Blake Edwards Remembered, Bob Feller And 'Stargate Universe' Canceled In Today's Twitter-Wood

Blake EdwardsWriter-director Blake Edwards' death was felt in Twitter-Wood today. His films such as "Breakfast at Tiffany"'s and "The Pink Panther" influenced generations of Hollywood talent, and a few such actors and directors, including Edgar Wright, Steve Martin and William Shatner paid their respects with posts.

The sports world was sad as well, with Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller passing away; Brody Stevens honored his legacy, while yet even more distraught tweets reacted to news that "Stargate Universe" has been canceled on Syfy. Check out who's going to miss it down below.

Celebs Tweet About Ryan Reynolds And Scarlett Johansson's Split In Today's Twitter-Wood

John Cusack, Miley Cyrus And An Alternate 'Yogi Bear' Ending In Today's Twitter-Wood

Miley Cyrus Smoking, Elizabeth Edwards' Funeral And 'Lost' Jabs On 'Community' In Today's Twitter-Wood

Miley CyrusElizabeth Edwards showed up in numerous memorial tweets earlier this week, but even more posts surfaced today to express disgust over the Westboro Baptist Church's decision to picket her funeral. The announcement did inspire Michael Ian Black to declare a new item to scratch off of his life's bucket list, though.

Hugh Jackman's 'Real Steel' Trailer Is Like 'Rocky'... With Robots

Hugh Jackman's upcoming film "Real Steel" must have been jealous of all the attention that the new "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" teaser has been getting this week, because a new trailer just bum-rushed the Internet to show off 2011's other robo-oriented action film. And while the bots may not come from Cybertron, they do look like they could have come from a nearby moon where the law of the land resembles the rules for "Rock'em Sock'em Robots."

Director Shawn Levy of "Night at the Museum" fame is behind this spectacle, which has been scheduled to hit theaters next year on October 7. The story follows a down-on-his luck fighter played by Jackman who teams up with his son to reclaim some glory in a circuit of competitions that are dominated by machines instead of men. The plot comes from a short story called "Steel" by Richard Matheson and doesn't seem reminiscent of Michael Bay's "Transformers" films at all until you see these first clips, which were posted to YouTube. Howard Stern At Sirius, Seth Meyers Hosting The WHCA Dinner And 'Superbad 2' In Today's Twitter-Wood

Julian Assange, Darth Vader Snowflakes And 'Men In Black 3' In Today's Twitter-Wood

Men In Black 3WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's arrest in London kicked up some tweet commentary in the feed today. Amid all of the critics and supporters, though, James Urbaniak thinks Assange would be a fine "Law and Order" character.

Wil Wheaton, meanwhile, attempted to leak the secrets of creating paper Darth Vader snowflakes on his account, and the pictures show that he came very close.
