We all know a "Karate Kid" remake starring Will Smith's son Jaden is coming. We all know that some people are unsure that this is a good thing. But still, even as the project has been rendered wobbly with controversy, Ralph Macchio refuses to sweep the leg.
“Listen, here’s my take on it," the 80's icon told MTV News on Sunday, making his first-ever public statements addressing the remake of the film that made him famous. "I think Jaden - you know, Will Smith’s kid - the kid’s got chops. He’s young; he’s like eleven...That story will work forever, when well-told. So, it makes sense in that respect." Read More...
Mike Tyson was one of boxing's greatest champions before falling hard on the mat of life. Destitute and entangled in multiple brushes with the law, he suffered a downward spiral of such dramatic proportions that you'd think he was a movie character.
Well, now we'll have it both ways, as the feature-length documentary "Tyson" will tell the story of this former idol (watch an exclusive clip from "Tyson" here). We caught up with the man himself here at Sundance, where he related the "emotional quagmires" that are he's faced and how he views himself after watching the film. Check it out below, and then click here to watch all of our celebrity videos from Sundance.
I think Paris Hilton owes me a big thank you.
I'm sure you read what I wrote yesterday about Paris' Sundance fashion. Well, in case you forgot, let me just remind you really quick (yes, I'm actually going to quote myself): "MTV News has set up shop at the MySpace Cafe by the lifts, and we've seen Paris saunter in and out a couple of times in the past few days. Yesterday, her daytime look was less snow-bunny than I would have expected. In fact, she looked pretty badass, if you disregard her kitty hat and matching mittens."
So, imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and checked out Sundance photos from Saturday to find PARIS IN A LITERAL SNOW BUNNY OUTFIT! It's possible I might be some sort of soothsayer! (Check out the photos after the jump.) Read More...
You may know him as the tormented Charlie "Am I really dead" Pace on "Lost," but now we also know him as the grave digging star of the Slamdance flick "I Sell the Dead." We ALSO know him as one of the many participants of our Sundance MTV Photo Booth series. We've had some wild evenings since we've arrived at Sundance, but nothing will top the night out we spent with former Danity Kane beauty Aubrey O'Day. It so made an indelible mark in our lives that not only did our colleague Adam write about it, but even I jumped into the fray, blogging about Aubrey and her BFF Paris Hilton gave me a birthday kiss when I suddenly found myself part of their nightlife entourage.
Below, check out the video to see just a portion of what a night out with Aubrey O'Day and Paris Hilton is like, and then click here to watch all of our celebrity videos from here at Sundance.
Sunday night at Park City's "Racquet Club" theater saw a different kind of game going down - a twisted, frequently hilarious, wholly original sports-fanatic flick called "Big Fan."
By the end of the screening, the reaction made it clear that much of the audience could apply the film's title to themselves.
In his pre-movie comments, red-hot "The Wrestler" writer Robert Siegel made a request of the audience that undoubtedly set a precedent for a debut director at Sundance: He asked the audience to monitor the Steelers score on their cell phones, and shout out when they won. Read More...

So who's on the docket? Well, the entire cast of "Adventureland" for one, including "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart and "Squid and the Whale" star Jesse Eisenberg. Michael Cera will join us to chat up his new film "Paper Hearts," and Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be dropping by to discuss "500 Days of Summer."
Combined with everyone from Jeff Daniels to Paul Giamatti and many, many others, and you can see that we definitely have our hands full. But of course that means more awesome interviews and news for you to read, so it's all worth it. Check throughout the day as we continue to roll out our exclusive, in-depth coverage of Sundance.
In the eyes of many geeks, "Star Wars" ruined its perfect batting average by going back to the well, as did "Indiana Jones" and several other notable franchises. But now, Dominic Monaghan is promising that "Lord of the Rings" won't leave a similar bad-sequel aftertaste in the mouths of its beloved fans.
And, to ensure it, Monaghan and his fellow Hobbits are making plans to once again return to Middle-earth. Check out the video below, and then click here to read the full article.

Sundance fashion is tricky. If you're lucky enough to have a film here, you're hopping from event to event, day and night. If not, you're still going from place to place, non-stop. So, what on earth do you wear?
Paris Hilton isn't promoting a film this year, but that doesn't stop her from being everywhere cool on Main Street. MTV News has set up shop at the MySpace Cafe by the lifts, and we've seen Paris saunter in and out a couple of times in the past few days. Yesterday, her daytime look was less snow-bunny than I would have expected. In fact, she looked pretty badass, if you disregard her kitty hat and matching mittens. Come night, Paris did a complete transformation. Still edgy, she showed up to 50 Cent's dinner in a leopard print coat with matching shoes. (Check out photo comparisons after the jump.) Read More...

Saturday night is the pinnacle party night at Sundance -- with most of the weekend worriers heading back on Sunday -- and last night didn’t disappoint.
Over at the Axe Fix party, things where in full swing by midnight. Steve Aoki was manning the DJ booth, playing an energetic and lengthy set. At one point he even climbed to the top of the speakers, almost hitting his head on the ceiling, to fire up the crowd. Nikky Hilton was in attendance at the cozy party, where there enough party-goers to fill the space but not too many to feel over packed. It was just the right mix of a great DJ, unpretentious Sundancers, and plenty of drinks to lubricate the evening. Read More...
