It's simply an objective fact that San Diego Comic-Con has become more mainstream, and as the studios have all piled on, hoping to push whatever vaguely genre flick they've got in the pipeline, fewer and fewer geeks are making up the attendees.

And MTV News is hear to unmask the poseurs.

It has been the bane of our celebrity guests at Comic-Con, and this year, Geeks Or Poseurs was back with a vengeance to make sure no fake geek went unmasked.

Watch the video above to see your favorite celebrities not know what District Katniss Everdeen is from, what Superman's birth name is, or what the hell a TARDIS is.

Also, it's worth noting that Harrison Ford didn't give a crap about any of this.

A very big part of the San Diego Comic-Con is obviously the enormous amount of cosplay that goes on over the course of four days. It's impossible to walk anywhere near the convention center without seeing one of your favorite character brought to life by some dedicated fan.

MTV came to you live all weekend from San Diego, and when we weren't interviewing the biggest stars, we were out on the floor capturing all of the cosplaying goodness that Comic-Con had to offer.

You can check out our gallery here, and click past the jump to see our favorites.

To put it simply: we're really freaking excited for "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes." Fox got a great director, Matt Reeves, to step in for Rupert Wyatt, and as we see in the first image of Caesar from the sequel, this is a different ape than the one we last saw in "Rise."

Plus, he rides a horse.

When MTV News' Josh Horowitz spoke with Reeves and his stars, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and Andy Serkis, who plays Caesar, at San Diego Comic-Con, a big question was whether the hyper-intelligent chimp would still be a sympathetic character in the eyes of the audience, or whether the power had gone to his head.

Reeves' answer was thorough to say the least. Find out what he said after the jump!

The "Paranorman" trailer might have sold you on the movie based on its awesome stop motion animation and supernatural inspiration, but apparently we haven't seen anything yet. MTV News caught up with stars Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Kodi Smit-McPhee while they were promoting the movie at Comic-Con, and they promised that "ParaNorman" is much more than meets the eye.

"The trailer, it sets up a really great story but there's so much more," Kendrick said. "It's not just like the zombie invasion and how do we stop the zombie invasion? There's so many layers to the story. When I saw the finished thing, I was watching it and I was thinking, 'I forgot about this part of the story!' It's so layered and there's such a great history behind each little piece of mythology, and it kind of all traces back to this place where you don't really expect it to go and it's really beautiful."

Neill Blomkamp

Sure, "Elysium" hasn't hit theaters yet (or even released a trailer), but that doesn't mean it's too early to start asking Neill Blomkamp what he'll do next, right?

The director took to San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend to promote his upcoming sci-fi flick, his second time to the convention for as many movies. Though that project seems to be similar in style and tone to his debut project "District 9," Blomkamp teased to The Playlist that his next project, "Chappie," will be a departure from that style.

"It’s like a fundamentally more simple story, a comedy, a heartfelt story, in a science fiction setting. And it’s f--king hilarious," he teased. "It’s a really cool film. I can say that with confidence… It’s a smaller film, a more esoteric one."
