James Bond

Sad news, James Bond fans: Sam Mendes isn't going to direct "Bond 24." Despite early reports to the contrary, Mendes has confirmed that he's passed on the project.

“It has been a very difficult decision not to accept Michael [Wilson] and Barbara [Broccoli]’s very generous offer to direct the next Bond movie," Mendes told Empire magazine. "Directing 'Skyfall' was one of the best experiences of my professional life, but I have theatre and other commitments, including productions of 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory' and 'King Lear,' that need my complete focus over the next year and beyond."

Wreck-It Ralph

Considering the success "Wreck-It Ralph" had in theaters, it's no wonder that director Rich Moore is cooking up a sequel to the movie. He opened up about his plans for a "Wreck-It Ralph 2" when asked during a recent interview if there were other Fix It Felix, Jr. arcade games with Ralph's personality out in the film's world.

"That is so funny that you ask that because I was just talking to John C. Reilly [the voice of Ralph] and we were talking about exactly that," Moore told Hypable. As it turns out, that's one route Moore is thinking of going with his upcoming sequel.

Here's a collaboration we never thought we'd see: Angelina Jolie has tapped Joel and Ethan Coen to rewrite her next directorial effort, "Unbroken."

That's right, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Jolie has managed to wrangle the Coen Brothers to make sure that her next film will be in the best shape it can possibly be. This movie has been in development at Universal for over 50 years, but Jolie only recently took the project from former helmer Francis Lawrence. If the movie had script issues, the Coens really are the right people to be asked to straighten them out.
