Evil Dead

As we get closer and closer to "Evil Dead's" release date, the marketing for the movie keeps getting more and more horrifying. In case anyone was worried that this wouldn't actually be "the most terrifying film you'll ever experience," a new featurette will calm your fears. Be warned, it is loaded with violence and terrifying imagery.

"I was watching TV at home and there was some interview that they were saying, 'Oh, they're going to remake "Evil Dead,"' and I was like, 'Who's going to touch that classic? Poor bastard,'" director Fede Alvarez recalled in the new video. He added of how he approached the new project, "I really want every time I do something to shock them in a way, to provoke them, but it has to work for the people who never saw the original."

Finding Nemo

"Finding Nemo 2" finally has an official — and telling — name: "Finding Dory." Walt Disney Pictures announced the detail about the long-anticipated sequel, which takes place a year after the events of "Finding Nemo."

"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time," Ellen DeGeneres said in a press release. "I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating 'Toy Story 16.' But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is — it's got a lot more Dory."

Star Wars

Peter Jackson either concocted a very elaborate April Fools' prank, or he accidentally revealed some pretty big movie news.

If you watched "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" sneak peek that was revealed yesterday, you might have noticed Jackson fumbling around a bit in his desk. The clever folks over at First Showing honed in on that moment and noticed quite the Easter egg: a script for "Star Wars: Episode VIII" with Jackson's name on it.

Fast & Furious 6

"Fast & Furious 6" might still be almost two months away from being released, but plans are already in the works for a follow-up. Star Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page to tease when the new movie will begin shooting.

"There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal… and their demand for the continuation was powerful… It’s remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999… and the evolution continues," he wrote, via /Film. "P.s. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started… talk about a studio in sync with the audience…"

While the fact Rebel Wilson is hosting the 2013 MTV Movie Awards this year is enough to get us tuning in, the list of presenters that was announced today is a wonderful added bonus. Everyone from Zach Efron to the cast of "Star Trek Into Darkness" will be handing out Golden Popcorns, so it's time to start getting excited.

Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto will be representing J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" sequel at the Movie Awards, while "This Is The End's" Seth Rogen and Danny McBride will also be stopping by. The comedy won't stop with that duo, as both Chris Rock and Adam Sandler will appear from "Grown Ups 2." Hopefully at least one of those two pairs will be involved in presenting Will Ferrell the first-ever Comedic Genius Award.

Escape from New York

We might not be too thrilled about producer Joel Silver and Studio Canal's upcoming remake of "Escape from New York," but we can get behind the actors they're looking at for it.

The New York Daily News reports that Jason Statham and Tom Hardy are the top two choices for the upcoming movie. They have taken over those spots from former favorites Gerard Butler and Jeremy Renner now that the "Escape from New York" reboot has renewed life.

Pain & Gain

The latest trailer for Michael Bay's "Pain & Gain" has arrived, and it's absolutely hilarious. Though Dwayne Johnson's character Paul Doyle, Mark Wahlberg's Daniel Lugo and Anthony Mackie's Adrian Doorbal aren't considered heroes in real life, they definitely look like they will be in the movie based on what we've seen this red band trailer.

The video is for ages 17 and up because of some swearing, violence and a severed toe. It's also much more comedic than the previous "Pain & Gain" trailers released. The use of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' song "Thrift Shop" helps with that, but the new scenes of Rebel Wilson and Ken Jeong make it seem like "Pain & Gain" could be as much a comedy as it is an action movie.

Tom Hiddleston might be best known for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he also has a knack for comedy. The Brit got to flaunt that skill during the MTV After Hours sketch "Loki'd," so we're going to take partial responsibility for the next bit of news.

The blog called Muppets Henson reports that Hiddleston has a role in the upcoming film "The Muppets... Again." He will reportedly play The Great Escapo, and hopefully will have more than just a cameo.

James Bond

Sam Mendes might not be back for "Bond 24," but producer Barbara Broccoli is holding out hope that he'll never say never again. In a new interview, she and her fellow producer Michael G. Wilson said they think Mendes could return to the 007 franchise at some point in the future.

"We haven't given up hope. We'll get him back sometime," Broccoli said on the Empire Awards red carpet to Getty Images Entertainment (via /Film). "Maybe not for the next one... but hopefully we will get him back again."

Wilson added, "We hope that with all this success maybe he would have gotten inspired to come back."
