Wouldn't it be weird if you woke up in a funeral parlor, watching on as the mortician prepares your corpse for burial? What would be stranger still is if that mortician then turned and spoke to you, offering to aid in your transition to the afterlife.

That's the basic setup for "After.Life," an upcoming horror/thriller from director Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo, who also co-wrote the script with Paul Vosloo. Christina Ricci stars as the recently deceased, Liam Neeson plays the mortician and Justin Long is the boyfriend who thinks that something fishy is going on. He's probably right too.

FROM MTV.COM: I know I'm not alone in raising an eyebrow when an alleged list of contenders for the lead role in "The First Avenger: Captain America" hit the 'Net. Jim from "The Office"? That guy from "Gossip Girl"?

Really?

Still, remembering how down I was on Heath Ledger pre-"Dark Knight," I'm not going to pre-judge the rumored contenders. I've learned my lesson. When it comes to picturing how each actor will look if he dons Captain America's star-spangled suit, that's a job better left to Photoshop... and the Splash Page design crew.

Yesterday brought the really, really ridiculously good news that "Zoolander 2 is in the making, with Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux writing, and Theroux directing. We obviously know roughly squat about the story for the upcoming sequel, but it's safe to at least speculate that some time will have passed between the events of the first and the second movies. Hell, we see as much of Derek's future in the final scenes of "Zoolander."

It's been almost 10 years since the late-September 2001 release of the original, and the world has changed a great deal since then. Being an international superstar, we've no doubt that Derek has managed to keep busy during the intervening years. But how? We've sketched out a few possibilities thanks to the Photoshop wizardry of MTV's exceedingly talented Sohyung Kang. The media blitz for Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" has been hard to miss. Some might call it excessive, but you can't really blame the studio. "Alice" is one of their most fan-supported classic properties, this sequel (yes, it is-- stop that) features the superstar pairing of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp and next Friday's long-awaited release will sport a beautiful 3-D print, supplanting 2009's record-shattering sci-fi epic "Avatar" from those screens.

Now, we've officially entered the last leg of impatiently waiting for "Alice" to hit theaters: the movie premiered in London and the stars walked the red carpet to show their support, including Depp as you can see in the image below. You've heard about "The Tourist," right? A male traveler in Europe -- Johnny Depp's is the most recent name associated with the role -- is drawn into aiding a female Interpol agent (Angelina Jolie) in her pursuit of a French gangster who also happens to be one of her former romantic interests. Twist!

In the Spotted! photo below you can see Jolie relaxing on the set of "The Tourist" with a newspaper. Or is she? This is a highly trained agent after all; maybe she's scoping out a target and it only looks like she's reading the paper. We'll find out whenever this wacky project finally hits theaters.

John Lasseter is very excited about the new “Toy Story 3” toys. As he should be, given that he’s chief creative officer of Pixar and Disney. But it’s more than that. Lasseter is a lifelong toy enthusiast who has exhibited his interest in playthings since the beginnings of Pixar, with short films like “Luxo Jr.” and “Tin Toy.”

The animator-turned-exec was in New York City to unveil the new line of “Toy Story 3” toys and be inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame, an honor he shares with no less than Walt Disney. “Toys have been such a big part of my life,” he told MTV News during the event. “And of course it's my love for toys that was the original idea for ‘Toy Story,’ so it's fun. It’s like we’ve come full circle.” Read More...

New York City's Times Square was home to quite the circus yesterday morning. Whether you know it or not, Adidas just launched a line of "Star Wars" branded sneakers. Yes, my inner geek is howling with joy.

To celebrate the launch of this new line, Adidas staged a promo campaign yesterday in the Big Apple. A cadre of Imperial Stormtroopers led by the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader, marched on the Foot Locker in the heart of Times Square with rapper Snoop Dogg along for the ride. There was no news per se, but there were a wealth of photo opportunities. You can check out a few views of the action by clicking the image below.

The latest round of promotional materials in Disney's ongoing campaign to show us how awesome Tim Burton's take on "Alice in Wonderland" is brings some new character stills, including up-close looks at Bayard the dog, the Bandersnatch and the Caterpillar, as well as a pair of MTV-exclusive new posters featuring the Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit. March 5 can't come soon enough.

We also learned an interesting fact about that not-soundtrack, "Almost Alice," which hits stores on March 2. Danny Elfman is of course providing the movie's score; the pop/punk-filled release is more of an "inspired by" affair. And, as we've learned, that "Almost Alice" title actually comes from a line of dialogue in the movie. The story is a sequel of sorts, set years after Alice's initial voyage down the rabbit hole. When she arrives, all of her old Wonderland friends note that she is different, not the spitfire she once was. The Caterpillar, voiced by none other than "Harry Potter" star Alan Rickman notes that she is "almost Alice."

Neat, huh? To me, that phrasing very much recalls Lewis Carroll's whimsical style of writing. Hit the jump to check out the posters, or click them to browse through MTV's full image gallery. Read More...

It's fair to say that "Tron Legacy" is one of the most highly anticipated releases this year. Not only is it a long-awaited big screen return to a beloved franchise, it's also going to sport the latest in 3-D technology. Between that and the December 17 release date, the comparisons to "Avatar" are easy enough to draw.

One of the big draws for many longtime fans of the original "Tron" is the return of Jeff Bridges, who was just nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for his performance in "Crazy Heart." And finally, we have our first look at Bridges in "Legacy," thanks to this official still from Disney. Click it to check out our full gallery.
