HBO has released 17 new stills ahead of the second season premiere of "Thrones," airing on April 1. In the new batch of photos, you'll get acquainted with newcomers Stannis Baratheon, Melisandre of Asshai, Davos Seaworth and more. You'll also see familiar faces like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and the Imp Tyrion Lannister.

Yeah, they don't stand a chance.

In these exclusive photos from the upcoming action film, we get a look at Statham as Luke Wright, the former elite agent, who takes a special interest in protecting the young girl. Her photographic memory contains a series of numbers that every crooked organization in Manhattan wants to get their hands on.

From the looks of the trailer, "Safe" should fall right in line with everything fans of Statham have come to expect. There's the raspy-voiced seriousness, squinting and lots of punching. Lots and lots of punching.

"Safe" opens in theaters on April 27 and stars Jason Statham, Reggie Lee, James Hong and Chris Sarandon.

In a move three decades in the making, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone finally followed through on the promise of their intersecting action-movie careers and had their bodies surgically fused together for their upcoming 3-D sequel, "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot a Siamese Warrior."

At least that's what we hoped was going on in the above photo. That, or confirmation that while Arnie and Sly's cyborg doppelgangers have been out making movies and governing California for years, the two men have in fact been holed up in side-by-side hospital beds, recounting the glory of a time when a "Batman" movie villain could actually utter the line, "Ice to see you!"

But: no. None of this is true. Instead what we're seeing is two sexagenarians having the time of their lives while getting their creaky bodies fixed up.

"After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting 'The Expendables 2' and 'The Last Stand,' it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder," Schwarzenegger wrote in a post on his WhoSay page. "Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we're ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot 'The Tomb.'"

The surgeons better bring their A games, because these two — despite their arthritic limbs and the fact that they really are far too rich to still be doing their own stunts — don't seem to be backing away from any sort of challenge. Just peep Arnie's forehead at the end of what we assume was a fairly typical day on the "Expendables 2" set. "Got a little banged up on set today," he wrote on Twitter as the proud owner of a fresh scar. "Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!"

Yeah, so as excited as we are about their upcoming collaborations, we're also a little worried about these two gentlemen. When we look at the hospital photo, we're wondering why 64-year-old Schwarzenegger looks oddly like a newborn fetus. We're wondering how long Sly's pain meds have been dripping into his veins, 'cause that dude is looking happier than Newt Gingrich at an all-you-can-eat strip club. We're wondering if Arnold is saying to his buddy, "One, I'm so high right now. And two, we have the best f---king lives ever, bro!"

"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" is shaping up to be one of the can't-miss movie events of 2012. Not only did it kick ass and take (a few) names during the MTV Movie Brawl, it also unleashed one of the greatest Super Bowl commercials of the entire game (which you can watch below), thanks to its star-studded cast led by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Bruce Willis.

On Bringing In The Original Joe
“One of the things that everybody kept asking was, ‘Who is Joe?’ Most of us who didn’t grow up with the comic books or the animated series hear the name and think of a single person, not a group,” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said about bringing Joe Colton to the battle. “People who did grow up with those comics think of it as a plural… I was someone who grew up with the action figures, so when I saw the animated series I was like, ‘What the hell is this?’ That wasn’t the Joe in my imagination."

“We have a couple of advantages: Channing is a bigger star [than he was when the first was released], Bruce is a well-established star and Rock is a well-established star,” said the producer. “That’s a big advantage over the first movie. That positions us in a way that we can say to the audience that we’re trying for a certain kind of film.”

Di Bonaventura explained: "In this world having the sort of physical capacity he has — on top of the ability to deliver the humor — that’s a great combination for the franchise. It’s great because [the series has] found the right tone and I think that’s so much about what the challenge of a franchise is now — finding the right tone. One of the things we talked a great deal about is that when someone gets punched, you feel the punch. It was one of the guiding principles of it. We really wanted you to feel the muscularity of the franchise."

We're told that paparazzi photos from the set of "Lovelace" show the recently-cast Sarah Jessica Parker in the role of women's lib leader Gloria Steinem. The pictures are surprising considering the woman in the photo looks nothing like Sarah Jessica Parker.

The photo from the set shows a 70s-ified Parker, large hair and all. The blonde hair looks oddly like a wig, and the actress' eyes look pulled back. It would have taken a moment to peg the person in the picture as Parker, if it had not been advertised as such.

Parker replaced Demi Moore in the Linda Lovelace biopic shortly after the actress dropped out of the film due to personal issues related to a medical emergency.

The real-life Steinem wrote an article for Ms. Magazine in 1980 titled "The Real Linda Lovelace" that examined the life of the famous porn star.

Finally, an official image of Daniel Craig as James Bond in “Skyfall” – with a gun, no less!

Following the early "Skyfall" leak of Bond sitting by a swimming pool, this new (and official) shot features Agent 007 wielding a firearm and presumably avoiding detection of his enemies. If this photo doesn't get you excited for the film… well, we're looking at different photos!

Since production began on “Skyfall,” there haven't been many substantial updates on the film. Of course there has been casting news of villains as well as vague plot details, but little else in recent weeks. In other words, this photo represents a product of a long process. “Skyfall” has been stuck in development hell for many years, and now, acclaimed director Sam Mendes (“Jarhead” and “Road to Perdition") is finally getting his chance to prove his weight in super-spy gold behind the camera.

True, many fans and critics did not favor “Quantum of Solace” as a worthy addition to the James Bond universe. But if any director can revive the true essence of what a James Bond movie is, it’s Mendes.

"Skyfall" marks the third time Daniel Craig has taken on the iconic role of agent 007. The first time was in the 2006 adaptation of “Casino Royale,” and in 2008 Craig returned for “Quantum of Solace." After a hiatus from the role and a slew of other film projects, Craig is once again back in action as Bond. It’s been a long wait, but we're sure it'll be well worth it once this action blockbuster hits screens in November 2012.

A brand new image from "The Hobbit" features Bilbo Baggins being surrounded by some very unexpected guests. The still looks to come from Bilbo's first introduction to his 13 dwarf companions at Bag End, and he isn't too pleased about it judging by the look on his face.

The one character noticeably absent from this photo is Gandalf, who led the introductions between the hobbit and the dwarves. Then again, the image is also missing nine of the other dwarves, so it seems like we'll have to let it slide this time. Standing around Bilbo (Martin Freeman) from left to right are Bifur (William Kircher), Dwalin (Graham McTavish), Bofur (James Nesbit) and Oin (John Callen).

The still comes courtesy of Yahoo! Movies and was included in a new interview with Evangeline Lilly about her role in "The Hobbit." Unsurprisingly, it was a bit harder for her to play Tauriel the elf than Kate the human on "Lost."

"I can't just be spontaneous, because there is nothing natural about being an elf," Lilly said. "It's not human, so I have to study to learn what it means to be this other creature."

That required a lot of additional training. Lilly had to relearn everything from fighting to walking and talking in order to give a convincing performance as Tauriel.

"On top of my stunt training -- which I need to learn how to be proficient with the bow and arrow, and with daggers, and in fighting orcs that are, you know, ten feet tall -- I also have to learn the language of Elvish, and I have to learn an RP [Received Pronunciation] neutral English accent for when I speak English," she said, adding that she spent "four times as much time preparing as I do actually shooting."

This interview comes hot off the heels of a chat Lilly had with Entertainment Weekly about "The Hobbit" last week. In it, she said Tauriel would have a lot more screen time in "There and Back Again" than she does in "An Unexpected Journey."

With every new awesome image revealed of Johnny Depp in "Dark Shadows," we feel more and more guilty about reacting negatively in our first look at his make-up in the upcoming Tim Burton film. A new shot of Depp as vampire Barnabas Collins shows him looking a bit more kid-friendly than we came to think of the character in the cult TV series, but we're still digging the look.

Up until now, the images we've seen from the film have seemed to imply that Burton was taking a darker route, but could it be that "Dark Shadows" will have kid-friendly components as well? We'll just have to wait for the first trailer to get a better sense of what the movie has in store.

When MTV News caught up with Chloe Moretz at the People's Choice Awards, she argued that "Dark Shadows" would play to both younger and older crowds because of the way it brings together Burton-lovers and fans of the old TV show.

"I think also it's open to the older group that actually saw the TV show back in the 1970s," she said. "And also the new group that love Tim Burton, and they love supernatural movies and TV shows."

Moretz added, "I think it's a really revolutionary movie."

"Dark Shadows" stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Moretz and Gulliver McGrath. It's due in theaters on May 11.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... Vin Diesel on the set of "Riddick"?

While we're just happy to see that the movie is busy filming, we're a bit confused by Diesel's superhero style get-up. Is this the vengeance-seeking gear in Riddick's part of the universe? We can't wait to find out.

The image comes courtesy of Diesel's Facebook page, where he thanked his fans for giving him the chance to make a new "Riddick" movie. "Grateful for the opportunity to make magic," he wrote.

There has been a lot of activity recently prepping the upcoming film. "Battlestar Galactica" actress Katee Sackhoff joined the production as the female lead, Dahl, a Nordic mercenary tasked with hunting down Riddick. In addition, Jordi Molla is playing the movie's villain, a man named Santana bent on killing Riddick. Karl Urban will reprise his role as Lord Vaako.

David Twohy returns to direct his third Riddick film. He helmed the previous two entries, "Pitch Black" and "The Chronicles of Riddick." The movie does not have a set release date yet.

Here's the official synopsis for the movie: "Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction."
