Eva LongoriaSeth Green has been a prolific tweeter of photography this year, and I wish we had some kind of award to give him. Instead, he gave us all something marvelous yesterday in the form of a picture full of ninjas. Jon Favreau, meanwhile, gave us a trailer from his new movie "Cowboys & Aliens," which succeeded in achieving trending status today.

Between "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Green Lantern," there's a lot of movie hype flying around this week. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" should still be fine, though, even if it does give Seth MacFarlane some wild ideas about Joaquin Phoenix. Find out what he's been contemplating after the jump, along with who thinks he might have a shot at dating Eva Longoria now that she's filed for divorce.

Wizard of OzRobert Downey Jr. is a popular choice for "Wizard of Oz"-related movies right now. He first showed up on Disney's list earlier this year for their prequel "Oz, The Great and Powerful," but Warner Bros. reportedly wants him as well for a Robert Zemeckis-helmed remake of MGM's 1939 musical classic. What's even more interesting, however, is that they want to use MGM's original screenplay as the basis for the film.

Zemeckis is still in early discussions with Disney, according to a Deadline report. Warner already owns the 1939 screenplay, which they purchased from Ted Turner, who originally bought it as part of a larger MGM library acquisition. Read More...

Zach Galifianakis Muppets movieWhen MTV spoke to Zach Galifianakis at the "Due Date" premiere earlier this month, the funnyman wouldn't deny outright that he's going to be in James Bobin's new "Muppets" movie. And now a new report from The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog claims that Galifianakis is playing a hobo alongside a legion of other celebrity cameos in the upcoming "Muppets" flick.

We already knew that Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones would be joining Jason Segel in significant roles. It looked like Jane Lynch might have a cameo, but she's since shot down those reports. Not to worry, a fresh new crop of celebs are joining Galifianakis in cameos.. Alan Arkin has been fingered as a tour guide, Jack Black will play a kidnapping victim, and Billy Crystal and Jean-Claude Van Damme are also showing up in unspecified cameos. Read More...

SkylineNow that a cholera epidemic has reached Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, and the death toll is climbing toward 1,000, the worsening situation has become a recurring topic of conversation in our Twitter feed. Danny DeVito was searching around for something to do to help yesterday, while Olivia Wilde shared a picture from a Haitian pediatric hospital where she's been hanging out.

In movie-related posts, "Skyline" prompted a few micro-reviews over the weekend. Sasha Grey broke her spectrum of reactions down into a single tweet and may have managed to break a Twitter-Wood record for most sentences in a single post. Check it out after the jump and see if you share her sentiments. Even if you don't, you'll see what Eli Roth received for participating in a "Scream" documentary and what Marlon Wayans recommends for the Minnesota Vikings.

Natalie PortmanNatalie Portman's going to dazzle some audiences this holiday season with her acting, dancing and makeup job in Darren Aronofsky "Black Swan," but she's also branching out creatively in an attempt to impress studios with her writing skills: Portman and her college pal Laura Moses have co-written a raunchy comedy, currently called "BYO," which revolves around two twenty-something women throwing a party where every female in attendance has to bring a single guy along as a guest.

The concept has been been compared to "Superbad" with female leads by those who have read it, according to the Los Angeles Times' 24 Frames blog. If the film finds a home, Portman wants to produce and star, and Anne Hathaway is reportedly interested in stepping into the second lead role. Read More...

Channing TatumChanning Tatum battled evil with action-figure-inspired technology in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," but he may be scaling things down a bit to help out America's youth with Jonah Hill. Tatum reportedly wants in and is set to begin negotiations for the Hill-written big-screen adaptation of the '80s cop show that launched Johnny Depp's career, "21 Jump Street." While the film has a part for Johnny Depp in a "really funny cameo" if he wants it, he's far too old to play the lead, seeing as the cops in "Jump Street" go undercover as high-school students to root out crime.

Enter Tatum, who is now the front runner for the movie's lead role, according to Deadline. The studio thought Tatum and Hill made a good on-screen pair, and if all goes as planned production should begin next spring with "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller overseeing things.
