Girls, mark your calendars and start picking out your Manolos. The long-awaited, official announcement that "Sex and the City 2” will, in fact, return arrives by way of a release date: May 28, 2010.

According the Variety, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will all return with director/writer Michael Patrick King.

It seems Warner Bros. and New Line are hoping lightening will strike twice with their choice of opening weekend. "SATC 2" will hit theaters on the same weekend that it did for the first film's release, which was May 20, 2008. Read More...

Warner Bros. has released a set of character posters for this summer's hugely anticipated "Harry Potter" flick, "The Half-Blood Prince." The six posters include shots of Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, Michael Gambon as Albus Dumbledore, Alan Rickman as Severus Snape and Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy.

The film, the sixth in the "Potter" series, hits theaters on July 17 after getting its release pushed back eight months from its original November 2008 date. As promised, we have been updating our "New Moon" cast photo gallery as news continues to evolve around the who's who of the second film in the "Twilight" saga.

Unlike the Wolf Pack casting announcement, the Volturi casting news is trickling out bit by bit. Last week runway model Noot Seear was said to play Heidi, and yesterday we brought you news that Jamie Campbell-Bower has been cast as Caius.

The interesting thing about the Jamie Campbell-Bower casting is how young he looks in comparison to how old and venerable Caius comes across in the "Twilight" series. However, considering many of the vampires are hundreds of years old but look the age at which they were originally turned, Campbell-Bower's look could work really well, especially with those piercing eyes. (Check out a shot of your new Caius after the jump, plus the rest of the cast in our "New Moon" cast photo gallery.) Read More...

Yesterday we reported the news that Chris Weitz cast the Wolf Pack -- the Native American entourage of Taylor Lautner -- with relative unknowns who will make their big screen debuts in "New Moon." Official photos are surprisingly not easy to come by, but the power of Google has helped Twilighters figure out what everyone looks like.

General consensus is positive, if your comments in yesterday's blog are any indication, with special appreciation that Weitz chose to cast actors of Native American descent as the Native Americans in the film. Read More...

Is it possible to love Reese Witherspoon more than before? "Star Trek" fans just might, after seeing the mega star hit the red carpet at the premiere for her new film "Monsters vs. Aliens." Witherspoon wore a futuristic silver and green mini dress and flashed Vulcan gang signs (ok fine, it was just the Vulcan salute) at cameras. No reports as to any vocalization of "live long and prosper" from the actress, but I'm sure Spock would still be proud.

Now the only question is: Why? Anyone?

Anyway, back to the clothes. Witherspoon's attire could make for a really cool, modern look for the next round of star fleet uniforms, if future iterations of the Star Trek franchise moved forward in time after this year's origin story. We at MTV News love Paul Rudd. I'm sure no one here loves him more than Josh Horowitz (sorry Dwayne Johnson), but we all appreciate that Rudd is usually up for anything when it comes to creative interviews. It gives me great pleasure that Paul Rudd was absolutely the best dressed male at last night's premiere for his new comedy "I Love You, Man."

Mr. Rudd looked sharp in a grey suit, black gingham shirt and black tie. Monochromatic, but not boring, the ensemble played on tones and patterns. I'm not sure what else you can say about a really well put together suit, shirt and tie, but a "thank you" to his stylist is probably in order. In fact, maybe it was his lovely wife, Julie Yaeger, who played the part of arm-candy. Her black-on-black outfit absolutely complimented his. Do you know what the best thing about the "Fast and the Furious" franchise is? The racing, which we showed you yesterday, but also the fact that when the cast show up for the movie premieres, they genuinely look like they're having a good time. They look like friends, and it makes me want to see their movies.

Last night's "Fast & Furious" premiere, the forth in the series, was no different.

The speedsters hung out, joked around, posed for photos and signed autographs for their loyal fans. It makes me speculate that they may even hang out when they're not getting paid to! And everyone looked great! No fashion faux pas from the principle cast. Jordana Brewster wore a very feminine light pink, Grecian-looking dress that fit perfectly. Michelle Rodriguez's form-fitting black lacy number was a bit risqué, with its nude undertones, but really showed off what great shape she is in. "17 Again" doesn't hit theaters until April 17th here in the United States, but lucky Australian Zac Efron fans get an early sneak peek at the film. It opens a week early down under, and premiered last night, an entire month before the film will be released there.

Fans flocked to the premiere to get a glimpse of Zac (swoon!) and were treated to a surprise: Taylor Swift also walked the red carpet. Zac and Taylor took the time to sign autographs and meet fans, while also posing for photos.

Swift's hair and makeup team never fail to impress, and the singer face was flawless yet again. However, her dress was not something I would have chosen for a tall, slender girl. With a long neck and excellent posture, Taylor Swift looked a bit giraffe-like in her white dress, which had vertical detailing in the front that elongated her neck. She looked flawless at the Grammy Red Carpet in February with a v-neckline -- she should stick with that, although you have to give her props for taking a risk. (Check out her dress after the jump, plus see more photos from the "17 Again" Australia premiere in our gallery.) Read More...

Did you know that "Twilight" hasn't premiered in Japan yet? In fact, the film won't hit theaters until April 4th, which is after the DVD release here in the United States! Can you imagine being the last country to receive the film, having to wait almost 5 extra months to experience Bella and Edward's on-screen chemistry?

Oh! The! Agony!

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner traveled to Japan to promote "Twilight" -- not that it needs promotion these days, but Twilighters are Twilighters, and it's only fair that those in Japan get their chance to see the stars in person. (Check out photos after the jump, and then take a look at the entire Japanese "Twilight" event photo gallery here.) Read More...

So what are you up to today? Oh wait, I know, playing hooky in honor of the "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" movie! Not that I encourage that kind of behavior, but let's be honest, some things are too good to wait for. To celebrate the release of the movie finally, here is a rather fantastic clip from the performance of fan-favorite "Burnin' Up."

In the clip, check out fancy footwork from the Jonas trio of Kevin, Nick and Joe, as fans cheer and scream and sing along in the audience. How much fun are these guys having up there on stage? You can actually tell how much they love what they do, and how much they appreciate you as you sing along from the front (or back) row of the show. So enjoy!
