FROM MTV.COM: Working at MTV News has a lot of cool, weird, random moments. The other day, Jennifer Love Hewitt was hanging out in our lobby whispering into her phone (presumably, a ghost was on the other end). Audrina Patridge comes here more often than the FedEx delivery guy. From Mr. T to Crispin Glover, Dennis Rodman to Jason Reitman, we've seen them all in our building.

But what could be cooler than the time Edward Cullen stopped by?

FROM MTV.COM: The "Twilight" franchise is not just for middle-school girls who need their parents to drive them to the movie theater, and you better not suggest such a thing to 50 Cent.

"Well, what exactly is the target demographic?" 50 wondered when asked what exactly he was doing at the "New Moon" red-carpet premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night.

"Little teenage girls?" MTV News' Larry Carroll suggested.

Tonight marks the Los Angeles premiere of a little movie called "New Moon." Perhaps you've heard of it? Ace MTV reporter and Twilighter-in-residence Larry Carroll will be to chat with the star-studded cast as they arrive. Make sure you browse your way over to Hollywood Crush for our LIVE BLOG, featuring text updates from our crew on the ground in Los Angeles.

But wait! There's more! While we can't smuggle our cameras in to shoot the actual premiere -- Summit Entertainment has some issues with that, if you can believe it -- we can give you the next best thing: a pair of "New Moon"-themed half hour specials, beamed straight into your living room from 10pm to 11pm ET. "New Moon" hits theaters next Friday. Kinda snuck up on you, didn't it? No? Fine then. It's still out next week. And since you readers so enjoy the works of Stephenie Meyer and subsequent big screen adaptations, it's kind of a big deal here in the MTV Newsroom. Across the entire MTV network, really. Which begs the question of how exactly we're going to service the tidal wave-sized fan demand for cool s--t related to the latest "Twilight" movie's release.

Primetime specials, that's how. "Specials" is plural because there'll be two of them: "Love Bites" and "'New Moon' Revealed." Set aside an hour on Monday evening, because MTV will be airing the two specials back-to-back -- "Bites" first, then "Revealed" -- starting at 10pm ET/PT. Read more...

As you all know (after the numerous "call for questions" blog posts), MTV's Larry Carroll sat down last week with the cast of "New Moon." The FULL cast. Well... most of them. The Forks kids from the last movie -- other than Bella, naturally -- were absent. But anyone who was there, we got on camera. Not just video footage -- which you'll see being rolled out over the next few weeks, as the release of the next "Twilight" movie draws closer -- but photos too. Candid photos. Like the one you see below, of Robert Pattinson. Click it to check out the full image gallery.

This week, MTV.com has run a veritable cornucopia of interview snippets with members of the "New Moon" cast. We'll be talking to the stars -- Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner -- tomorrow (along with everyone else), so think of this week's round of questioning as a palette cleanser, something to whet your appetite in advance of the main course we'll be dishing out over the coming weeks leading to the November 20 release of "New Moon."

MTV reporter Larry Carroll probes cast members Billy Burke, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kellan Lutz, Edi Gathegi and Nikki Reed on a variety of topics, from the musical tastes to what they're spending their "Twilight" paychecks on. Hit the jump for highlights and links to the full articles. Read more...

As I told you all earlier this week, MTV ace reporter and Twilighter-in-residence Larry Carroll will be speaking with the cast of "New Moon" (in theaters November 20) very, very soon. And while he has plenty of questions prepped and ready -- heck, there have been strategy meetings to that effect -- he also wants to give you fans a shot at having your own queries heard.

So... here's how it's going to roll. The interviews will consist of four solo sessions, with director Chris Weitz and stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. There will also be three group interviews, with the members of the Cullen family, the Wolf Pack and the Volturi, respectively. That's seven interviews, four solo and three group. In the interests of keeping things fair (and manageable) please send along no more than one question per interview. We'll pare the list down (there's bound to be some overlap) and do our best to make your voices heard. To submit your questions, just e-mail us at tips@mtvmoviesblog.com before the end of the day today.

Yup. You read that right. This week, MTV ace reporter and Twilighter-in-residence Larry Carroll will be speaking with the collected cast members of "New Moon." The interview structure is a bit confusing if you're not a fan, but these groupings should make perfect sense to most of you readers.

For starters, Larry will be speaking to stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner individually, as well as director Chris Weitz. He'll also be doing a series of group interviews, which you can probably guess at the breakdown of: the Cullens, the Wolf Pack and the Volturi. So that's seven interviews in total: the four individuals plus the three groups. Our time is limited, so please keep your submissions to one question apiece per interview. Just send them over to tips@mtvmoviesblog.com by Wednesday night. And get psyched from the November 20 release of "New Moon"!

Jasper's backstory just got a little bit easier to envision. The news broke last week that "Kyle XY" player Kirsten Prout joined the cast of "Eclipse," third movie in the "Twilight" series. She'll play Lucy, a vampire from Jasper Hale's (Jackson Rathbone) past who factors prominently into his coming to terms with joining the ranks of the undead. For those readers out there who aren't as familiar with "Twilight" (all two of you), you can see Jasper being thrown into a grand piano in the "New Moon" trailer below.

Prout is currently in Vancouver shooting for Lifetime miniseries "Seven Deadly Sins," Bloody Disgusting reports. She'll presumably join director David Slade and the "Twilight" team soon, as the "Eclipse" shoot is currently on in Vancouver. Read more...
