Nothing says the holiday season like a bloody technological marvel of a flick like "Beowulf." Ever since the project was announced I have been psyched. Yes, I'll admit that director Robert Zemeckis did freak me out a bit with those dead-eyed motion capture characters in "The Polar Express."

But this is a full-throttle action tale. And nobody -- but nobody -- can push the envelope like Zemeckis. Throw in Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins (the long-awaited "Alexander" reunion!) plus Ray Winstone, John Malkovich , and Crispin Glover, and the deal is done. Take my money. I'm there.

As if you needed more proof of how cool this one is going to be, check out an awesome new photo exclusive to MTV News right here. It's Beowulf himself, bloody and battle-ready.Ray Winstone as Beowulf

Indiana Jones 4 Press KitIt takes so little to make me happy really. Write the words "Indiana Jones Returns!" for instance on a press kit that reveals absolutely nothing new and I'm still as giddy as Mola Ram after he's pulled a heart out of a Thuggee follower.

This morning we did in fact receive a new press kit hyping the return of Indiana Jones next summer. Nope, there's no title that's been revealed. No new photos of Shia or Cate Blanchett in character. Really, not much of anything besides some a spiffy illustration of Dr. Jones on horseback, the aforementioned "Indiana Jones Returns!" announcement on the backcover, and a few puzzles and trivia questions. What do you want anyway? The movie is still eight months away!

Check out the Indy press kit cover and back after the jump. Hold on to your potatoes! Read More...

Everyone has their vice, and mine involves an endless love of dragon movies. "Reign of Fire," "Dragonheart," "Dragonslayer," "Puff the Magic Dragon," I'll take 'em in spades. I'm such a fan that I'll even watch films like "Python," "Python II" and "Boa vs. Python," just because giant snakes kinda look like dragons.

So color me thrilled when I saw the trailer for "Dragon Wars," which bows September 14, stars the kid from "Roswell," and carries the distinction of being Korea's most expensive production ever. Not only are there dragons fighting helicopters, but also some sort of battle hippos. I have no idea what's going on, but count me in.

To help get you pumped, we've been given exclusive images of the beasts in action as well as official descriptions for each type of creature. Check out the fun below, and don't forget to click on each photo for the full image.

From the colorful mind of director Julie Taymor ("Frida") comes "Across the Universe," a whimsical romantic musical told through Beatles songs. We've got your first look at the film with two clips, each featuring lead characters Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess singing a track from the Fab Four ("It Won't Be Long" and "I've Just Seen A Face" respectively). It's good stuff, so click here or on the below exclusive photo to check them out.

By now, you know the drill. To see what it's like to be a Hollywood star at Comic-Con, we asked celebs to snap photos for us and send them in with captions. We've already presented "Shoot 'Em Up" director Michael Davis and "Stargate" actress Amanda Tapping.

We're now happy to present "Iron Man" Jon Favreau's exclusive photo diary. In it, you'll see Jon hanging with such familiar faces as Robert Downey Jr., Liv Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow, and JJ Abrams. It's good stuff, so click here to check it out.

If you're going to put on an art exhibition celebrating cult films in notoriously "hip" Los Angeles, and you're going to do it at your gallery right next to Golden Apple Comics, which is like Nerd Nirvana, and you're going to invite celebrated cult directors like Kevin Smith, Edgar Wright, and Richard Kelly, well, you better know your stuff. You better be prepared to out geek any geek that wants to steal your thunder. You better be Jensen Karp.

"I'm the biggest nerd in the world," Karp, the co-owner and curator of Gallery 1988, told me during opening night of an art exhibition celebrating cult films. "You want proof? When we originally opened our name was going to be 'Anthony Michael Hallway.'" (Full article and photos of fantastic art after the jump!) Read More...

'Jack Sparrow' At Comic-ConYou see a lot of odd things walking around Comic-Con and luckily our friends at the GameDrop blog are snapping away pictures like crazy to capture all the madness forever. Judging by what they caught on the Con floor, if you're planning on donning an eyepatch this Halloween you are not going to be alone. Case in point: a veritable army of convention-goers dressed as "Pirates" frontman Jack Sparrow. Luckily our Casper the friendly ghost outfit never goes out of style.
