One of the great things about the holiday season is the plethora of fantastic holiday movies that come with it. Everybody has their favorites: some go for the classics like "It's a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Story," while others are interested in twists on the genre such as in "Die Hard," and still others are more inclined for modern holiday fare like "Four Christmases" and "Elf."

My "Rosenberg" last name speaks to my Jewish heritage, but that's never stopped "Scrooged" from being one of my favorite holiday movies. I can't remember the first time I saw this one. I might've been in a theater, but it could just as easily have been on cable. Doesn't matter. It's a brilliant send-up of Charles Dickens' classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly pursuers, "A Christmas Carol." And it stars Bill Murray. So it's pretty much perfect. Read More...

My favorite superhero film of all time is called "Condorman." You've probably never heard of it. It's not an Oscar-nominated picture. It's not particularly well-liked. It isn't based on a comic book. It isn't available on DVD, at least not in the United States. Until recently, I hadn't even seen it since elementary school. To most, it's the very definition of movie theater trash.
