Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn and Jim Carrey, but the latter two are officially separated from the film. This new casting obviously shows a very different take on the project than the original concept. Peter and Bobby Farrelly, who wrote the script, are directing the film. Read More...

I'll admit that I've come around to "Parks & Recreation." I'm usually pretty slow to pick up on new TV -- unless "Star Wars" is in the title, that is -- so it's a credit to the quality of the show that it's grabbed me so quickly. A big part of that is Aziz Ansari, who you may know as Raaaaaaaaaaandy from "Funny People" or that guy who talks over Jay-Z's "Hate."

Well Ansari is also a regular Twitter user and a common appearance in many of Brian Warmoth's Twitter-Wood posts. Yesterday, Ansari gave the micro-blogging world a scoop in the form of a photo. MTV pal Andy Samberg has a guest appearance coming up on "Parks & Rec" as Park Ranger Carl, a name so benign that the character will probably be anything but. Especially since it's Samberg playing the role. We'll see soon enough. For now, content yourself with this sneak preview in today's Daily TwitPic. Read More...

If there's one thing cool about Comic-Con, it's the hugely eclectic group of celebrities that the event attracts. Case in point the stars of the upcoming animated comedy "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," the lovely Anna Faris, "SNL" star Andy Samberg and "Role Models" rookie Bobbe Thompson.

The trio agreed to snap a photo in our booth, and it's below for your viewing pleasure. Don't forget to click here to browse the rest of our photo booth gallery, which includes Natasha Henstridge and Stan Lee.

One of the more amusing moments from last night's MTV Movie Awards -- of those that had nothing to do with Eminem, that is -- came when Andy Samberg faked out the viewing audience with his own take on the "New Moon" trailer (which debuted last night).

Samberg probably isn't hoping to impress any casting directors working on the "Twilight" saga, as his vampire appears to come more from the Dracula school of blood-sucking. Still, this trailer looks like my kind of "Twilight" movie, featuring garlic, basketball and a showdown with "Teen Wolf"! I wonder, how many of you viewers got that particular reference?
