Sometimes when you ask, you really do receive. So you're welcome for asking earlier for some new "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" footage, because today we are greeted with the opening scene from the upcoming flick.
In February we tried to guess what the opening scene of "Part 2" would be, and it turns out our speculation was correct. The clip kicks off with Harry standing over Dobby's grave (there it is, for all of your missing it at the end of "Part 1") and ends with the most badass delivery of a line we have ever seen Daniel Radcliffe deliver.
Intrigued yet? Read on!
There are less than three months left until "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" hits theaters, and though we have been inundated with "Potter" over the past month, we still can't get enough of the previews for the final flick.
That's why we're thrilled that Entertainment Weekly posted three awesome new still images from the upcoming movie. It'll be nice to see them in action (new trailer any time soon, please?) but for now we'll gladly settle on these photos.

We asked you yesterday what you thought about the just released trailer for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," and the response was overwhelmingly positive. But what did your friendly neighborhood MTV Movies Blog team think?
From unexpected excitement to continued skepticism, the faithful wordsmiths aboard the good ship Movies Blog had a wide range of reactions to the "Apes" trailer. Check them out past the jump!
Ay dios mío! I'm almost afraid to say it, but I think we've finally found the perfect Will Ferrell movie.
No, I'm not talking about a sequel to "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," though that would come quite close. Instead, it's his Spanish-language comedy "Casa de mi Padre" that could very well steal la tarta de cumpleaños (see what I did there?) when it comes to the all-time great Ferrell comedies, if the film's freshly debuted trailer is any indication.
In "Casa," Ferrell plays Armando Alvarez, a Mexican rancher who falls in love with his younger brother's fiance, leading to death-defying tensions between himself, businessmen and ruthless drug lords — and, dare I say it, it looks like his funniest movie yet. See why I think so after the jump.
The boys are back in town, and they're ready to party. Or, at least the monkey is.
Six new character posters for "The Hangover: Part II" have hit the web, and we're glad that Warner Bros. is finally taking a second look at our favorite people in the flick beyond just the wolf pack. That means Doug, Mr. Chow and, yes, our unnamed little simian, all have their own posters for us to drool over.
Head past the jump to check out our breakdown of the new posters!
Oh, the powers of the Internet.
More than a decade ago, when "The Lord of the Rings" first started production, we had to wait for the extended edition DVD box sets to hit stores before we could catch a glimpse of some of the magic that went into putting Peter Jackson's first epic trilogy together. But now, thanks to Facebook, video blogs, and the continuous need for online audiences to see more more more (and perhaps just a little bit more), we're able to get a glimpse into the world of "The Hobbit" now.
Jackson has uploaded a 10 minute video to his Facebook account that chronicles the recent start of shooting, and let's just say that he definitely knows how to work his audience. A glimpse at Elrond's chambers? Check. Ian McKellan in Bag End? Check. Andy Serkis getting his Gollum make-up put on? Heck yeah.
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are back, and they're better than ever.
A whole slew of new photos from the upcoming fifth installment of the "Fast and the Furious" series -- appropriately titled "Fast Five" -- have hit the web courtesy of Universal, and if you had any doubts that this would be the biggest, loudest and most exciting flick of the bunch, it's time to put those fears into park. Click the photo below to check out our full "Fast Five" gallery!
The boys came back to town in "Fast & Furious," but now they're ready for some serious action. Just look at the size of Diesel's guns, and the size of Walker's... well, gun.
"Scream 4" director Wes Craven is joining us here on MTV Movies Blog all week long as our guest editor, sharing insight into the origins of his latest horror flick and what went into the casting process.
As Jamie Kennedy's dearly departed Randy Meeks was so fond of reminding us, there are certain rules you need to follow in order to survive a scary movie. Likewise, the rules of scary movies have become an integral plot point to the "Scream" films. But one thing we're not entirely clear on is this: what are the rules of a scary movie trailer?
"It's tricky," Wes admitted when asked about what goes into making an effective scary movie trailer, adding that it's difficult to keep the viewer intrigued without spoiling too many surprises.
"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" is headed towards us on July 1, and Michael Bay doesn't want you to forget what you have to look forward to.
Three new photos (two from Spoiler TV, one from Collider) have surfaced from the upcoming movie, and they highlight the big, blockbuster action spectacle that the latest "Transformers" flick is sure to be. The one important thing they are sorely missing, though, are some big, transforming machines, but there's plenty of other hidden nuggets of fun inside the stills.
(Hint: we might have spoken too soon about there not being any transformers. See what we mean after the jump!)
We knew it would all end at Hogwarts. We knew nowhere was safe. And now we are reminded that all of "Harry Potter" is coming to an end on July 15, 2011.
The first poster has been released for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," and gone are the rugged niceties of "Part 1's" character posters. No, this new poster breaks it down to the basics, and brings the series back to where it all began. Because in the end, despite all the twists and turns J.K. Rowling's saga has taken over the years, the series is going to end one way and one way alone: with Harry Potter facing off against Voldemort.
