George RomeroArticle by George Romero

I'm George Romero, and to all you fans out there, and those who aren't my fans but are reading this anyway, I've got a new movie, one I love, coming out today. It's called "Diary of the Dead," and it's a return to my roots, to the days of "Night of the Living Dead" when it was just me and my friends working to put something we cared about on the screen.

It was great to be able to do things my own way again, to have the freedom to come up with ideas on the spur of the moment and not have anyone leaning over my shoulder and telling me all the reasons that I couldn't. Read More...

Zack SnyderWe've been fortunate enough to run a bunch of celebrity columns since we launched this blog; everyone from Judd Apatow and Eli Roth to David Wain and Chris Weitz. Now we're re-adding "Watchmen" chief Zack Snyder to the list (he wrote a column for us last May).

In his new piece exclusively for MTV News, Snyder dishes out on one of his favorite musician, cover artist Richard Cheese, whose songs Snyder utilized for "Dawn of the Dead." Find out how Cheese is helping the filmmaker on the set of his current project, the heavily-anticipated "Watchmen" by clicking here.

Judd ApatowIn case you haven't been able to tell from the omnipresent marketing campaign there's a biopic out now as much in the vein of "Knocked Up" as "Coal Miner's Daughter." The movie of course is "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and it should be no surprise that it sprang in part from the mind behind "Knocked Up," the great Judd Apatow.

Judd's written for us a bunch before and he's back now with a cool little column all about the making of "Walk Hard" and formative concert experiences that shaped him.

Here's Judd on his first concert, "the Doobie Brothers. I was in eighth grade. I could not have loved it more. The Minute by Minute tour hit the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, New York. I had such a good time that I went to see another concert just a few months later. It was the Doobie Brothers returning to the Nassau Coliseum."

Don't forget to check out the rest of Judd Apatow's "Walk Hard" column here.

Tobin Bell as Jigsaw in 'Saw 4'During a career portraying some 75 film and TV characters, actor Tobin Bell has kept extensive journals detailing the on and off-camera minutiae in every one of his characters’ lives. While some might see this as obsessive; to Bell, it's simply the proper way to do his job. Now, with the release of "Saw IV," the star of the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time is revealing his Jigsaw journals for the first time, exclusively to MTV.

TODAY'S ENTRY: This past weekend, "Saw IV" gave the series' die-hard fans some eye-opening details about Jigsaw's origins, which have since fueled further speculation online. Now, Tobin Bell's journals continue to feed the fire by giving us an inside look at his thoughts regarding John Kramer's attire during those early "engineer days." First drafts of the script described Bell's character as wearing khaki pants, a knit golf-type shirt and loafers - to Bell, a too-conservative depiction that reeked "country club." Fearful of the cheese factor, this raised his eyebrow.
