Being the esteemed professional that I am, it is my job as a journalist to separate any personal leanings or fangirl pandering from my writings. Most of the time. Not so much when my subject is George R.R. Martin's brilliant "A Song Of Ice And Fire" series and HBO's wonderful adaptation "Game of Thrones."

That said, it is with great pleasure that I present one of the major highlights from my Comic-Con experience this year: an interview with one of my absolute favorite and most photogenic cast members Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow), wherein he discusses season two plot points, which cast member he'd like to see more of and what the future holds for Lord Snow.

"Of what I know and what I'm allowed to say, it's a tricky one because I don't want to spoil it," Harington said when asked what he can tell us about Jon's arc in season two. "Obviously he has his own story beyond the Wall, some very interesting things happen to him," he teased, charmingly. "He has a better time of it I think in the second season than he did in the first."

When asked to summarize Snow's series-long challenges and motivations, Harington addressed two points with which we readers are all too familiar.

Andy Serkis has become so well known for his ability to master motion-capture technology that he could be picking up his kids from school or doing some grocery shopping decked out in that tight grey, wired unitard contraption and you wouldn't think twice about it. This weekend's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" marks Serkis' sixth role with this kind of technology, but if you're worried the actor's just cruising along Tinseltown with his unparalleled talent, we can assure you he's not.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Serkis said that despite all of his experience with CGI, there are definite differences among all the characters he's played and that each role presents a new challenge.

"You have to kind of treat it in your imagination as a live action shoot. You're not playing a digital character, you don't think, 'Oh well because I've played an ape before it's going to be treading old ground,' you know all these characters have hugely different personalities.”

Before I get to the meat of this story, I would like to point out that if there is anyone who has room to complain about the number of press and promotional events she has had to attend over the course of the last year it is Olivia Wilde. From the outside looking in, the woman has been on or at a seemingly never-ending stream of press junkets, conventions and red carpets for films like "Tron: Legacy," "Cowboys and Aliens," and "The Change-Up."

And because Wilde is so hot right now, her name gets attached to a lot of film projects, i.e. Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's Linda Lovelace biopic, one of two currently in the works. When MTV News caught up with the busy actress at the premiere of "The Change-Up," we asked her if she'll take on the role.

Dominic Cooper might be getting a lot of buzz for his roles as Howard Stark in "Captain America: The First Avenger" and as Henry Sturgess in "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," but with "The Devil's Double" hitting theaters this weekend, there are another two character we should be spending our time talking about: Latif Yahia and Uday Hussein.

MTV News caught up with Cooper at the Sundance Film Festival to talk about the movie in which the "An Education" star plays both the insane son of Sadam Hussein and the man forced to be his body double. Unsurprisingly, it was a bit of an interesting experience for Cooper to shoot.

"[Uday is] so extreme and having that flexibility and deliberation to just go as crazy and berserk as I liked was exhilarating but it was also very technical the way in which we had to film it," Cooper said. "We would film things and the camera had to be in a memory lock and reshoot the scene exactly as we'd done it for me to be able to step in as the other character and reshoot it so more often than not I'd be acting opposite no one."

The original “Logan’s Run,” a sci-fi story about people being killed once they reach the age of thirty, is in the process of being remade under the watchful eyes of Danish writer and director Nicolas Winding Refn. This time around people are getting killed off at the age of twenty-one, and Ryan Gosling stars as the lead.

Wanting to know what the next step is to get Logan up and running, MTV News spoke with Refn at San Diego Comic-Con last week. According to him, the script is still being worked on. “Logan’s unknown run,” he joked.

The director is going to be working on another movie in February, but that doesn’t mean this science fiction tale has been bumped aside. Far from it, in fact -- Refn expects the script to be finished by the end of the year.

Brace yourself for “Star Trek 2: The Wrath of… Somebody.”

Of course there will be a villain in J.J. Abrams and company's sequel to 2009’s “Star Trek,” and producer Damon Lindelof knows who it will be.

“Those decisions have been made and we are not waffling on them,” Lindelof told MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, though he stayed cryptic on the exact who's and what's. But now that Abrams’ “Super 8” duties are done and he can focus on "Trek" -- possibly even directing the sequel himself -- a script is finally coming together, featuring a new Big Bad. Or perhaps... not so new.

Luke Evans has been cast in "The Hobbit" as Bard the Bowman, but don't ask him anything about his experience working with director Peter Jackson -- because, believe it or not, he has never actually met the man. In fact, he did his whole "Hobbit" audition online.

"I auditioned for it like a year ago. It's amazing. Things happen like that sometimes on movies. Projects happen or they get stopped. As you know, 'The Hobbit's' had a lot of hurdles to jump before it started production," Evans explained. "So yeah, I auditioned for it a year ago and never heard a single thing back."

Obviously Evans has since heard back and has landed what might be considered the biggest role of his career thus far, and his cast members on "The Three Musketeers" have gotten him very excited to start shooting in New Zealand next week.
