Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell started off as unlikely allies in "The Other Guys." But that shaky partnership has blossomed into something beautiful. Hilariously beautiful, but beautiful all the same.

Deadline reports that the two actors are joining forces for "Turkey Bowl," a new comedy about two guys from rival football-obsessed towns who lead their teams in an annual tackle football game for bragging rights. Lots of star-studded cameos are expected. Sounds perfect, if for no other reason than the news gives us an excuse to repost our Ferrell/Wahlberg "Knife Show" video.

Robert Pattinson. "Akira." Two very different worlds quite possibly colliding.

When MTV News recently sat down with RPattz, we brought up the subject of the "Akira" movie, a project that he's currently rumored for alongside a shortlist of other young hot actors like Andrew Garfield. But while he says he "love[s] the movie," he's only seen the reports that you have.

"I mean, I don’t know. I’ve seen the same thing as anybody else has, really," Pattison told MTV. Still, despite no concrete attachment to the project, the actor digs its style. "I mean, I like motorbikes," he said with a laugh.

After the jump check out the rest of today's news, including the new release date for "Monsters University," Sean Hayes being cast in "The Three Stooges" movie, Lindsay Lohan's latest offer, and why Mark Wahlberg may take the "Bait and Switch."

When it comes to having the magic touch, there's no doubt that "Harry Potter" scribe Steve Kloves has it in spades.

As the screenwriter responsible for adapting every single "Harry Potter" film with the exception of "Order of the Phoenix," Kloves is understandably on Warner Bros.' good side—so much so, in fact, that the studio has tasked Kloves with bringing some of his "Harry Potter" magic to "Akira," the Albert Hughes-directed adaptation of the beloved anime and manga property.

Kloves is set to polish the screenplay for "Akira," and his new gig got us thinking… are there other developing franchises that could use the "Harry Potter" touch? Let's take a look after the jump!

He's a member of The Black Eyed Peas, an internationally known recording superstar heard and beloved by millions. All fine and good - but you ain't never heard will.i.am sing like this.

"Root-a-toot-toot! I'm doing 'Wolverine'!" the singer crooned exclusively to MTV News in his first interview about the high-profile "X-Men" prequel. "That's cool! I don't mean to toot my own flute, but toot-a-toot-toot!"

It's all smiles these days for will.i.am with the recent news that he nabbed the part of John Wraith, a teleporting mutant also known as Kestrel, in the eagerly anticipated superhero flick. Not bad for a guy with zero acting experience, especially considering he didn't exactly get off on the right foot with the casting director, he laughed. Bold, sure, but that's just how much of a fan he is of "X-Men." Read more...
