The Hobbit

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" comes out in little over a week, and it will allow fans to return to Middle-Earth almost a decade after "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" hit theaters. The new Peter Jackson film is the first in a trilogy that will expand upon the story of "The Hobbit" with material from J.R.R. Tolkien's Appendices, so there is plenty for fans to look forward to in the new movies.

In anticipation of the December 14 release, Warner Bros. has released a 13-minute-long featurette that takes viewers through the return to Middle-Earth in the new film. From the introduction of the dwarves to Bilbo's run-in with the trolls, the video gives a behind-the-scenes look at "An Unexpected Journey."

"Fans of 'The Hobbit,' they're going to get so much more," Elijah Wood teased in the featurette.

Skyfall

"Skyfall" returned James Bond to the basics, and British audiences have loved it. The movie opened huge and has only done better in the UK, and now has become the biggest British release of all time.

MGM and Sony have announced that the movie made £94,277,612 in only 40 days, which is roughly the equivalent of $151,720,961. That number places "Skyfall" at the top of the British all-time box office charts. The previous record holder was "Avatar," which made £94,025,632 during its 11 months in UK cinemas. Not too shabby for 007 considering "Avatar" is the most successful movie of all time.

Terminator

The upcoming "Terminator" film that producer Megan Ellison has been preparing just got another big name on board: her brother, David Ellison.

Deadline is reporting that the Ellison siblings are aiming to "finish 'The Terminator's humanity vs the Skynet cyborgs storyline with a new series of films,' and David is no stranger to bringing an aging franchise back from the dead. In addition to his involvement in films like "Jack Reacher," "Star Trek Into Darkness" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," he's also one of the producers behind "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol."

If David -- who, we consider it worth mentioning is only 29 -- can do for "The Terminator" what "Ghost Protocol" did for the "Mission: Impossible" franchise, we might actually be interested in the upcoming project. Here are a few pointers we have for the Ellisons to help this film go in that direction.

As fans of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series know, some of the most important characters to the world of "Game of Thrones" are introduced a couple books in. We're finally meeting them now, like Meera and Jojen, the Queen of Thorns and Mance Rayder -- and yes, we catch glimpses of all four in the production video.

Monsters

Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sulley" Sullivan have got plenty of school spirit when it comes to the University of Fear.

A new poster for "Monsters University" shows the two monsters wearing letter jackets and hanging out with big smiles on their faces. Just like old "Monsters, Inc." times, except we already know that this movie tells the story of how Mike and Sully became friends. Kudos to Disney for having Mike stand on fantastically titled University of Fear text books like "Scareomics" and "I'm Scary, You're Scary."

Pacific Rim

The viral campaign for "Pacific Rim" is officially underway, and today it's debuted two new blueprints for the giant robotic Jaegers. These reveal the designs for Jaegers in Russia and Japan, proving that this movie is going to be a worldwide war against the giant Kaiju monsters.

It's interesting and exciting that the two blueprints show very different versions of the Jaegers. It seems as though we shouldn't expect the human-controlled robots to have a uniform design, which is something that director Guillermo del Toro must be geeking out over. That man never seems to be happier than when he's designing some epic creature for us to ooh and ahh over.

Hobbit

With two and a half weeks left until "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" hits theaters, Warner Bros. is pulling out all the promotional stops for what is looking to be another massive trilogy for the studio. A lucky few (well, technically more than a few) attended "The Hobbit" premiere in New Zealand on Wednesday, and the rest of us out there who won't be watching the movie early will have to settle for a whole heck of a lot of images from the film.

At least we're talking about a really, really lot of photos here. You can check them out in all their glory over at SuperHeroHype, but be prepared to dedicate at least a half an hour poring over their eight page image gallery. This is the entire image gallery released for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."

Twilight

If you are one of the many people afflicted with the "Twilight Saga" blues, then we have just the cure for you. The brilliant minds behind Bad Lip Reading videos have tackled the "Twilight Saga" yet again, and have created some of their best work yet.

Taking some of the most emotional moments from the "Twilight" series and turning them into some of its funniest is no easy feat, but the lip reading experts manage to do so with flying colors here. Just what were Edward and Bella talking about when he was leaving her in "New Moon" if it wasn't about her taking her rabbit to the vet? And remember that time when Bella crashed Jacob's dirt bike because she ran over a gummy bear? Yeah, those were some of our favorite scenes too. Check out the video after the jump.

Harry Potter

The story of "Harry Potter" might be over, but the era of insanely expensive collectible "Harry Potter" memorabilia is only just beginning.

Meet "Harry Potter Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey," a $1,000 eight volume set that details the Boy Wizard's journey from the -- you guessed it -- page to screen. The entire collection is made to look like it came from Diagon Alley and could happily sit in the Hogwarts library, and it includes items like five frameable pieces of never-before-published art and a really cool replica of the "Monsters Book of Monsters." Of course, there are also actual books that talk about the relationships between the cast and crew and the process of transforming J.K. Rowling's best-selling novels into worldwide blockbuster films.
