This summer, Pixar fans will get to enjoy the continuing story of Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) when "Toy Story 3" finally arrives in theaters. The artistic geniuses at the animation studio have undoubtedly been working for years to bring our favorite characters to life once again, but the voice actors are only now coming in to record their lines for the June release.

Which brings us to this morning's Daily TwitPic. "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich tweeted a photo yesterday of Hanks in a recording session. Hanks then followed him shortly after with a tweet of his own, from his relatively new Twitter account: "A session on Toy Story 3 today. That gem is almost done and comes out in June. Btw: Woody is the tallest of all the toys. By far. Hanx." How awesome is it that he calls himself "Hanx"? Enjoy the pic after the jump. Read More...

January 15 was a landmark day for the Twitter-using community. Slapstick martial artist Jackie Chan joined in on the fun -- as @EyeOfJackieChan -- becoming one of the latest celebrities to make himself more accessible to an adoring public. The "Spy Next Door" star has been pretty active on his new feed over the past week, with 32 updates logged so far.

One of those is this morning's Daily TwitPic. Chan decided to show off the funky socks that he wears, "pressure point socks" as he calls them. They look pretty goofy to me, but I still prefer it to Danny DeVito's whole "troll foot" fascination. Read More...

This is as weird a Daily TwitPic as I've ever seen. You all know who Rainn Wilson is, right? Aside from being a Twitter-Wood staple, he's also the star of hit TV comedy the series "The Office." That's nothing compared to his latest project though. As we learn in today's Daily TwitPic, Wilson has gone and started himself a band.

Forehead is what they're called, a name which should be immediately obvious when you see the picture after the jump. Wilson nabbed himself some fine performers too. I see Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen Page, Michael Dorn -- in costume as "Star Trek" character Worf, on the tambourines -- and a nameless woman down in front wearing headphones. Can anyone identify her? The MTV Newsroom is stumped. Read More...

If ever there were a Daily TwitPic tailor-made for double-talk and wordplay, it's this one. Most of you readers know who Rachelle Lefevre is. At one time a noted "Twilight" actor -- the evil, red-haired vampire, Victoria -- Lefevre's role was re-cast for Bryce Dallas Howard in "Eclipse," the third installment in the series. The move caused an uproar among the franchise's vocal fanbase, sparking a series of public back-and-forth statements between Lefevre and "Twilight" studio Summit Entertainment.

In short, Lefevre is a vampire no more. And she proves it in today's Daily TwitPic. She no longer has a thirst for blood. In fact, she'd rather just get it out of her. Maybe not all of it -- that would have a negative impact on her health, I suspect -- but at least enough to help those in need. Yes, today's TwitPic shows us the lovely and talented young actress smiling widely as she engages in the good Samaritan activity of giving blood. Pic after the jump. Read More...

Larry King has been in the TV game for a long time. He started his career as a journalist on the radio, but he joined the CNN team in 1985 as the host of the nightly interview show "Larry King Live." The fact is, he was reporting the news when television was still a new technology, and he's watched the medium grow both as an outsider and an insider. King knows the business.

He's also a savvy social networker, connecting with his fans via regular -- and often entertainingly odd -- Twitter updates. In a twitpic he posted yesterday, selected as today's Daily TwitPic, the veteran newsman showed where his allegiances lie in the ongoing late-night struggle between Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno and the top-level suits at NBC. And most importantly, he did it in style. Hit the jump to see who gets Larry King's vote for late-night champ. Read More...

Here's my big confession of the day: to my great shame, I've yet to witness the hilarity that is TV's "Modern Family." I've lost count now of the number of people, family and friends alike, who know that I'm an "Arrested Development" nut and use the fact to explain why I should be watching the new series. I'll get there, I really will. Especially now that we know there's more to come.

In today's Daily TwitPic, "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson shares some great news with the world in his typically entertaining style. He's excited -- not that you can tell from the expression he's wearing in the twitpic -- because "Modern Family" just got picked up for a second season. And he got something other than a lousy T-shirt to mark the occasion. Note that I didn't say it's something better... merely something. Read More...

I learned a new fact this morning about Demi Moore: she has something in common with my sister. Both of them are big fans of stuffed monkeys. Moore's Twitter feed yesterday brought a flurry of updates about the plush toys, many of them with pictures. Our favorite, picked for this morning's Daily TwitPic, shows us Moore holding up an old, black & white picture of herself with her very first monkey. Adorable. Or is it?

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else find that monkey to be tremendously creepy? Look at that wide-eyed face, that giant, hungry grin. I feel like that thing is going to burst out of the photo at any moment and consume my soul. It's like the evil monkey from "Family Guy," but real. Cute picture or not, I don't trust that thing. Not one little bit. Read More...

I'm usually pretty good at sleuthing out the meaning behind each morning's Daily TwitPic. Celebrities post some weird images on the Internet, and then they make things worse by micro-blogging some cryptic, 140-character description to go with it. Each day is a new challenge then; figuring out why that picture went up on a particular day and, in some cases, exactly what the crap it means.

I'm struggling this morning with that second one. Nathan Fillion, star of ABC TV series "Castle," is the culprit. He plays a noted mystery novelist who tags along with NYPD detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) as part of his research for an upcoming book. In his twitpic, we can see the ceiling of some heavily ventilated location -- presumably a kitchen or a morgue or somesuch -- and a note pinned up that says something about Czech assassins and Swiss ambassadors. The accompanying tweet reads "Nathan, when you work late hours, how do you focus enough to remember your lines?" The note presumably contains snippets of Fillion's key lines for that particular scene, but there's so little written down, it's hard to say. "Castle" fans... what do you think? Read More...

Ah, the Simpson sisters. No, not Patty and Selma. They're Bouviers anyway. I'm talking about actual people, siblings Jessica and Ashlee. They have so much fun together. Take today's Daily TwitPic. I'm not entirely sure of what Jessica hopes to accomplish, eating her sister Ashlee's hair like that. But they both seem to be having a blast.

Maybe Jessica has worked out a revolutionary new way to style hair? Or perhaps there's a clue in the tweet that went along with this pic: "what the who?!?! Who is in whoville tonight?!" Hmmmm... a seemingly unrelated Dr. Seuss reference. Not much help there, huh. It's entirely possible that some alcohol was involved in the staging of this picture. Perhaps a little subterfuge too; look at how surprised Ashlee is. Whatever the case, enjoy this morning's fun, exceedingly odd Daily TwitPic. Read More...

A few months ago, we started your morning with a Daily TwitPic two-fer, a pair of photos featuring some impressive Pixar-themed tattoo art. The pics surfaced because of a Twitter request made by "Toy Story" director Lee Unkrich.

Today's Daily TwitPic is in the same vein. I'm not sure if Unkrich put out another request for body art photos, but he got one that he then re-tweeted. It's a very clever tattoo, simple and not very showy but incredibly evocative of the popular CG-animated series. I'm not entirely sure that it's an actual tattoo -- it could just as easily be permanent marker -- but points to the creator for the idea, if nothing else. Read More...
