Year OneThis weekend we get to find out exactly what happened in "Year One." Or at least what Hollywood thinks happened. As you know, they tend to fudge the historical facts for a better story and... wait. This a comedy? Not a serious Biblical epic? My bad.

In honor of "Year One," I've decided to dig up five movies that tell just what happened in the years after. If IMDB is to be trusted, "year movies" will be a trend in the next few years. There's Roland Emmerich's latest vision of the apocalypse, "2012," along with "1066" (the Norman Invasion of England), "1777" (A pretty big year for the American colonies) and "1906" (The San Fransisco Earthquake). 'Terminator Salvation'Forget about your Wall-Es and your R2-D2s. As "Terminator Salvation" will prove to audiences this weekend, like so many sci-fi flicks before it, robots are simply not to be trusted. Their cold logic, susceptibility to tampering and tendency to regard human beings as "inferior" are all red flags. Real world concerns like the threat of nuclear annihilation and global warming are important of course, but killer robots will be the end of us all if we're not careful.

As I mentioned above, Skynet's 'Terminator' machines are just one example of the constant robot threat we all face.
