Franco stepped into a stoner persona for "Pineapple Express," and now he's set to explore his even more hippier side as the legendary poet Allen Ginsberg. The actor gave the news exclusively to MTV News, revealing that he'll be tackling the writer for a new movie called, appropriately enough, "Howl," after Ginsberg's famous poem written at the height of the Beat Generation.

“It's by a two time Oscar Award winner named Rob Epstein, he's actually a documentary film director," Franco said of the project. “So I'm gonna play the young Allen Ginsberg, the days before he went bald and gained weight. The early Howl days." Read more...

As one of the lead actors on "The Simpsons," voice actor Hank Azaria has certainly had plenty of success creating commanding vocal performances. His greatest struggles in the new film "Chicago 10" then, weren't so much in creating voices but, as the actor admitted to MTV News, in "re-creating" them.

"I knew my job was to sound as much like Abbie Hoffman and Allen Ginsberg as I could," he said. "With their voices in the actual film, the idea was to get it as close to 100 percent accurate as I could. For me it was mostly audience tapes. I spent a few weeks practicing." Read more...
