The script for a spin-off movie for the "Friday Night Lights" TV series is close to being finished, but director Peter Berg said that his cast might be too busy with their other gigs to commit to it right now. In other parts of the web, Jaden Smith posted a new image from the Costa Rica set of "After Earth," Andrew Stanton is already working on a "John Carter" sequel and director Brian Taylor has been tapped to helm a "Twisted Metal" feature adaptation.

It's February 15, and you're checking in for today's daily news round up.

Peter Berg Promises "Friday Night Lights" Movie Still On Its Way
Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. At least that seems to be the mentality director Peter Berg and showrunner Jason Katims are having when it comes to creating a "Friday Night Lights" movie. Berg told MTV News that Katims is close to finishing the script for a second "Friday Night Lights" movie that parallels the real-life story of Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach. The problem with bringing the movie together, though, is that the majority of "Friday Night Lights'" stars have moved on to bigger things and now have pretty busy schedules.

Jaden Smith Shows Off "After Earth" Costume
Ah, the wonders of social networking. Jaden Smith took to his Who Say account to post a new image from his upcoming M. Night Shyamalan-directed sci-fi film "After Earth." In it, he can be seen wearing a futuristic one-piece outfit that seems to be an armor of some sort, and potentially wearing a weapon on his back. Despite our Shyamalan skepticism (sorry, "The Last Airbender"), this actually looks pretty cool.

Director Andrew Stanton Already Outlining "John Carter" Sequel
Ain't It Cool News conducted a lengthy interview with "John Carter" director Andrew Stanton in which he touched upon many elements of the upcoming movie "John Carter" and its prospective sequel. The interview is too long to summarize in this one blip, so I encourage you to read its entirety there. But one of the major points Stanton talked about was that he is already hard at work planning a "John Carter" sequel even though he's waiting to see how successful the first film is before he gets the go-ahead from Disney. Like most franchises in Hollywood nowadays, the "John Carter" films were conceptualized as a trilogy.

"Ghost Rider" Co-Director To Helm "Twisted Metal" Adaptation
Hot off this Friday's release of "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance," co-director Brian Taylor has been tapped to direct the upcoming adaptation of video game "Twisted Metal." Deadline has the news about Taylor's first solo directing effort. Taylor will both write and direct the film.

"Game Of Thrones" Production Trailer Released
Hungry for more "Game of Thrones"? Well you're in luck, because HBO just released a new production trailer about the show filming in Iceland. If you've missed Jon Snow, Samwell Tarly and Commander Mormont as much as I have, then you should be thrilled.

Did you know "This Means War" could have had two different endings? Turns out McG toyed with the idea at one point. In other film news, Warner Bros. opens a new theater in Washington DC, Bret McKenzie laments not being able to perform at the Oscars and five new "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" images hit the web.

It's February 7, and you're tuning in to today's daily news round-up!

McG Considered Alternate "This Means War" Endings
Should Reese Witherspoon choose Tom Hardy or Chris Pine at the end of "This Means War"? Turns out there was once a potential reality where she wouldn't have had to make that decision. Movieline reports that, during a press day for the flick, director McG admitted that he almost released two different endings with Witherspoon choosing a different guy. We'd opt for option three, where the two men end up with one another. In other "War" news, the film has undergone yet another release date shift: instead of opening on Valentine's Day, it'll now only host previews on the holiday and will open wide on February 17.

Warner Bros. Opens New Theater In Washington, DC
DC residents, you're in luck! Warner Bros has opened a new theater at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in our nation's capitol, appropriately titled the Warner Bros. Theater. The cinema had its grand opening on Feb. 1, which included a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication to Clint Eastwood for his contributions to American Cinema. There are several costumes on display there now that were worn by Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman and Eastwood, along with Harry Potter's robe.

Bret McKenzie To Smuggle A Muppet Into The Oscars
The Oscars are skipping the Best Song portion of the ceremony this year, which is a major bummer. With Bret McKenzie and "Man or Muppet" up for the award, that could have been an awesome show. "It's a shame," he told Badass Digest. "It would have been really fun to get a man and a Muppet up on that stage." Apparently McKenzie still plans to bring a Muppet to the show with him. You know, just in case.

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" Photos Look Awesome
Been craving more "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"? Well, you're in luck. Five new images have hit the web full of axe-swinging, vampire-stalking awesomeness. Entertainment Weekly premiered the photos and chatted with leading man Benjamin Walker, who promised that the movie will be everything you would expect from a film called "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." "The joke is in the title, and then we fully commit to it," he said.

Johnny Depp's Company Options West Memphis Three Memoir
The West Memphis Three murders is one of the hottest historical events floating around Hollywood right now. Johnny Depp is the latest talent to become involved in the story, as his production company Infinitum Nihil have optioned the memoir of convict Damien Echols. Deadline has learned that Depp has been interested in giving Echols' story the big screen treatment for a while now, though there is no comment on whether Depp would appear in the movie as well.

Charlize Theron and Sam Claflin are the two latest actors in "Snow White and the Huntsman" to have images released of their characters. Meanwhile, photos of Daniel Craig are released from the "Skyfall" set, a teaser for the "Battleship" Super Bowl ad is unveiled and "Riddick" gets a screenshot, an updated synopsis and much more.

It's February 3, and you're stopping by for today's daily news round-up.

"Snow White And The Huntsman" Photos Revealed
Snow White might be the fairest of them all, but it's Charlize Theron's Evil Queen that's been getting all the screen time in the promotion for the movie. Such is the case with the latest still from "Snow White and the Huntsman," courtesy of the flick's Universal Pictures Facebook page. A second image shows Snow White's Prince Charming, Sam Claflin, ready to take on evil to save the most beautiful in all the land.

Daniel Craig Reprises Bond On The "Skyfall" Set
ComingSoon.net has compiled a gallery of the many "Skyfall" set pics floating around the web. Let's just say we're glad to see Daniel Craig back in his 007 suit. And as long as you have the "Bond" theme playing in the background while viewing these images, you're doing it right.

"Battleship" Teaser For Super Bowl Teaser Revealed
Movie studios, seriously, you're spoiling us. Why wait patiently for a teaser trailer when we know you're just going to give us a teaser for the teaser trailer several days earlier. Click below to watch the teaser for the "Battleship" commercial spot that will air Sunday night, courtesy of Fandango.

New Scribe For "Short Circuit" Reboot Hired
Dimension Films has announced that they've hired Disney alum Matt Lieberman to pen the screenplay to their upcoming "Short Circuit" remake. "Robot Chicken" writer Dan Milano originally was hired to write the script. "Hop's" Tim Hill is directing the film.

"Riddick" Gets A New Screenshot, Updated Synopsis, And Filming Has Begun
Hooray! Today Universal Pictures announced that principal photography has officially begun on "Riddick." In addition, the studio announced an updated synopsis and full cast list that you can read over at Collider. That explains all those set photos Vin Diesel has been posted to his Facebook, especially that new one today.

Frank Grillo Opens Up About "Death Wish"
Frank Grillo is a pretty lucky man, considering his "The Grey" director Joe Carnahan is writing a role specifically for him in "Death Wish." On the Matthew Aaron Show, via /Film, Grillo explained, "He is imagining it as a two hander, it’s not just Bronson’s [character], it’s two brothers." When asked about the rumor that Liam Neeson would be in the movie, he answered that it was a great idea. It's not confirmation yet, but we certainly hope that ends up being the case.

"John Carter" gets a brand new featurette filled to the brim with plenty of new footage for fans to pore over. Meanwhile, Marty McFly could dance his way to Broadway, Jean Dujardin got in some trouble for racy French ads and "Avatar 2" might be filming down under.

It's February 2, and you're here for today's daily news round-up.

New "John Carter" Featurette
A new featurette has premiered for "John Carter." The video is loaded with plenty of new footage, including some rare chances to hear the characters speak (the previous trailers have placed the emphasis on special effects). It's nice to see Taylor Kitsch get brought down a notch by the badass princess being played by Lynn Collins!

Could "Back To The Future" Get A Broadway Show?
It will if Robert Zemeckis has anything to say about it. Deadline is reporting that he is in talks with co-writer Bob Gale and original composer Alan Silvestri to see if they can find a way to transfer the beloved tale to the Broadway stage. We are obsessing over the idea of being able to see Marty McFly close out the show with a live performance of "Johnny B. Goode."

France Says Jean Dujardin Is Inappropriate In New Ads
Apparently the ad campaign for the Jean Dujardin-starring French flick "The Players" is a bit too raunchy. The Hollywood Reporter details the situation and explains how the ARPP, France's authority for the professional regulation of advertising, has decided that the posters for the flick violate their rules.
Matt Damon And John Krasinski's Movie Finally Has A Title
The movie that was supposed to be Matt Damon's directorial debut (Gus Van Sant is helming it instead) has finally got a title! According to a Deadline story, the flick is now called "Promised Land." And it's officially an indie, as Focus Features and Participant Media just purchased it.

"Avatar" Sequels To Film In New Zealand?
James Cameron and Peter Jackson are soon going to be neighbors. The "Avatar" director just purchased about 2,470 acres of farmland near the New Zealand capital of Wellington, according to Reuters. Although it is reported that he and his family will be moving to New Zealand to "reside indefinitely," this news fuels rumors that he will be shooting his upcoming "Avatar" sequels in that country.

Only two days after Tim Burton announced that he would like Robert Downey Jr. to be the puppeteer Geppetto in his upcoming live-action "Pinocchio" film, the "Iron Man" and "The Avengers" star has confirmed that he would be interested in the role. In other parts of the internet, Television Without Pity's annual "Movies Without Pity" awards show is starting up, Rob Marshall has started talking "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" and Daniel Radcliffe's promo reel for this week's "Saturday Night Live" has us cracking up.

It's January 11, and you're here for today's daily news round-up.

Robert Downey Jr. Game For "Pinocchio"?
It was pretty big news earlier this week when Tim Burton said he was considering directing a live-action version of "Pinocchio" and that he would want Robert Downey Jr. for the role of Geppetto, so it's no surprise that Downey Jr. heard about it. Omelete caught up with the "Iron Man" actor at the Brazilian premiere of "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," where he said he was definitely intrigued by the role. "I want to talk to him about it, yeah!" Downey Jr. said. "C'mon, it's Tim Burton."

Second Annual "Movies Without Pity Awards" Gear Up
Based on the way you've all been busy voting in the MTV Movie Brawl 2012, we figure you all appreciate a good fan-voted awards show. Television Without Pity is starting their second annual "Movies Without Pity Awards" this week, and voting will run through February 12. With categories like "Best Cast In the Worst Movie" and "Least Convincing Screen Couple," how can we resist tossing our vote into the pot?

Rob Marshall To Tackle "Into The Woods"
Rob Marshall's latest cinematic outing, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," might have been a big-budget action movie, but the director made a name for himself helming big screen musical adaptations. His next project is going to be an adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's classic "Into the Woods," which will follow in the footsteps of previous Marshall Broadway adaptations "Chicago" and "Nine." The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Lapine is already working on writing a script for this new film, which Marshall expects to have new songs from Sondheim.

...He's Also Thinking About "Pirates 5"
Even though he's gearing up to work on "Into the Woods," Marshall is also thinking about his other Disney commitment: the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film. "Terry [Rossio] is writing it and he’s working incredibly hard and he did a draft and rethought it all and started working on it again," Marshall told THR. "I know Johnny feels the same way: He needs to see a script, but he would be happy -- if it’s the right script -- to put that hat and sword back on."

A New International Poster Debuts For "John Carter"
Andromeda High has posted the newest international poster for "John Carter." The film's promotion is no longer trying to shirk from the fact that this is going to be a CGI-heavy production with lots and lots of aliens, and we're totally okay with that. Better that than audiences going in thinking the movie is about mostly humanoids like the first trailer seemed to suggest.

Daniel Radcliffe's "Saturday Night Live" Promos Premiere
Sure, these aren't as funny as Daniel Radcliffe punching Josh Horowitz in the face (here's a GIF to prove our point) but we could listen to him saying, "Chill broseph, I like Mountain Dew and big butts!" in an American accent all day long.

New Line's "Police Academy" remake gets a director who not only has proven he can helm very funny content, but also is surprisingly knowledgeable about being a police officer. In other news, Melissa McCarthy's upcoming film "Tammy" also nabs a director, Paul Feig is set to helm a new film (that's not "Bridesmaids 2") and the "Goodfellas" TV show finds itself a network to call home.

It's January 10, and you're here for today's daily news round-up.

"Police Academy" Remake To Be Helmed By Scott Zabielski
Deadline is reporting that New Line Cinema's "Police Academy" remake has finally gained a director. "Tosh.O" helmer Scott Zabielski is going to make his feature film debut directing the upcoming take on the film series that started out at Warner Bros in 1984. Fun fact: Zabielski himself is a reserve police officer in West Hollywood. Not your average citizen on patrol!

Melissa McCarthy Flick "Tammy" Gets A Director
"Tammy" finally has a director. Deadline is reporting that "Saturday Night Live" veteran Beth McCarthy-Miller will helm the flick. It was written by Melissa McCarthy and intended to be a starring vehicle for her as well. It's likely gaining a lot of interest right now because of her post-"Bridesmaids" popularity. "Tammy" follows a woman who is laid off from her job at a fast food restaurant and finds out her husband is cheating on her. She decides to ditch the life she was living and go on a "road trip of self-discovery" with her potty-mouthed diabetic grandmother.

Paul Feig To Direct "The Better Woman"
TheWrap has learned that "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig is being tapped to direct "The Better Woman" for Universal. Like "Bridesmaids," "The Better Woman" has a strong line-up of female producers and is being written by a female writer: "Gilmore Girls'" Amy Palladino. The film follows a young executive who gets dumped by her boyfriend for an older woman. She becomes obsessed with getting her boyfriend back but ends up becoming friends with his new lady.

"Goodfellas" TV Show Lands At AMC
AMC already has meth dealers, sexist advertisers and zombies, so it only seems fair that they add gangsters to the mix. The "Goodfellas" television show was being optioned back in September 2010, and now Deadline is reporting that AMC has picked it up. Nicholas Pileggi and Irwin Winkler, both of whom worked on the original 1990 film, are involved in the upcoming series. No word yet on when AMC plans to bring the show to the small screen.

Nicholas Hoult Is One Attractive Zombie In "Warm Bodies"
The first images from Jonathan Levine's upcoming zombie romance film "Warm Bodies" have hit the web, and they show a different take on the bloody-thirsty undead creatures than we've seen before. Since "Warm Bodies" is about a zombie falling in love with a human, it's safe to say that Levine wasn't going to make his leading man too gory, but Nicholas Hoult looks to be channeling a little bit of his inner Edward Cullen in these pictures. It will be interesting to see what the other bad zombies and "Boneys" look like in the film in comparison to Hoult.

"The Bourne Legacy" finally gets a teaser poster to reinforce the fact that this isn't Matt Damon's franchise any more. In other news, the celebrity announcer for the Oscar nominations is, err, announced, "Maleficent" gets a new director and Kiefer Sutherland reveals new details about the long-anticipated "24" movie.

It's January 9, and you're here for today's daily news round-up.

"The Bourne Legacy" Gets A Teaser Poster
Only a few days after the first image from "The Bourne Legacy" hit the web, a basic teaser poster has hit as well. All it really highlights is the fact that Jeremy Renner will be starring in the flick instead of Matt Damon, but doesn't offer any sort of look at what the movie will be beyond the tagline "Prepare for the unexpected." Hopefully Universal will come up with a bit stronger marketing campaign as we get closer to "The Bourne Legacy's" August 3 release date.

Jennifer Lawrence To Announce Oscar Nominations
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed that Jennifer Lawrence will be announcing the 2012 Oscar nominations alongside Academy president Tom Sherak. The event will take place on January 24. Lawrence was an Oscar nominee last year for "Winter's Bone," and is also in the highly anticipated 2012 film "The Hunger Games." In 2011, Lawrence starred in "Like Crazy," "The Beaver" and "X-Men: First Class."

"Maleficent" Gets A Director
Tim Burton might not be helming the upcoming "Sleeping Beauty" spin-off "Maleficent," but Disney has hired the next best thing. Deadline learned the studio has tapped "Avatar" and "Alice in Wonderland" production designer Robert Stromberg to direct the project as his directorial debut. Though he might not have directing experience, at least Stromberg does have a good eye for filmmaking. He won Oscars for his art direction of both previously mentioned films. "Maleficent" is still being developed as a starring vehicle for Angelina Jolie.

"The Devil Inside" Director Heads To "The Vatican"
After "The Devil Inside's" big opening weekend, Warner Bros has turned to its director William Brent Bell to helm their film "The Vatican." Deadline reports the film is staying within the religious horror genre, and is merging a traditional narrative with "found footage" sequences. No word yet on when the film is set to hit theaters, but apparently it's on the fast track to production.

Kiefer Sutherland Reveals More "24" Movie Details
Forgive us for growing a bit skeptical about TV-to-film adaptations, but it's hard to remain hyped for projects that have been in gestation for literally years. So when Kiefer Sutherland tells TV Line that the "24" movie is set to start filming in late April or early May, we're trying to stop ourselves from getting too excited, especially because the flick doesn't have a director and no one beyond Sutherland has said they'll be reprising their roles from the show. Sutherland did say that the movie will be jumping in time by about six months, and the movie will take place over a 24 hour period like the show did.

"Les Miserables" Synopsis Revealed
Universal has revealed the official synopsis for their "Les Miserables" movie starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway. "Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, 'Les Misérables' tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption–a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever," it reads. Note that there's no mention of Taylor Swift, Amanda Seyfried or Sacha Baron Cohen, all of whom are up for roles. Tom Hooper is directing the flick, which is out December 7.

Despite much excitement over the opportunity to direct a film, Matt Damon has decided to pass off directing responsibilities for the upcoming untitled flick he co-wrote with John Krasinski. Meanwhile, Bret McKenzie teases his "The Hobbit" cameo, Kevin Smith updates fans on "Hit Somebody" and Emma Stone finds a "Little White Corvette."

Today is January 5, and you're tuning into today's daily news round up.

Matt Damon Passes On Directing His Directorial Debut
This is a bit of a bummer. Vulture is reporting that Matt Damon is no longer planning on directing the film that was going to be his directorial debut, though he is still planning on starring in it. According to sources close to the project, Damon is pulling back because of "script issues," which is a bit weird because he and John Krasinski co-wrote the script off an idea Krasinski and David Eggers came up with. Whatever the cause, Vulture says the film likely isn't dead in the water because of all the big-name talent still attached to it.

Bret McKenzie Talks "The Hobbit" Cameo
"The Hobbit" includes a number of exciting appearances by big name actors, but one of the funniest and most random additions to the cast has got to "Flight of the Concords" star Bret McKenzie. The New Zealand-born actor was an extra in "Fellowship of the Ring" and scored one line in "Return of the King," and the fan response to his inclusion was so great (pre-"Flight") that director Peter Jackson made sure he cast McKenzie in "The Hobbit" as well. McKenzie dished to ComingSoon.net that he'll play a character named Lindir who is a friend of Elrond's and has a few lines in Elvish. When asked if this is the same character as the one fans dubbed "Figwit" from the "Lord of the Rings" films, McKenzie said no. "You'll probably see, I've got slightly different ears," he said with a laugh. "That's how I differentiate my elf characters. The big difference for this character is that he's in 3D. He's a character that's a lot more three dimensional."

"Avatar" Second-Unit Director To Take On Tornados
Steven Quale, the second-unit director on "Avatar" and "Titanic," is in final negotiations with New Line to direct an upcoming found-footage film documenting a hurricane called "Category Six." Vulture has the exclusive, saying that Quale's involvement likely means the film will be shot in 3D because he was responsible for "much of the envelope-pushing 3D in 'Avatar.'" Quale recently made his directorial debut with New Line with the film "Final Destination 5."

Kevin Smith Tweets "Hit Somebody" Updates
Kevin Smith took to his Twitter this morning to post some new news about his upcoming -- and final -- film, "Hit Somebody." Apparently he's squashed his plans to split the story into two films, and is just going to make one long flick to go out with a bang. His guess is that it will probably clock in at 150 total running time, including credits. Smith is working on a second script for the project right now, and said he's expecting to get the film in front of the camera in June with a planned premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Emma Stone Cruises To "Little White Corvette"
Deadline is reporting that Emma Stone is on board to star in the upcoming movie "Little White Corvette," which was just acquired by GK Films for $1 million. She'll likely be playing the character of the older sister in the film. "Little White Corvette" follows two siblings who travel to Miami to try to sell the million-dollar stash of '70s cocaine they found in the trunk of their late father's car, according to Deadline. Shooting will begin in the late summer.

Mike Myers Writing 'Austin Powers' Musical
The International Man of Mystery may be on the prowl again, but this time on Broadway. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Casey Nicholaw, the co-director of the Tony Award-winning "Book of Mormon," is in talks to direct a stage version of the British spy spoof which Myers would write the story for. The proposed musical would act as a prequel to the film, taking place in the 1960s, and would not star Myers.

Biblical Epic 'Paradise Lost' Put on Hold
Bradley Cooper may have to wait to don the horns and a tail as Lucifer, as Warner Bros. has put a hold on the Alex Proyas-directed film. The movie which chronicles the heavenly battle between good and evil started to drift over its proposed $120 million budget, and the studio paused production to reassess the bill.

'Arthur & Lancelot' Hangs In Balance with Budget Crisis
Just as another Warner Bros. movie, "Paradise Lost," got paused for budget issues, another, the medieval tale of "Arthur & Lancelot" may face the same fate. Producers are rethinking the budget, fearing that it may eventually exceed its $130 million budget.

Ryan Gosling Absent from First 'Gangster Squad'
Entertainment Weekly has the very first official picture from Ruben Fleischer's post-war mob flick, "Gangster Squad," but the man everyone's talking about these days, Ryan Gosling, is no where to be seen. Instead, Josh Brolin and Sean Penn stare each other in a moody snapshot from the film.

Seth Rogen Will Host Independent Spirit Awards
The biggests award for indie films, the Independent Spirit Awards, have found their host in funnyman Seth Rogen, who appears in one of the films nominated for Best Feature, "50/50." The show will air on IFC on February 25th.

Critics Choice Awards Honor 'Drive,' 'The Artist' and 'Hugo' With Best Pictures Noms
Award season is in full swing, and there are no sure bets quite yet. The latest round of nominations comes from the Critics Choice Awards, who picked ten potential nominees for their Best Picture Award. Among them, "Drive" surprised with a nomination and a sign that the indie thriller may be picking up awards steam.

'Men In Black' Trailer Premieres
After ten years, the Men In Black are back with a trailer that looks decidedly like the two previous movies. The preview mostly sets up the story’s main arc, and ends with a twist that everyone already knows about. Check it out for the return of Will Smith after a three year absence from the movies and for an example of perfect casting.

'Drive' Sequel Novel Coming In April
The book that spawned the brilliant summer surprise is getting a sequel. James Sallis, the author of the original “Drive” novel has announced that its follow up, “Driven,” will hit shelves in April of next year. If you haven’t read the first book, it’s definitely worth a look. It will take you two days tops, and should stave off your craving for head stomping until the Blu-ray comes out in January.

George Clooney Sets His Sights on Smothers Brothers Movie
George Clooney and his production company, Smokehouse, have snapped up the rights to a book chronicling the careers of the Smothers Brothers. Tom and Dicky Smothers were television comedians in the late 1960s and became icons of the counter-culture movement during their short run on TV. Smokehouse will produce the movie with Sony Pictures. There is no word yet on whether Clooney will either direct or star in the film.

Leonardo DiCaprio Project Tops Annual Black List
Every year, Hollywood insiders vote on the best unproduced screenplays floating around Tinsel Town. This year a proposed Leonardo DiCaprio project took the top slot in a landslide victory. “The Imitation Game” is the story of Alan Turring, one of the mathematicians responsible for breaking Nazi code in World War II, but who was later persecuted for being a homosexual. When Warner Bros. bought the script back in October, DiCaprio was rumored as the front-runner for the role of Turring. Other scripts mentioned on the list include “Chewie,” a retelling of the making of “Star Wars” from the perspective of Peter Mayhew and Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.”
