Arthur Penn, Britney Spears On 'Glee' And Michael Bolton Support In Today's Twitter-Wood

Britney Spears on GleeTwitter-Wood mourned the passing of "Bonnie and Clyde" director Arthur Penn today. Penn Jillette, who starred in Penn's "Penn and Teller Get Killed," offered his reactions to the news in a post, as did director Edgar Wright.

In lighter topics, the Britney Spears episode of "Glee" last night generated a lot of buzz; it also generated pictures on John Stamos' account and an intimidated reaction to Jane Lynch's performance from Spears. Sally Menke, The Bears/Packers Game And 'Dead Rising 2' In Today's Twitter-Wood

Dead Rising 2The death of Quentin Tarantino's editor Sally Menke sent shockwaves through Twitter-Wood today. Directors, writers and actors alike showed up to share memories on their accounts, including Edgar Wright, Omar Doom and Richard Kelly.

Meanwhile, in Chicago the Bears/Packers game last night resulted in a few exclamation points getting tossed around. John Cusack looked pretty calm in a picture he posted following the Bears' win, though. Stephen Colbert, Eddie Fisher Remembered And Sympathy For Lindsay Lohan In Today's Twitter-Wood

Some of the tweets were serious and some were less so today, as Stephen Colbert made headlines testifying before a House subcommittee. Pop singer Eddie Fisher's death also resonated in Twitter-Wood, with his daughter Carrie Fisher commemorating him with a post and Alyssa Milano among those sending condolences.

Last night's new episode of "Community" brought some smiles, though, and actress Yvette Nicole Brown shared a look at Donald Glover's Spider-Man duds from her account. Check out what he looked like down below along with David Hasselhoff's words of sympathy for Lindsay Lohan and a shot of Neil Gaiman on the "Doctor Who" set.

'Super 8' Adds Singer/Actress AJ Michalka To Its Cast

Just because J.J. Abrams' "Super 8" is moving ahead with filming doesn't mean it's too late to add an extra cast member or two. He already had Dakota Fanning's little sister Elle, Kyle Chandler from NBC's "Friday Night Lights" and Ron Eldard from "Black Hawk Down" locked down, but it looks like singer, 78violet member and actress AJ Michalka will be a part of the production as well.

First Footage From 'Scream 4' Set Emerges

If you caught yesterday's Twitter-Wood, you know that Wes Craven proudly proclaimed "a wrap on 'Scream 4.'" Well, the first glimpses of action on the set have now emerged in an "Entertainment Tonight" set visit confirming that Ghostface will return, Neve Campbell will walk on a roof and Courteney Cox's character will be as frantic as ever in the upcoming sequel.

As for who lives and who dies in the first scene, that stuff's still top secret, and terrible things will happen to the actors if you force them to talk, evidently.

"We're sworn to secrecy," David Arquette told "ET." "We've actually had to sign our own lives away."

'Rocky Horror Picture Show' Tribute Getting 'Glee' Cast Members And Danny DeVito

In honor of the 35th anniversary of the cult legend that is the "Rocky Horror Picture Show," a couple of "Glee" stars will be teaming up with some Hollywood heavyweights to do a special show for charity on October 28 in Los Angeles. Actress Lea Michele revealed her involvement in an announcement to her fan club, naming her co-star Matthew Morrison, Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito and Jason Segel as collaborators for the celebration.

Morrison and Michele will take on the roles of Brad and Janet, while Nicholson and DeVito will split time playing The Criminologist and Segel will portray Dr. Everett V. Scott.

"It is going to be a night out to remember for a very long time," the original film's producer Lou Adler said in a press release. "All of these amazing artists performing those classic songs plus a costume ball is amazing; but, most of all, it will benefit the special kids who attend the Painted Turtle Camp." Read More...

American Idol Judges, A New 'Glee' Cast Member And Paris Hilton Leaves Japan In Today's Twitter-Wood

Damon Lindelof has voiced his opinions on the "American Idol" judge lineup before, and this week's announcement that Jennifer Lopez or Steven Tyler would be replacing Simon Cowell on the show didn't inspire a flattering comparison from him. One new face on last night's "Glee" season premiere, meanwhile, did draw a compliment from Virginia Madsen.

In other tweets, Milla Jovovich shared a photo of her dress for "The Three Musketeers," while Seth Green had some fierce words for another Twitter user about his wife. All of this drama was accompanied by a goodbye tweet from Paris Hilton addressed to her Asian fans when she was forced to leave Japan prematurely. Carla Gugino Joining Jim Carrey For 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'

"Mr. Popper's Penguins" isn't likely to have nearly as much S&M as "Sucker Punch," but that hasn't stopped Carla Gugino from signing on to star alongside Jim Carrey in the adaptation of Richard and Florence Atwater's 1938 children's book. She's handled more mature parts under Zack Snyder, both in "Sucker Punch" and in "Watchmen" as Sally Jupiter, but this venture should be a bit more wholesome.

Gugino will appear under the direction of Mark Waters ("Mean Girls"), according to a Variety report. The 20th Century Fox family project will cast her in the story of a wealthy New York businessman who inherits six penguins and goes on to learn about life, love and human relationships. Zach Galifiniakis Talks Lunchbreaks And Working Under Two Directors

Zach Galifiniakis has been busy signing on for films like "Due Date," "Operation: Endgame" and "It's Kind of a Funny Story" recently. You may wonder how he selects those roles, though. The "Hangover" star broke down some key questions that go through his head and also explained what it's like working under directing partners Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck in the story about a young man's stay in an adult psychiatric ward.

"I had a few questions," Galifiniakis told MTV News. "The first one was 'When are the lunch breaks? How long are the lunch breaks? And is this a Pixar film?' Because those are my three rules." Read More...
