"Machete" director Robert Rodriguez wants you to see his "Spy Kids" movie – the fourth installment in the series, which hit theaters last weekend. The director is going grindhouse again and cooking up some killer tacos to celebrate the occasion.

Just one more day until we get to see Craig Gillespie's "Fright Night" remake of the horror-comedy classic in 3D.
To get you in the mood, IGN has released a brand new red-band clip which you can watch here -- it should go without saying, this is not safe for work. Watch how hot things get when vampire fiend Jerry (Colin Farrell) terrorizes his neighbor, high school student Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin), and Charlie's mom (Toni Collette) and girlfriend (Imogen Poots).

The new "Final Destination" hits theaters today and takes audiences on a fifth spin through the horror franchise that finds teens terrorized by Death. This time, the Grim Reaper stalks a group of suspension bridge collapse survivors who manage to escape the disaster with their lives – but not for long. The film stars Nicholas D'Agosto, Miles Fisher (who created that hilarious video we shared last week), Emma Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Arlen Escarpeta, Ellen Wroe, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, David Koechner and everyone's favorite Candyman, Tony Todd.

Combine the gory antics of the "Final Destination" franchise with the '80s goofball sitcom "Saved By the Bell" and you get "Final Destination 5" star's Miles Fisher's latest video, starring the cast of the soon to be released film.
Set to his latest song "New Romance," the vid spoofs on the cheesy teen TV show in the bloodiest of ways — killing off the high school kids one by one. It's a fun way to get pumped for the deadly "Destination" film, which hits theaters on August 12. The new installment in the horror franchise follows a group of suspension bridge collapse survivors who fight for their lives a second time once Death realizes they got away.

Hardcore "Fright Night" fans have had mixed reactions since the new trailer for the vampire remake debuted earlier this year. The horror comedy's original cast has some big shoes to fill – especially where the roles of fanged fiend Jerry Dandridge and vampire killer extraordinaire Peter Vincent are concerned. DreamWorks' new international trailer has arrived and gives us a better look at some of our principal players – namely Charlie's (Anton Yelchin) idol and partner in staking, the new Peter Vincent ("Dr. Who's" David Tennant) who is now a Las Vegas magician instead of a horror TV host.
The trailer also delivers more on the horror front – opening like a snarky comedy before it digs into the dark stuff. Colin Farrell seems to fit the bill as the sexy and scary vamp that retaliates against Charlie for being a nosy neighbor. When the high schooler and his horror-obsessed pal Evil Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) start to spy on the undead activity happening next door, Jerry goes after Charlie's family (Toni Collette), his girlfriend (Imogen Poots), and eventually the teenager himself.

Horror cameos are all the rage in this week's Horror Bites, where the scare classics "Evil Dead" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" will be seeing some famous faces in their reboots of the terror tales.
You'll probably shed a tear learning that Ron Howard's "Dark Tower" adaptation was slashed by Universal, but news that the long-awaited "Cabin in the Woods" – from "Cloverfield" writer Drew Goddard, who co-wrote the screenplay with "The Avengers" director Joss Whedon – is finally getting a release date should quicken your pulse. Friday the 13th in 2012 is going to be a memorable year for the horror spoof about a group of friends who hit the woods for some R&R, but end up fighting for their lives (snarky style).

"Attack the Block," easily one of the most buzzed-about films in recent memory thanks to its film festival presence over the past year, is finally facing a wide-scale release thanks to Screen Gems. The film's a genre bender in the purest sense of the term: it's got science fiction, it's got comedy and, most relevantly to this particular column, it's chock full of horror.

Last week, we told you that the gruesome sequel to Tom Six's "Human Centipede" – about a surgeon who stitches together a gory human chain for his own amusement – was waiting to receive approval by UK censors before a release date was announced. History has taught us that the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) doesn't look too kindly on films with extreme, graphic violence and sexuality, so it came as no surprise, really, when news surfaced that "The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence)" has been officially banned in the UK. This means that the board has refused to give the film a classification, making it illegal to distribute.
Six has a few weeks to appeal the ban, but BBFC director David Cooke has stated that cutting the film still wouldn't make it acceptable for viewing. What prompted the British censors to inflict such an extreme ruling? The answer to that question and much more is in this week's Horror Bites.

Are you afraid of the dark? Don't be — not when there's a creepy new trailer to watch, at least!
The Guillermo del Toro co-written and produced "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" is creeping into theaters this August, and a new trailer has arrived that begs you not to turn off the lights. Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison star in the story about a family who moves into a 19th-century mansion they are restoring. The young Sally (Madison) starts to hear voices who want to draw her to the mansion's hidden and terrifying basement. Something evil is unleashed and haunts the family through the pitch black.

'Fright Night': How The Original Can Inform The Remake

There can only be one original, but that never stopped Hollywood from trying to remake our favorite films. No other genre seems as bloated with remakes as horror, but not every retelling is a terrible thing. "Lars and the Real Girl" director Craig Gillespie will show us what he can do with Tom Holland's 1985 horror classic, "Fright Night," this weekend -- and it got us thinking about all of our favorite moments from the much-loved horror-comedy.
The best movie remakes bring something new to the table, but respect the original material. Here are five things we'd love to see in the new "Fright Night" that pay homage to the original story about a seductive, but dangerous, vampire who goes head-to-head with an inquisitive high school student.
