"The Dark Knight" is still three days away from showing the world what MTV staffers lucky enough to see the film early already know, that Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart have created terrifying, complex new versions of the Joker and Two-Face that will surely stand the test of time.
But riddle us this, riddle us that, just what's next for the Big, Bad Bat?
Well, the Riddler, of course, if you believe Gary Oldman. Or Catwoman if you listen to Nester Carbonell. Or...well, we'll just let you check out what Jennifer Vineyard got Christian Bale, Eckhart, David Goyer, and the rest of the cast and crew to cough up about who they think should be the villain in "Batman 3” here.
One thing everyone agrees on, of course, is that whoever they choose will have to be reinvented to go along with Nolan's more realistic tone. Right? Read more...

Last year at the Independent Spirit Awards, Aaron Eckhart spilled the beans on Harvey Dent, telling MTV News that the key to his performance was in finding "the tension...the similarities" between Batman and Two-Face. This year, he told us what he found.
"Well, they're both crime fighters," he said. "They both care about law and order. They both care about Gotham City. Although they come from different backgrounds, they share certain things. Pausing, he added, "[Things that] I cannot tell you about."
Anybody who's ever read a "Batman" comic book knows what some of those things are – admitting them would be a non-spoiler spoiler, akin to saying Harry Potter and Voldemort are both orphans. If you're familiar at all with the source material, chances are you know this already. Read more...

Well, that was quick. Last Thursday we reported that Warner Bros had launched a Harvey Dent campaign site in support of "The Dark Knight," and now yet another notorious figure in Gotham City has also taken to the virtual airwaves.
IBelieveInHarveyDentToo.com offers visitors a defaced version of the Aaron Eckhart-as-Dent photo from the first site, but give it a few seconds and the screen is replaced, pixel by pixel, by the first official image of Heath Ledger as The Joker (see the full pic after the jump). This isn't enough to hold us over until the film's July 18, 2008 release date, but we'll admit it's a good start.
UPDATE: Don't be fooled by the "page not found" message on the Warner Brothers page above. Clicking "Select All" or dragging your mouse across the screen will reveal it's another Joker prank.
Good/bad? Tell us in our comments how you think Christopher Nolan's slightly unveiled version of the maniacal madman stacks up with previous incarnations.

And you were sick of the Presidential campaign already? Looks like Harvey Dent (aka the man who will be Two-Face) is already looking to make an impression with you, fair moviegoer, a solid year before "The Dark Knight" is released in theaters.
I don't recall Billy Dee Williams getting this kind of promotional love back in 1989? But I guess when you're Aaron Eckhart and you're coming off a crackerjack performance in "Thank You For Smoking," it's a little bit different.
And no, this image on the right isn't something I made with my handy dandy computer contraption, it's an actual promo image Warner Brothers has posted on its "Dark Knight" website. Check out goods after the jump, or click here to go straight to the promo site.
