The Twitter-Wood feed assembled after the jump is the fine work of Mr. Brian Warmoth, but he seems to have disappeared before finishing the evening's intro bump. So you're stuck with me, @geminibros, your friendly neighborhood MTV Movies Blog editor.
I may not have Brian's panache, but I can still fill you in on what's shaking in the Twitter-Wood today. Rob Zombie just wrapped up the audio commentary for the director's cut of "Halloween II," "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton decided on his Halloween costume -- I wholeheartedly approve -- and "Shaun of the Dead" writer/director Edgar Wright saw the Coen brothers' new one, "A Serious Man." I wholeheartedly approve of that as well. Meanwhile, Brian Lynch has the real scoop on the next "Spider-Man" villain and Sarah Silverman shares a downright baffling twitpic. Also, Tyrese Gibson shares his very special moment with Michael Jackson, clinching himself the top spot in Twitter Pic of the Day. This is Rosenberg with your late-breaking edition of Twitter-Wood for October 28, 2009. Read more...
As the search for Falcon Heene, the six-year-old boy feared to have been trapped in a runaway Colorado balloon, continues today, the story has more or less less consumed the Twittersphere. Twitter-Wood hasn't been immune to that effect with Alyssa Milano, Simon Pegg and plenty of others posting about the unresolved scenario.
On the flipside of the Twitterverse, cast members of "New Moon" have been swapping tweets in anticipation of the movie's scene screenings at next week's Rome Film Festival. Check out who's been talking to whom, along with Rainn Wilson's new wolf T-shirt, Tom Felton's metal T-shirt and what's been going on in Diablo Cody's dreams. It's all after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for October 15, 2009. Read more...

The Fall season always means two things -- it's time to wrap up marathon training and start planning Halloween costumes. Edward Norton and Paris Hilton are on top of those tasks, respectively. Norton's planning on running with some Kenyans in New York on November 1st, while Paris is hard a work costume hunting, but you'll have click on down to see where she's shopping.
Also today, Alyssa Milano emphatically denied that she is pregnant, so rumor-mongers back off. Read on to check out what she said, as well as where John Hodgman has been reading about Juggalos, what the weather is like on the "Eclipse" set and what Paul Reubens would have looked like in your high school yearbook. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for September 29, 2009. Read more...

Few directors produce a body of work that syncs with a decade as well as John Hughes' work did with the 1980s. From "Sixteen Candles" to "Ferris Bueller's " and "The Breakfast Club," he gave everyone who ever lived through high school someone to relate to. His power wasn't lost on on filmgoers or today's filmmakers, both of whom inhabit the Twitter-Wood follow list.
Filmmakers including Kevin Smith and Diablo Cody, who both picked up the plight of the high school misanthrope from Hughes, as well as other stars like Rainn Wilson and Eliza Dushku tweeted in with their memories of Hughes' movies this afternoon, and many of them recalled what it was like come to his movies in the middle of the same kinds of real-life melodramas that he tackled. You just can't turn your back on the Twitter-Wood feed. I stepped away for a couple of days to leave things in MTV Movies Blog editor Adam Rosenberg's capable hands, and "Eclipse" director David Slade activated a new account. He hit the ground tweeting, too, commenting about notes he just received from Stephenie Meyer about the next "Twilight" film. (Editor's note: Clearly my hands are not terribly capable.)
Meanwhile, Jon Favreau was partying down this weekend, celebrating an end to principal photography for "Iron Man 2." Both directors, as well as two celebrities attending the Inter Milan/Chelsea match at Pasadena's Rose Bowl, an extremely confident Dane Cook and music suggestions from both Rainn Wilson and David Lynch also showed up over the last 24 hours. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter-Wood report for July 20, 2009. Read more...
Warmoth's still out, and so I'm still sailing this great ship Twitter-Wood. We're planning a minor stylistic change for next week. Nothing big... just a little bonus to draw your attention to the TW feed on the page. You'll see....
Today's Twitter-Wood feed is popping with some oddities. Rainn Wilson has some issues with the planet name "Uranus" (don't we all?); he suggests a great alternative, named for a 70s art-rock outfit. Michael Ian Black also shares some fatherly advice with his son and Tom Felton announces his plans to do a live musical performance after he's finished with work on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." All that plus some gamer-centric stuff from Bryan Lee O'Malley and Ryan Seacrest in today's Twitter-Wood, July 17, 2009. And yes, Warmoth is totally better at this than I am. Read more...
Farrah Fawcett still has scores of fans both inside and outside of Hollywood, and stars from Emma Roberts to Paris Hilton tweeted condolences today in the Twitter-Wood feed. There were also plenty of Shaq fans busy reacting to the NBA star's trade to Cleveland today, including Jeremy Piven and Danny Masterson.
Meanwhile, an exhausted Jon Favreau proved that a full day filming "Iron Man 2" wasn't enough to dampen his sense of humor, as he tweeted a completely legit shot from the movie's set. Click onward for all of this and yet another celeb reaction to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" in the Twitter-Wood report for June, 25, 2009. Read more...

The death of Ed McMahon, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and Perez Hilton's scuffle with Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am dominated Twitter's trending topics today, and the Twitter-Wood feed is on the case. Ashton Kutcher, Jon Favreau and plenty of others tweeted condolences to Johnny Carson's former "Tonight Show" announcer, who died today in Los Angeles.
Tweets on the latter two categories have been significantly more mixed in their sentiments, but "Revenge of the Fallen" star Tyrese Gibson maintained his Twitter vigil that's been documenting his recent film-related travels. Meanwhile, Ice-T chimed in with some public advice to Hilton. You can check out all of those tweets, our second celeb camera phone pic of the Mona Lisa, and much more below in the Twitter-Wood report for June 23, 2009. Read more...

You've probably noticed a large number of Twitter users over the last few days putting their profile pictures through green filters in support of protesters in Iran. Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Neil Gaiman, Rainn Wilson, and a handful of others on the Twitter-Wood feed are among those who have been participating in the week's Iran tweetings I mentioned yesterday, with Alyssa Milano still dedicating her tweets to new news out of Tehran.
Iran isn't the only news permeating our follow list's discussion topics, though. PETA lashed out at President Barack Obama for swatting a fly during a CNBC interview this week, and both Hill and Clive Barker tweeted reactions today. You'll find both of them, "Twilight" actor Peter Facinelli, and pictures from Emmy Rossum and Ice-T in today's Twitter-Wood report for June 18, 2009. Read more...
Protests, marches, and link-passing have taken over Twitter following last week's contested election results in Iran, and the Twitter-Wood feed has been no exception. Alyssa Milano has been particularly persistent with her #iranelection-tagged tweets, and directors Errol Morris, James Gunn, and Jon Favreau all logged on to comment on the events in Tehran.
Meanwhile, a few tweets squeaked through with details from the "Iron Man 2" and "Casino Jack" sets, as well as from Wil Wheaton's guest appearance on the TNT series "Leverage." Also, Jonah Hill joins Kat Dennings and Nick Jasenovec in doubting the legitimacy of the controversial Michael Cera Twitter account that I've mentioned before. Click onward for all of these, birthday wishes to actor Michael Showalter, a much more in 140 characters or less in today's Twitter-Wood report! Read more...
