Thunderball (1965)

Title Meaning: Thunderball is the name given to the operation organized to recapture the stolen atomic bombs.

Plot: After taking "Goldfinger" off, evil international organization SPECTRE returns to hold two stolen atomic bombs for ransom. MI6 assembles all of the 00 agents to help retrieve them, but only James Bond is clever enough to track them to Nassau.

Title Meaning: It is simply the last name of the film's villain, Auric Goldfinger.

Plot: Originally under MI6 investigation for smuggling, Auric Goldfinger, a lover of all things, well, gold, attempts to blow up the U.S.'s reserve at Fort Knox to send the price of the precious metal skyrocketing.

Title Meaning: The phrase James scrawls on the picture of Tatiana Romanova, the supposedly defected Soviet agent who requested Bond specifically.

Plot: Wanting revenge for the death of Dr. No in Jamaica, the evil international organization SPECTRE concocts an elaborate scheme to both murder Bond and steal a code breaking device from the Soviets.

Title Meaning: The villainous, vaguely Asian owner of Crab Key Island and agent of SPECTRE (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion)

Plot: When an MI6 agent goes missing, Double O agent James Bond sets off for Jamaica in order to solve the mystery and foil the nefarious plot of Dr. No, a representative of SPECTRE, the international evil organization bent on throwing off the balance of world power (we think).
