Brace yourself for “Star Trek 2: The Wrath of… Somebody.”

Of course there will be a villain in J.J. Abrams and company's sequel to 2009’s “Star Trek,” and producer Damon Lindelof knows who it will be.

“Those decisions have been made and we are not waffling on them,” Lindelof told MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, though he stayed cryptic on the exact who's and what's. But now that Abrams’ “Super 8” duties are done and he can focus on "Trek" -- possibly even directing the sequel himself -- a script is finally coming together, featuring a new Big Bad. Or perhaps... not so new.

Donnie WahlbergWorking with two of this country's most respected actors (as well as one darn good rapper) provided "Righteous Kill" co-star Donnie Wahlberg with some pretty awesome memories.

"Every day on set with Pacino was amazing. He has a million and one stories. 50 was incredible… but probably my favorite memory was I got the giggles with Robert DeNiro. When you get them you can’t stop laughing because you know that people want you to stop laughing, so the director’s over there getting frustrated, but me and Robert DeNiro can’t stop giggling during this scene and it was pretty surreal. To be sitting there where neither one of us can stop laughing at goofy stuff we were saying between takes, that was pretty fun." Read More...

It's really no surprise that David Duchovny is in rehab for sex addiction, as People reported Thursday. Just look at his filmography: The clues are everywhere, including in the titles. His most recent projects include the second "X-Files" movie ("X" as in "X-rated") and Showtime's "Californication" ('nuff said), but even in years past his TV and film work often hinted that something just wasn't right with the guy.

Way back in 1990, when no one outside the English departments at Princeton and Yale knew who he was, Duchovny starred in a movie called "Julia Has Two Lovers." He played a creepy dude who called women he selected randomly from the phone book and pleasured himself during the conversations. On a related note, in the "X-Files" TV series, Fox Mulder had very little actual sex, but it is widely known that the character had a major porn addiction. In at least one episode he gets turned on watching a tape of a Bigfoot sighting.

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny in 'The X-Files: I Want To Believe'It's something I've been waiting over a decade for - the chance to interview one of my favorite TV duos, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, from one of the best TV shows of all time, "The X-Files." The occasion was the press junket for their new film, "The X-Files: I Want to Believe," and it started with a flight from JFK to LAX. I arrived at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel on Friday afternoon, and shortly afterward was on a shuttle van to the movie screening at the Zanuck Theatre, on the Fox lot.

During the short trip to the lot I spoke with some other journalists who are X-Philes like myself, and four of us sat together in the theater, forming our own little geek group. During the screening we whispered about some familiar faces that appeared onscreen, and about some folks whom we wished were included but weren't. There were some pleasant surprises, some truly frightening moments, and I left the theater pretty satisfied with this second big-screen "X-Files" adventure. Read More...

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe'Apparently some people out there, including at least one colleague (cough, Josh Horowitz, cough) think that the upcoming film "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" is not worth covering. I've heard several excuses: the TV show ended too many years ago; the stars are old; the movie has nothing new to offer today's audience; no one cares. Now this is a movie that, as an "X-Files" fan, I've been awaiting for some time - and I don't think I'm alone. Even for the non-fan, the casual movie-goer, there's plenty to get excited about. So, I will now give you five reasons why "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" merits our attention: Read More...
