Why You Should Care: Aliens abduct L.A.? Come on... who DOESN'T want to see that? Also-- Donald Faison was Turk on the TV show "Scrubs." Here's your chance to see him bringing on some blockbuster-scale action.

Who's In It: James Gandolfini, Melissa Leo and Kristen Stewart. Directed by Jake Scott.

Why You Should Care: If you're a "Twilight" fan, the words "Kristen Stewart" ought to be enough to sell a movie ticket. And for anyone else, this Sundance darling is actually supposed to be quite good.

Why You Should Care: It's pretty simple, really: YOU GET TO SEE JAMES FRANCO AMPUTATE HIS OWN ARM.

I wasn't at Sundance and so didn't catch the Ryan Gosling/Michelle Williams-starring romantic drama, "Blue Valentine." I've heard from MTV Movies managing editor Josh Horowitz that it's great, tough to watch but well-made film nonetheless.

The story follows the relationship between Gosling and Williams' characters, jumping around in time as it paints a larger picture. I don't know much more than that, but I get the sense that if I did I wouldn't want to spoil it anyway. Get a sense for the film's tone in our exclusive fall preview clip below, highlighting the first meeting between our two main characters.

What's It Called: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"

What It's About: The Prevensie children return to the magical land of Narnia with their cousin for a journey across the ocean. Together with Prince Caspian they sail off aboard The Dawn Treader to find the seven lost lords of Narnia.

Who's In It: Ben Barnes, Skander Keynes, Georgie Henley, Will Poulter and Simon Pegg. Directed by Michael Apted.

Why You Should Care: One reason, really: IT'S MORE NARNIA! If you're a fan of C.S. Lewis' classic literary series and the steps Walden Media has taken to bring that story to the big screen, then there's really no way you can miss this third chapter.

What's It Called: "Burlesque"

What It's About: A young girl from middle America heads to Los Angeles with dreams of hitting it big. She ends up working it in a neo-burlesque club owned by a former dancer.

Who's In It: CHRISTINA AGUILERA. Also, Cher, Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane, Peter Gallagher, Kristen Bell (pictured above) and Stanley Tucci.

Why You Should Care: Two words: "Showgirls 2." No, there's no tie between "Burlesque" and the Paul Verhoeven flick. But, as many who saw the debut trailer for "Burlesque" noted, there are definitely elements that carry between the two. And seriously... that's awesome. Also, there's a great cast to back up Aguilera's amazing voice. And here's the cherry on top: Steve Antin, making his feature debut as a director, is known well for his memorable role as the jocky jerk Troy in "The Goonies." Amazing.

What It's Called: "Little Fockers"

What It's About: The Focker clan is back with more antics! ANTICS! Gay Focker and his wife Pam have hung with the parents, gotten married and started building their life together. There are kids in the picture. And now Pam's dad Jack is worried about who will steer the family correctly once he's gone, so he turns to his lovable male nurse son-in-law. Shenanigans undoubtedly ensure.

Who's In It: Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, Barbra Streisand and Owen Wilson all return. Dustin Hoffman was only recently confirmed to be returning as the elder Focker as well. New to the cast this time are Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, Rob Huebel and Harvey Keitel. "Nick and Norah" director Chris Weitz is at the helm.

Why You Should Care: "Focker" puns really never get old. And maybe it's just me, but Ben Stiller's neurotic ravings have been missed. Plus, as the trailer revealed, Stiller and De Niro will go toe-to-toe in a birthday party brawl. And let's not forget the Hoffman/Streisand power combo. Seeing those two together again will be a hoot.

If you've been to Europe in the past year, you might have seen "Nowhere Boy" already. Those lucky UKers got the movie in theaters in December of last year. Not your typical Beatles biopic, "Nowhere Boy" runs through the childhood of a young John Lennon, future Beatle and one of the greatest songwriters of his time. In the below exclusive clip, part of our ongoing Fall Preview week, Lennon (Aaron Johnson) meets future bandmate Paul McCartney (Thomas Sangster) over some beers and guitar.

"Nowhere Boy" opens in New York on October 8.

What It's Called: "Faster"

What It's About: Two brothers are in on a heist gone wrong: one is killed, the other ends up in jail. Years later, the surviving bro is released back into the world with nothing but vengeance on his mind. Standing in his way are a cop and a hitman.

Who's In It: Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Jennifer Carpenter, Maggie Grace, Moon Bloodgood, Billy Bob Thornton and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Directed by "Notorious" helmer George Tillman Jr.

Why You Should Care: C'mon folks, I don't need to spell this one out. It's Dwayne Johnson -- wrestling's The Rock -- kicking ass and probably not taking names. If you're not a fan of Johnson then you have no soul. No action hero is more lovable.

What's It Called: "Saw 3D"

What It's About: Jigsaw is back! Well... sort of. His legacy remains intact, and someone's out to keep it alive. All while his (admittedly few) survivors gather, looking for support from a self-help guru. Of course, knowing "Saw," nothing will turn out as it first seems.

Who's In It: Tobin Bell , Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, Sean Patrick Flanery, Bobby Dagen and Gina Holden. From the same writer/director team behind "Saw VI": Kevin Greutert helming, Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton writing.

Why You Should Care: This is supposedly the last "Saw" movie ever! Or at least until someone decides to do a Jigsaw origin story, which could be pretty cool. Also, Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington (pictured above) makes a cameo as "Unannounced victim." Sweet.
