Snow White And Bilbo Baggins Battle For Best Hero At The MTV Movie Awards

There's an epic battle waging right now, and you may have no idea. Earlier this week, MTV News announced that a new category at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, Best Hero, would be decided by your tweets and Instagram photos.

Well, the tweets and pics have been rolling in, and two warriors of social media have risen to the top: Snow White and Bilbo Baggins.

The fantastical combatants have risen far above Iron Man, Batman, Catwoman, and the Hulk, but they're now fighting for that top spot. Snow White currently holds onto a strong lead, but Bilbo is right behind, so keep voting using the hashtags #votesnowwhite and #votebilbo and see who takes it all on April 14 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT.

'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Trailer Will Light Up MTV Movie Awards

Blast the horns, the victors of the 74th annual Hunger Games will be taking the 2013 MTV Movie Awards by storm. That's because the very first trailer for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will debut at the award show on April 14 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT.

As you can see in the sneak preview above, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) are now on their Victory Tour, after the gaming the system in their kill-or-be-killed tournament and emerging as the dual champions.

Taking a look back on the biggest movies of 2012, what stands out is how many great heroes there were on the big screen. With so many superheroes, master thieves with hearts of gold, and warrior princesses, how could the 2013 MTV Movie Awards possibly not honor the Best Heroes of the year?

Seth Rogen, Zoe Saldana And More To Present At Movie Awards

While the fact Rebel Wilson is hosting the 2013 MTV Movie Awards this year is enough to get us tuning in, the list of presenters that was announced today is a wonderful added bonus. Everyone from Zach Efron to the cast of "Star Trek Into Darkness" will be handing out Golden Popcorns, so it's time to start getting excited.

Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto will be representing J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" sequel at the Movie Awards, while "This Is The End's" Seth Rogen and Danny McBride will also be stopping by. The comedy won't stop with that duo, as both Chris Rock and Adam Sandler will appear from "Grown Ups 2." Hopefully at least one of those two pairs will be involved in presenting Will Ferrell the first-ever Comedic Genius Award.
