Jessica AlbaIt's been eight years since the last "Spy Kids" movie, and boy, things have changed. For one, the kids aren't really kids anymore -- Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara are 22 and 18 years old, respectively, and are probably just a few years too old to be in Robert Rodriguez's "Spy Kids" Rolodex these days.

But the wheels turn, and the "Spy Kids" franchise is being relaunched this year with original director Rodriguez at the helm. It'll star a newly-expecting Jessica Alba as a retired spy mom who gets thrown back into the biz when an evil Jeremy Piven shows up to do something or other.

Dimension tossed out the first image from the movie (via Bleeding Cool), showing a positively worried Alba holding her daughter, getting ready for spy stuff. And even if the image is just a smidge on the cheesy side, we actually think there's good cause to get excited over Alba's sexy spy mom -- and, as if you needed them, we've got the reasons why past the jump.

The apocalypse approaches. April 21 brings us the Judgment Day foretold for years and years by the "Terminator" franchise -- the day Skynet becomes self-aware and makes a mess of things. Earlier today, I mused on the best ways to survive Judgment Day, if you're into staying alive: networking, wearing sun screen, being a team player... I'm pretty sure I covered most of the basics.

But must judgment be so unfortunate? Is Skynet's looming takeover really such a terrible thing? Who knows -- our robot rulers might be more gracious than our human overlords.

After the jump, check out five reasons why the robot apocalypse might not be the end of the world -- even though it technically will be. Oh well!

Daniel Radcliffe is at a point in his life where, in our opinion, he can do just about anything he wants.

Fortunately, as the "Harry Potter" star already told us when he stopped by to chat about his new musical "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," he's already pushing himself to try as many new and exciting things as he can without falling into any sort of "child star" trap. We definitely recognize and respect that motivation, and we're sure that's a sentiment echoed by many people in Hollywood.

So when DanRad started listing off his dream group of film directors and actors that he would love to work with, we didn't think those hopes actually coming to life was as unrealistic as he seemed to. After the jump, we go through the people Radcliffe said he'd love to work on a project with and then offer our suggestions as to some potential team-ups.

Judgment Day approaches, and we're not talking about the Biblical kind: rather, yesterday was the day that Skynet became self-aware, and April 21, 2011 is the day that it launches its robot onslaught against mankind, according to the updated "Terminator" mythology laid out in the recent "Sarah Connor Chronicles" TV series. Threatened by what it perceives to be humanity infringing upon its God-given right to exist, Skynet goes bonkers, shutting down global systems, initiating nuclear holocaust and stopping production on "Jersey Shore." Is there no end to the machines' madness?

Fortunately, you are not alone. In dubious honor of the date, we've whipped up a list of five ways to survive when the machines come knocking at your door and it's not one of the friendly ones you can teach about crying and friendship. Society may be dead, but you are not. Go long, brave human.

Game of ThronesThe things HBO does for love.

The network confirmed today that "Game of Thrones" will return for a second season, despite the show's good but not great opening numbers. But the ratings were solid enough, and considering the passionate built-in fan base for the show and what non-believers were able to see for themselves in the first episode, one thing is for sure: winter is sticking around for another year.

There are plenty of exciting twists and turns in store in season one, but based on the progression of the novels, "Game of Thrones" should pick up the pace even further once we get to season two, which will be an adaptation of the second book in George R.R. Martin's series, "A Clash of Kings." After the jump, we detail all the great stuff you viewers out there have in store next year -- but be warned, spoilers lurk below!

Ned StarkEpisode Title: "Winter Is Coming"

Written By: David Benioff and D.B. Weiss

Story: Winter finally arrives as "Game of Thrones" premieres on HBO at long last. A mysterious danger looms from the icy wastes north of the fantastical country of Westeros as the king, Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) rides north to Winterfell. There he is seeking out Lord Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) to replace his recently deceased second-in-command as the Hand of the King. But the king is a lecherous drunk, and the commitment might be more than Ned is willing to take for his old friend.

Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is soon to be wed to the barbarian horselord Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) as a part of the plan her brother Viserys (Harry Lloyd) has concocted to steal back the throne of Westeros. It turns out that Daenerys and Viserys might not have to work too hard for the seat of power after all, though, because the queen, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), and her brothers are playing a game of thrones all unto themselves.

TransformersFROM MTV MOVIES: While gearing up for the release of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," director Michael Bay has not been shy about his desire to right the missteps in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen": putting more focus on writing a better story, making the action more accessible, yet "epic" in scale. Based on the footage and trailer MTV News saw on the Paramount lot before a candid chat with Bay on Thursday, it looks like he's making good on his word.

We can't get into specifics, of course, but with regard to the trailer — the 2-D version of which will roll out in theaters on April 28, while a 3-D version will hit in front of "Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides" — it takes the intrigue of the teaser trailer, plus the intensity from the action-packed 30-second Super Bowl spot and adds enough mind-blowing, mesmerizing robotgasm goodness to leave even the most passive of fans slack-jawed. Or googly-eyed. One of the two.

We also saw snippets of returning and new supporting cast members, a possible Pink Floyd tie-in and a tantalizing, yet not at all overwhelming, 3-D sizzle reel.

Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal have reunited once again for the new Will Ferrell comedy, "Casa de Mi Padre." The flick looks hysterical. Will speaking in Spanish and acting like a tough rancher and those two guys showing off their much underused funny bones should lead to many risas (that's laughs in Spanish for you Gringos).

This reteaming makes me happy for a number of reasons. One, it means that I can follow-up on that dinner that Gael owes me when we inevitably meet again. Two, it means that we get to see them in a flick together again. And, three, it means that I perhaps may get the assignment to interview them at the junket.

The last time the three of us sat in a room together, we laughed, chatted about their 2009 joint endeavor, "Rudo Y Cursi" and, oh yeah, we all kissed. It's more or less what it sounds like.
