Skyfall

By Colin Greten

The highly anticipated 23rd installment of the James Bond franchise, "Skyfall," does not premiere until November 9th; however, dedicated Bond fans have been rewarded with a new chart from The Economist providing statistics on who is the most Bond of the six actors who have played the iconic role.

What are Bond's three favorite things? Bond is driven by sexy women, alcohol and killing as many helpless henchmen as possible. The handy chart gives the average kills, martinis, and conquest per film for each Bond actor.

When looking at the chart it would appear that Pierce Brosnan would be the most violent of all the Bonds, with a lot more kills than any of the others. Daniel Craig (currently Bond) has averaged an incredible amount of martinis in his two films, perhaps a result of the slightly darker nature of the newest films.

Machete is officially set to kill in 2013. The former Mexican federale will return next year in "Machete Kills," Robert Rodriguez's follow-up to the original, which was based on a fake trailer he made for "Grindhouse."

Open Road Films just picked up the North American distribution rights to the sequel, and the first image from the movie hit the web shortly after the announcement to celebrate.

Hobbit

A few new stills from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" have debuted online proving that Elijah Wood has not aged in the decade since "The Lord of the Rings." Seriously.

The photos come from the Brazilian site Cinemarcado (via Comic Book Movie) and don't show us anything terribly new aside from the eternally youthful Wood.

They are, however, worth checking out, which you can do after the jump!

Evil Dead

To coincide with the debut of the first "Evil Dead" footage at New York Comic Con, the first image from the upcoming remake has hit the web.

Let's be honest: it looks great. Fans who saw the new footage at NYCC said that it was over-the-top gory and scary, and we get a taste of that in this image, which comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Here we see leading lady Jane Levy looking a bit different than she usually does. Maybe she won't survive as long as we had anticipated when we learned that Levy would be playing the movie's main character.

Jurassic Park 4

The "Jurassic Park" series has always been a cash cow, and for that reason, it seems like there has always been an ongoing attempt to bring it back to the screen for a fourth iteration. Scripts for a new entry have come and gone without ever seeing the light of day outside some production meetings, but one got further along than we ever knew.

In 2005, "The Departed" writer William Monahan and John Sayles collaborated on a script for "Jurassic Park 4" that involved DNA experiments gone awry. These tests resulted in monstrous human-dino hybrids that—well, what else?—break free and cause chaos. But these hybrids didn't get the intellect of the dinosaurs. They were intelligent enough to fire guns and problem-solve.

The idea didn't make it too far, but it did generate some concept art from ILM designer Carlos Huante. The mock-ups are perhaps the most interesting aspect of this story and show what could have been.

Check out some of the concept art (via Reddit) after the jump!

Die Hard

Here's a fun fact: there's a new "Die Hard" movie coming out four months from now. Who would have guessed, right?

"A Good Day to Die Hard" hasn't exactly had quite the lead-up we would expect from the latest entry in the series, but then again, it's not 1990 anymore. We'll have to give Detective John McClane the benefit of the doubt here.

A new photo from the fifth film in the series popped up today over at Entertainment Weekly, and it shows McClane and son (Jai Courtney) getting ready for a fire fight.
