The finale of the inaugural season of "Parks and Recreation" ended, hilariously, with broken bones and shattered relationships. Amy Poehler's loveable goofball Leslie Knope was this close to bagging her co-worker and one-time hump buddy Mark (Paul Schneider), only to see him tumble into the muddy pit they spent all season trying to transform into a public park. Slacker Andy (Chris Pratt) and nurse/community activist Ann (Rashida Jones), meanwhile, had come this close to breaking up after he'd spent all season wheelchair-bound following his own boo-boo-inducing fall into the same pit.

With all these cliffhangers up in the air and the second season set to begin on NBC tonight at 8:30 p.m., Pratt called up MTV News during some downtime on set to chat about what we can expect this year, who's the biggest jerk in the cast, and how he and new wife Anna Faris plan to celebrate the first episode. Anna FarisRecently, we broke the news that Anna Faris, Christina Applegate and Amy Poehler would be voicing the Chipettes in December’s “Alvin and the Chipmunks” sequel. So naturally when we caught up with Faris recently, we got the “House Bunny” star to squeal on all the details.

“I’m a Chipette!” she said excitedly. “And they make my voice sound even more annoying than it already is.” Read more...

Amy PoehlerEver since we broke the news that the sequel to the smash flick “Alvin and the Chipmunks” would be introducing the Chipettes, we’ve been working to uncover the top-secret identities of the girlfriend trio that will make sweet music alongside Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Recently, Justin Long revealed to us that two of the gals will be voiced by Anna Faris and Christina Applegate. Now, we finally know the identity of that mysterious third Chipette.

Number three is Amy Poehler, as revealed to us by “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” star Zachary Levi when we caught up with him on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. Read more...

Do you see the sort of anarchy that unfolds when you put the power to vote in the hands of the masses? During Amy Poehler's appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" yesterday, the "Parks & Recreation" star used the opportunity to lobby for your 2009 MTV Movie Awards votes. Sort of.

Poehler picked up two nominations for this year's awards ceremony, in the Best Comedic Performance and Best WTF Moment, both for her hilarious performance in "Baby Mama". If you look really carefully during the below clip you'll see the fancy web digs MTV built for voters to peruse. Or you could vote right now. Go ahead. Do it. Place your vote.

'Spring Breakdown'On Friday night, I hit the midnight premiere of the Amy Poehler-Parker Posey-Rachel Dratch comedy "Spring Breakdown" at my personal favorite Sundance theater, the Library. The line to get in was longer than Robert Downey's rap sheet, and 2 drunk dudes behind me kept joking about how they'd definitely get in because they had hard tickets. "I'll give ya a hard ticket," one said, to much laughter from the other. (Watch an exclusive clip from "Spring Breakdown" here.)

Once I got in, I saw several of the stars from the flick sitting in the middle of the crowd. The films at this year's 25th annual fest starts with a short commercial featuring people's past Sundance memories. Read more...

It seems only fitting that one of our first interviews during our first full day at Sundance would involve Parker Posey, star of countless films that have premiered here at Redford's institution of a film festival. Posey's here to talk about "Spring Breakdown," a high concept comedy co-starring SNL vets Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch (check out the exclusive trailer here). When we got the trio together there was a lot of love in the air. Love for the skiers making their way down the mountain. Love for each other. And most importantly...Jonas brothers love. Well that last one really just came from Amy. Take a look.

In town for their movie "Spring Breakdown", Sundance veteran Parker Posey and Amy Poehler stopped by our Sundance photo booth today. Those are some pretty snazzy glasses! Click here or on the photo to check out the rest of our growing MTV Sundance photo booth!

SundanceSundance is up and running and so is your MTV News movies team! Today marks the first full day of screenings and interviews at the fest and sure enough, it looks to be a jam-packed day for us.

How better to kick off the granddaddy of indie film fests than with an interview with Spike Lee? We'll try not to mention how great Clint was in "Gran Torino." Hmm...on second thought maybe we will.

Later on we'll catch up with the brains behind one of the most talked about comedies here this year, "Mystery Team." Judging by the clips we premiered here these guys could be a big story here this week. Read more...

There's a lot cooking here in Park City, UT, with the Sundance film festival offering up a whole splattering of different movie genres. One of those of course is comedy, and in "Spring Breakdown," "SNL" star Amy Poehler, Parker Posey and Amy Dratch serve it up by heading down for -- what else -- spring break.

We've got an exclusive look at this "Park City Midnight Series" flick, so watch the trailer below and then click here to watch three clips from "Spring Breakdown."
