MTV News welcomes Lauren Davis as our official Coca-Cola Movie Awards Insider for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. From now until the big show on Sunday, Lauren will be mixing it up with the hottest celebrities and taking you behind closed doors for one of Hollywood's biggest events.
Last night I went to my very first Hollywood red carpet for the premiere of "The A-Team." We got to the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard at about 5:30, and it was so chaotic! Press and fans were everywhere, and we had to weave through the crowds to get to our spot on the carpet. Once we were situated, we waited for the celebrities to arrive, and at about 7:00 or so a helicopter circled above the theater, and minutes later a tank rolled through with Bradley Cooper and some of the other cast in tow.
When the celebrities were arriving I got a chance to interview Stephanie Pratt, Patrick Wilson, director Joe Carnahan and then the main stars. Read More...

So far during the ongoing “A-Team Week” festivities, we’ve taken a look at the new B.A. Baracus and “Howlin’ Mad” Murdock. But as everyone knows, no group of kind-hearted vigilantes is complete unless they have a villain to fight.
Those of you who remember the original “A-Team” television series might recall that although they fought many different enemies, their greatest adversary was Colonel Decker (played by Lance LeGault), a member of the military police who hunted them for three of their five seasons. Recently, we caught up with director Joe Carnahan, and he implied that while his new movie won’t feature Decker, its storyline sets him up for the sequel. Read More...

Yesterday, “A-Team” week kicked off with our revealing look at the new B.A. Baracus. Now, with the movie crashing into theaters June 11th like B.A.’s van flying through the wall of a badguy’s warehouse headquarters, we take a look at the veteran mercenaries’ off-his-rocker copter captain: Sharlto Copley as “Howling Mad” Murdock.
“Sharlto's such a ridiculously-talented guy in so many ways,” sai Joe Carnahan, director of the new film, told us about the fast-rising actor who rose to notoriety last year with “District 9,” now an Oscar-nominated Best Picture contender. “Sharlto's a producer, he directed his own film, and he was a huge part of 'District 9' in a way that a lot of his stuff was improvisational.” Read More...

You gotta love when actors unwittingly confirm rumors during press junkets. This time it’s Bradley Cooper, who may have accidentally revealed to the guys at IESB.net that he is indeed set to play the handsome con artist “Faceman” in 20th Century Fox’s film adaptation of “The A-Team.” When asked, rather insidiously, if the actor was excited for the role, Cooper responded, “That’s out already?”
Of course, the casting news is not officially out, but Cooper must have been thrown off by the fact that most journalists at the junket for “The Hangover” were trying to get him to admit to signing on to star in “The Green Lantern.” Or, after so many denials, he just wanted to be able to excitedly substantiate something. He even continued talking about the film, enthusiastically stating that Joe Carnahan is going to “make a great movie out of it.” Read More...

I pity the fool who doesn’t think that Common would bring the badass back to B.A. Baracus in Joe Carnahan’s upcoming big-screen adaptation of “The A-Team.” The guy is big and intimidating, a startlingly effective screen presence, and he harnesses the sort of inner teddy bear quality that made Mr. T such a fan favorite for kids all those years ago.
Over the weekend, the “Terminator Salvation” star confirmed to us that the buzz is indeed building, and that he may someday slip behind the driver’s wheel of that famous black-and-red van. “Yeah, I’ve been hearing that, man,” said the actor/rapper. “I’ve been hearing that.” Read More...

One of the hottest young actors in Hollywood right now is Chris Pine, who’ll hit theaters May 8th as the new Captain Kirk in “Star Trek.” But these days, the actor has his eye on another big-screen adaptation of a classic TV show.
“We’ve talked about it,” Pine revealed to MTV recently when we asked whether he had approached his old friend Joe Carnahan about reuniting for the upcoming “A-Team” movie. “I’d love to.”
Carnahan gave Pine his first big break as an action star with the 2006 film “Smokin’ Aces,” and now that the director has been handed the keys to the high-profile film adaptation of the Mr. T show, Pine has been reminding the filmmaker that “A-Team” was one of his favorite TV shows growing up. It's a good time to be Woody Harrelson these days. After a starring turn in this year's Best Picture winner, the veteran actor has no less than nine films in various stages of development.
But perhaps no movie has fans talking more than the one he isn't even officially attached to...yet.
"I haven't heard anything since I talked to you last," Harrelson said when we pestered him again for details on "The A-Team" movie, in which he's rumored to star as Murdock (click here to see our first time around). "It's still one of those question marks." Read More...
