San Diego Comic-ConComic-Con didn't even wait for Preview Night to set the Twitter-Wood feed on fire today. It's already a trending topic, and San Diego is the place to be for Hollywood faces this week, whether they're in comic book movies, mildly comic-book-related movies, or just movies producers would like to peddle to comic book readers. As you already know, the "New Moon" cast will be there, and at least one of them is Tweeting about it.

Meanwhile, "Eclipse" director David Slade continued his tweet rampage today posting pictures from the filming locations he's been scouting. I've included links to his TwitPic photos, which you can find below, in addition to commentary on the new "Nightmare On Elm Street" remake, whether the franchise's original director will be at Comic-Con, and which actor really wants a role Sam Raimi's "World of Warcraft" movie. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for July 22, 2009. Read More...

Emmy RossumEditor's note: A tech SNAFU left Twitter-Wood unpublished last night, so you all get TWO helpings today.

Emmy Rossum tweeted a pic from her seat at the Blink-182 concert last night in Los Angeles, which seems to have worn out her eardrums judging by her morning-after posts. The show was a popular topic for her and other celebs, like "The Hills" star Lauren Conrad who also managed to get in.

Elsewhere in the Twitter-Wood feed, folks are still talking about the moon landing anniversary. Kevin Nealon pondered the topic with some thoughtful space-travel insight. As for everyone else, the topic of the week is San Diego Comic-Con, starting tomorrow, which Richard Kelly is preparing for and Lloyd Kaufman will be roasted at without James Gunn in attendance. Check out details on all of these developments, as well as production updates on "Eclipse" from David Slade and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" from Tom Felton. It's all below in the Twitter-Wood report for July 21, 2009. Read More...

David SladeYou just can't turn your back on the Twitter-Wood feed. I stepped away for a couple of days to leave things in MTV Movies Blog editor Adam Rosenberg's capable hands, and "Eclipse" director David Slade activated a new account. He hit the ground tweeting, too, commenting about notes he just received from Stephenie Meyer about the next "Twilight" film. (Editor's note: Clearly my hands are not terribly capable.)

Meanwhile, Jon Favreau was partying down this weekend, celebrating an end to principal photography for "Iron Man 2." Both directors, as well as two celebrities attending the Inter Milan/Chelsea match at Pasadena's Rose Bowl, an extremely confident Dane Cook and music suggestions from both Rainn Wilson and David Lynch also showed up over the last 24 hours. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter-Wood report for July 20, 2009. Read More...

Tom FeltonWarmoth's still out, and so I'm still sailing this great ship Twitter-Wood. We're planning a minor stylistic change for next week. Nothing big... just a little bonus to draw your attention to the TW feed on the page. You'll see....

Today's Twitter-Wood feed is popping with some oddities. Rainn Wilson has some issues with the planet name "Uranus" (don't we all?); he suggests a great alternative, named for a 70s art-rock outfit. Michael Ian Black also shares some fatherly advice with his son and Tom Felton announces his plans to do a live musical performance after he's finished with work on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." All that plus some gamer-centric stuff from Bryan Lee O'Malley and Ryan Seacrest in today's Twitter-Wood, July 17, 2009. And yes, Warmoth is totally better at this than I am. Read More...

Russell BrandWarmoth's out, so I'm stepping in to cover today's Twitter-Wood beat. It's pretty daunting, manning this great ship Twitter-Wood. Brian has done a kickass job of turning this feature into a daily destination for a lot of people. And since he's not here, I feel compelled to give props where props are due. It ain't easy mining hundreds of celeb Tweets for worthwhile things to share. I would encourage you all to shout out Brian in future Twitter-Wood comments sections.

Today's feed features a cryptic message from comedian Eddie Izzard and a truth bomb sponsored by none other than Donnie Wahlberg. There also a hilarious one-liner from Russell Brand and comments from Ice T about his time spent yesterday with the video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." All that plus some terrifying links from Wil Wheaton and Ryan Seacrest -- but for totally different reasons -- in today's Twitter-Wood, for July 16, 2009. Read More...

MTV interns weren't the only ones lining up for midnight screenings of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" last night. Plenty of names in the Twitter-Wood feed were up late for the wand-waving as well. Other tweeters, like new account owner John Stamos, have been busily learning the ropes and and getting feedback from friends like Kevin Spacey.

You'll find out exactly what I'm talking about below, as well as the least expected new label of celebrity-branded coffee this year and what part of Draco Malfoy the "Potter" team unsuccessfully tried dying early. Trust me. It all makes sense in the Twitter-Wood report for July 15, 2009. Read More...

Peter FacinelliDiablo Cody made good on her promise to go to Dollywood this week, and the Twitter-Wood feed has the tweet to prove it. So if you've ever contemplated a trip to the only country music celebrity-themed park that I'm aware of in the U.S., check out her list of accomplishments.

Actor Ethan Suplee also tweeted in with some travel tips today, explaining how he tried to defend his nail-clippers from confiscation at the airport. To find out what he had to say, as well as what injury "Twilight" actor Peter Facinelli sustained from his child and Rainn Wilson discovered at the local pool today, click on down to the Twitter-Wood report for July 14, 2009. iron-manOne week after the Fourth of July holiday, Hollywood is back at work and tweeting about it. Jon Favreau gave a status update from the "Iron Man 2" set, where he's getting ready to shoot scenes with Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow now that Mickey Rourke is finished.

"Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," which is filming up in Toronto this summer, got some tweet defense today from creator Bryan Lee O'Malley, who was irked by online frustrations that the cast won't be attending this year's San Diego Comic-Con. The comic book writer and artist shared the simple scheduling conflict that's keeping them Canada. You'll find both of these posts, as well as Jeremy Piven's heartfelt shout-out to Hayden Panettiere and Pen Jillette's own defense of jury duty. It's all below in the Twitter-Wood report for July 13, 2009. Read More...

Jessica SimpsonYou may recall a little over a week ago when the Twitter-Wood feed and Emmy Rossum were left in suspense about the costume theme for Jessica Simpson's birthday party. Well, luckily Ms. Rossum tweeted in to announce what she needs to wear for the Barbie & Ken-themed event today, putting that issue to rest.

Surely you've all been anxiously awaiting Tom Felton's status, as well, since he has now arrived in New York for the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" premiere. He was apparently honored by McDonald's with a stack of nine McNugget meals (twitpic link included). Read all about that and Clive Barker's favorite junk food below in the Twitter-Wood report for July 10; but first, as promised in the headline, here is a picture of Shannon Elizabeth screaming as she falls down Space Mountain. Enjoy! Read More...

Kristen BellWith any luck, Tom Felton's Twitter application of choice will follow him over the border into the United States as he heads to the New York premiere for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." He posted another pic in the Twitter-Wood feed today to announce that he is heading south for his next stop on the premiere circuit.

Newcomer to our feed Kristen Bell vehemently defended her authenticity today, so I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt that this recommendation for "My Sister's Keeper" is for real. Mandy Moore also tweeted in with her reactions to "The King of Kong." She actually split her thoughts over two tweets, so I stitched them together for your reading convenience. Click on down and you'll find these fine critiques along with John Favreau's early morning Mexican cravings and Rainn Wilson's run-in with George Foreman. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for July 9, 2009! Read More...
