There are some people out there who really don't agree with Disney's choice of J.J. Abrams to take over the "Star Wars" franchise with "Episode VII," and then there's the cast of "Star Trek."
Even though the cast of Abrams' first sci-fi franchise have been completely supportive of the director's jump to a rival series, Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine were able to joke a little back stage at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, calling Abrams a "traitor."
But will Abrams return for the eventual "Star Trek 3"? Spock thinks that if the director wants to make it, he will.
For the upcoming comedy "Townies," Zac Efron will be making his leap to comedy, and he'll be making it in style. The film is being directed by "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" helmer Nicholas Stoller and co-stars Seth Rogen.
When MTV News' Josh Horowitz caught up with Efron backstage at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, he talked at length about the mood on set, working with Seth, and the high volume of shirtless scenes that await the audience.
"It's a pretty funny scene towards the end of the movie, but my character starts working at Abercrombie & Fitch," he said. "We were just out there having fun, total improv."

In the few weeks that "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" has been filming in Atlanta, the actors have been tight-lipped on what exactly will happen when Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 News Team reassemble this December.
Things weren't any different on Sunday at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards when MTV News' Josh Horowitz got a chance to talk with Brick Tamland aka Steve Carell back stage. The former "Office" star was certainly vague about how things were going, but at the very least, he seemed enthusiastic about what's to come.

Since January 2012, the cast and crew of "Star Trek Into Darkness" have come under serious scrutiny to give up the secrets behind the sci-fi sequel. Who is Benedict Cumberbatch playing? How will this new story play with the alternate timeline aspects of the reboot?
Well, as Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine indicated to MTV News' Josh Horowitz back stage the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, they'll actually be able to discuss the movie soon.
"The good news is we're about two weeks away from being able to actually talk about it," Quinto said.
"It'll be nice not to have to lie anymore," Pine added. Neither actor had seen a finished cut of the film, but both will later this week.

MTV's awards shows have, historically, created so many memorable moments that they could easily fill their own award show of memorable moments. Some moments were scripted and planned: Sasha Baron Cohen's bare bum descending upon Eminem's face at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards: planned. Kanye West rushing the stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs: unplanned.
And speaking of Kanye, 'Yeezy may have inspired Aubrey Plaza, who — wearing a handwritten reference to her upcoming movie, "The To-Do List," on her décolletage — wandered up on stage during Will Ferrell's acceptance speech for the Comedic Genius Award.
Will Ferrell barely broke character, throwing subtle shade by saying "What's happening, are you okay? Aubrey Plaza, everyone! Just like we rehearsed it" and then continuing with his acceptance speech without missing a beat.
Did Kanye West Inspire Aubrey Plaza To Storm The MTV Movie Awards Stage?
The Greek chorus of celebration and complaint that is Twitter quickly lit up with the appropriate echoes of confusion, disbelief, and, of course, references to the great Kanyeing of 2009.
The Avengers handled the 2013 MTV Movie Awards like that were an alien invasion on New York City. In other worlds: they won, big time.
Marvel's ultimate team of heroes were the biggest winners of the night, taking home three awards: Best Fight, Best Villain, and Movie of the Year. Other winners included Jennifer Lawrence and her "Silver Linings Playbook" co-star Bradley Cooper. Each won their respective acting categories and took the Best Kiss Golden Popcorn.
